it's much harder to know how to handle attention when it's less about her smarts, and more about being cornered in library.

If she had to pick her favorite thing about Christmas, it had to be decorating the tree. It used to be a family activity, something they'd do together without a fight. One of her fondest memories. Naturally, she hopes someone might share her love, would be willing to help her out this years. “I got a tree the other day. Do you want to help me decorate it?”

             WELL IT’S safe to say, this sucked. royally. and the pun was certainly not intended all because they lived in london now. all she wanted to do, was to go home and hug her best friend. but she couldn’t do that now. her best friend lived in new york and she lived in london. but no matter what, she loved her mother and respected her decision. even if she didn’t like it or approve of it. But she said she supported her mother’s decision. Letting out a soft sigh, Riley flopped herself down on her bed, her gaze moving to the ceiling. She heard a knock on her door, ignoring it as she knew whomever it was, would still come in. After another knock on her door, she listened as it opened. “I’m NOT HOME.”

    she’s glad she doesn’t need anything special this time around. as fun as fairy tale worlds are, it does get tiring.  this is what jack would call ‘modern’ and what annie would call ‘kind of boring’, but at least there won’t be big monsters here. and it doesn’t look like there’s a war on. that’s a bonus. 

   and the lady she’s meant to find looks nice. annie’s not sure why they’re meant to find her just yet. the tree house always gives them riddles, not answers. but at least she doesn’t seem mean. annie pops her head over the counter. 

   “hi! i’m from girl scouts,” she is not, “do you have time to help me with a badge?”
