Ah, another unsuspecting Youkai! Mika sprang from the tree branch with an enthusiastic battlecry and clumsily flew directly at Shou. Youkai extermination or greeting hug? No one knows!

What was that?! A demon out to devour her flesh, or perhaps a fair maiden in trouble? Well, it was neither, except fair maidens suddenly grew on trees. But enough time was wasted for thinking, she now clung to the old girl's face, did she not? And she didn't take a bite yet either, which is good. Slobbering isn't biting. Yet. Ew....Should she fall back and see where this goes?...yeah, why not.

About 5 seconds after the initial impact, Shou acted as if she got knocked back, cushioned only by hard ground and a soft posterior, followed by the realisation that gravity pulls saliva as well, more ew. The girl quickly sat up and carefully moved the spigot from her face, who would have thought, wasn't this li'l Mika?Her father wouldn't leave his beloved daughter alone now, would he?After cleansing her own face a bit, Shou took the young half-tengu up like a mother, looking out for either parent, wondering whether the shrine was closer or the mountain.
