OC INTRODUCTION
Kelifos (She/her)
Blue Dragonborn, early 40s
Beastmaster ranger
Aromantic
Vibe: House of the Rising Sun, from Wolfestein the New Order
BIOGRAPHY
Kelifos was adopted by a couple of halflings as a young child, becoming the eldest of 13 children of various races, all who had been adopted just like herself.
Despite their modest means, Kelifos' childhood was extremely happy. She grew up exploring the wilderness with her siblings. She was encouraged by her parents to pick up hunting as a hobby, and became proficient enough to sell her game at the market, consistently contributing to the family’s income.
One night, after a particularly successful day at the market, Kelifos decided to stop by a local altar to thank the gods. There, she saw her father with a strange woman and, consumed by a sudden, quiet hatred, followed them into a dark alley where she swiftly attacked and devoured them both. She returned home and helped her youngest sister with her studies.
It was not long until an investigation was called. Kelifos knew she had to act fast, and so she convinced her grief-stricken mother to sell all of the family's assets and start a new life abroad.
Contrary to Kelifos' beliefs, their new home was more hostile than she first imagined. The unusual nature of her family arouse suspicion from the locals, who refused to hire any of them. Despite her best efforts, she struggled to provide for her family.
One afternoon, Kelifos was approached by a woman in the market. She offered a generous loan, which Kelifos accepted immediately, but she soon realised her mistake. It was too late now, she had been ensnared by a criminal gang.
Forced to commit heinous acts to keep her family safe, she still found herself burdened by the debt. She turned to adventuring in the hopes of buying back her family's safety while still performing jobs for the gang.

OC INTRODUCTION
Iandara Mandaguari (She/her)
Akangan tiefling (homebrew), mid 20s
Swarmkeeper ranger
Bisexual
Vibe: Feira de Mangaio, by Clara Nunes
BIOGRAPHY
Iandara was born and raised in a village on the northern steppe. Growing up in a time of uncertainty due to the threat of foreign invasion, she was constantly in odds with the village elders due to her curiosity about the outsiders passing through the village.
In an act of stubborness, Iandara decided to participate in the gruelling ritual to select the village's new guardians, the noiteiros. To her own surprise, she was the only one left after hours of having her hands stung by thousands of bullet ants.
As the new noiteiro, Iandara was granted access to part of the Swarm, ancestral souls trapped in insect form, bonded to the earthly realm through rituals using sacred bone flutes, which kept the knowledge the villagers had acquired throughout the centuries.
To the relief of the village, Iandara seemed to take her role seriously, dilligently performing the necessary rituals and chores. That was, however, until the arrival of a mysterious triton, who captivated Iandara like no one had done before.
The triton recruited Iandara's help to study the medicinal properties of local herbs. After months working together, Iandara and the triton decided to get married.
When the big day came, the triton was gone. The noiteiros soon realised that one of the sacred flutes had been stolen. Blame immediatelly fell upon the missing triton, and Iandara was accused of treason and exhilled from the village. She managed to keep her Swarm and thus, survived the crossing of the wastelands until the nearest city.
There, she met an old human tailoress who offered her passage to the Old Continent in exchange for help in her atelier. In this new land, Iandara discovered her true passion: fashion. Slowly, she progressed from fitting clothes to designing and making them from scratch. Her life took another turn when the tailoress passed away, and Iandara was dismissed by her children.
Struggling to survive, Iandara moved into a small room which doubled as her atelier, and started catering to sailors and cabaret performers who valued her willingness to work odd hours.
Fixing trousers proved not to be enough to make ends meet, and with the encouragement of one of her clients, she joined an adventuring party.

OC INTRODUCTION
Eugênia "Geni" Gonzaga (She/her)
Lightfoot halfling, early 70s
Assassin Rogue (yes, really)
Straight
Vibe: I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, by The Ink Spots
BIOGRAPHY
Geni was born in a small rural town. She was taken as an apprentice by a family friend and learned locksmithing at the blacksmith guild.
Over the years, she became so skilled that she was comissioned by nobles and criminals alike. Her most loyal customer was Marco, a farmer who frequently "lost" his keys.
They eventually started dating and got married. It would have been a happy ending, had she not found that Marco was the heir of a cursed bloodline that started to manifest.
Once a week, he would turn into a Lobisomem Espojador, a lycanthrope that got different traits from various animals each time it transformed. This would start taking its toll on his physical and mental health.
Geni gave up on her career entirely to look after Marco and their farm. She eventually managed to adapt their basement into a safe place in which Marco could transform without harming himself or others.
Over 40 years, Geni repeatedly tried to kill the lobisomem in the hopes that it would end the curse and thus, Marco's suffering. She quickly learned, however, that the beast always revived. Her repeated attempts turned her into a skilled assassin, but nothing she tried would take the beast down for good.
One day, Marco suddenly asked for a divorce and kicked her out of their house. Geni, suspecting the curse influenced his decision, refused to accept it until she could confirm his true feelings. She became an adventurer to find a cure for Marco's curse.

OC INTRODUCTION
Quelenna Lua Nova (She/her)
Wood elf, around 120 years old
Way of the Long Death Monk
₊̣.̩✧*̣̩‧.Lesbian₊̣̇.‧⁺̣˚̣̣*̣̩⋆
Vibe: Kot kot, by Käärijä
BIOGRAPHY [TW: DEATH] Born into a well off family of merchants, Quelenna had a normal childhood. She lived in the shadow of her identical twin sister, Calista, but the girls were very close and shared a deep, almost supernatural connection, that forced them to feel whatever the other was feeling in the moment. That little perk became way less fun when Calista contracted a deadly disease during a trip to the Underdark with their father. While the loss affected the entire household, Quelenna bore the brunt of the grief. She experienced every excruciating moment of Calista’s suffering—her pain, her fear, her anger, and ultimately, her euphoria. It wasn't long until her parents could not bear seeing her anymore. After all, how were they supposed to move on when they could see Calista walking around their house? Except it was not Calista, it was her lesser version: not as smart, not as gracious, not as lovable, not as perfect. One Sunday, a servant was instructed to take Quelenna to the local monastery. She never saw her parents again.
The monastery was everything you could expect from worshippers of the Titan of Death. The building’s naturally claustrophobic feeling was exacerbated by the rigid hierarchy and the almost torture-like education methods.
It wasn't all bad, or at least that's what she convinced herself to endure the endless stream of punishments and chores. During this time, she learned the capoeira. The thrill of the fights, the sight of blood, the smell of sweat - beating up people was the closest she felt to the euphoria she desperately sought. More importantly, however, it taught her to never stop moving. And move she did, it wasn't long until she managed to escape the temple of terror. Now that she was free, she decided to never allow anyone to stop her from living as she wished ever again.
Brawling, alcohol, women, spiritual experiences that just so happened to revolve around the consumption of questionable substances - Quelenna wanted it all. She became an adventurer and set out to see the world and experience all it could offer, collecting tattoos and wounds alike. But deep down, she fears that death will always be the only answer to her desires.
--- Thank you for reading all of that. I plan to release one oc intro per week, so if you're interested make sure to stick around for more.

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
here is bashar. i’ve drawn him, spoken to him, and known him now for a few months. any shares help, any art helps. draw who you see, draw what you see. thanks all

Got anything in particular you wanna talk about with the dnd characters? cause I love hearing about people's characters!
I am glad you asked...
...but honestly I don't know what to tell you out of the bucket. I'll post a short biography for each one of them at some point, so keep an eye out for that. What they all share in common - other than being women - is that they've been inspired by Brazilian culture/folklore in one shape or another.
