gonna format this one a little differently cus i have a Lot. of ideas

— Past

Met around 16-17, when gurney got expelled and ditched home

Edgar wasn’t going to Bullworth, but he was still living with his parents at this point

They get close relatively quick, and before either of them can process it they were far more than just friends

Spent all day together, fucking around and getting into more trouble than they should have been, but really what more did they have to lose than each other

And they wouldnt lose eachother, right?

Wrong 😂

After a year or two, Gurney realizes that it was more serious than he ever expected it to be and decides he needs to back off

because god he didnt think he was ready for commitment and how was he supposed to have a stable relationship if he couldnt live a stable life

it wasnt right To keep edgar in a relationship he didnt even know would make it much further

so he cut it off, told edgar that he wasnt ready for commitment and just wanted to live a little

wasnt a lie, wasnt the truth

and of Course edgar is going to be hurt by this because oh did he love that boy, but there wasnt that much he could do about it anyway

so now he thinks gurney comes around, all charm and trouble, just to mess around and walk out on him a couple years later

theyre still friends, but distant, because now with a few more people to lean on they both couldnt just leave them also

It was awkward, it was bordering on cruel because after a few weeks gurney was back at it again, smooth words and swift, lingering touches

edgar thought it might kill him, so he took himself out of the equation completely

He already had problems, and he basically used it to his advantage. Edgar was sent to happy volts for [idk i didnt really think about this part Lol he just wanted to get away]

i think he didnt think it was going to be as awful as it Actually was, a few of his friends had been and they made it out alive, why wouldnt he?

He sure made it out alive but it didnt help much, basically making it worse.

by this time (19yo-ish) he couldnt live with his parents, and he didnt have a place of his own, he was practically stranded

Until Gurney came along, once again, with a solution.

He had been doing well enough. (somehow, probably illegally) Owned a Small, rough-looking house in an area that was Not good but they could handle it. Plus it was better than nothing. it was basically edgars only choice. To live with his Ex boyfriend Ex best friend Thing

Gurney truely hadnt changed mych, still bold personality, still hoeing around💀, and Still, unmistakably in love with that boy

it had taken him a minute, but he realized it was a mistake that he couldn’t seem to fix, and once edgar was gone he really believed that he was in fact gone

so when edgar was in need, he was right there to help him out

so now theyre housemates, Lovely

Eventually it was clear that even though it was gurneys house, edgar really had control of everything going on

kind of like when the wife is the man of the house ykwim gurney js listens to him

its weird, at first, to get back into the groove of things. but they do it, and it works. Plus its better than living on the streets or alone.

To try to forget the past for the good of their future was difficult. something like that is hard to forget, especially when the feeling is still there

so as much as they try to push it down, it surfaces sometimes, when one (or both) of them were far from sober.

drunk kisses and slurred words that were eventually forgotten with the next days hangover, but that doesnt mean it wasnt there in the first place.

But they were grown now, they were supposed to be mature about it.

And they were, for the most part. they got along well, still best friends like they were before.

But they were getting tired, both of them, of being just friends.

Gurney tried to talk to edgar about it, but with what hes said, and what he does (out with some girl he barely knows consistently) he didn’t believe thats what he really wanted, and he made it clear

but just as gurney would, he didnt stop trying. After a while he dropped the roster 😬💀😮‍💨 and asked edgar out, For Real

After contemplating, he said yes, because even though it wasnt clear, and even though he tried to be toughabout it, he still yearned. that feeling was still there, and it felt like torture

Edgar told gurney not to get used to it; but before he knew himself, it was one after another and he himself was used to it.

So after years, they were finally back. and both of them couldn’t be more relieved

— Random hcs

- Gurney isnt allowed fire in the house (no lighters no nothing) without edgar knowing he has it

- they found two kittens hiding in their house and with little argument they kept them because even though edgar “didnt want to” he still has a soft spot for them

- Gurney almost ALWAYS has some type of music playing

- they both have separate rooms but after they started dating again youd most likely find edgar sleeping in gurneys bed

- never married, of course, gurney “proposed” with a ring and they made some promise, one that would be kept. kind of went from boyfriend to husband, even though theyd never really refer to eachother as that

- Gurney cooks breakfast and Edgar cooks dinner

- It took a little while for edgar to become completely vulnerable around gurney once more

- Edgar woukd NEVER admit it not even to gurney but he likes being the little spoon

- they didnt tell any of the townies that they were dating (gurney told duncan before it actually happened) (theyre father son to me) and they just let them figure it out on their own

- the fire tattoo on edgars (right i believe?) arm was for gurney and gurney has something for edgar maybe like a ☢️ or sum idk

- they dance together sometimes when its late and theyre probably a little tipsy

I might sound crazy saying this but I looked for Rodney everywhere but couldn't find em in the hashtag, COULD YOU send his character sheet to me because he sounds HELLA interesting :3 I actually found him nevermind- (still send me a million screenshots of your other ocs as well pretty please please please)

and I truly think that Kevin needs someone as Rodney he doezzzz he also likes playing with his hair whenever Rodney conset, and whenever he saw Rodney's star tattoo he start to say how jealous he's of it because his dad say he can get one after graduation.

and Rylie would definitely get kevin to wag his tail around and do stuff for her idly (he's shy around older girls like that or he just likes her hair) And YES Kevin will in fact well.. at least take a tour between classes to find Nikolai an exta pen since he wouldn't have one on him (even for himself) and would probably tease Nikolai for his name by repeating that one meme- "well I just happened to be walking by and I saw you two lovely ladies.. walkin, how you doin kawaii nekos nyan~ roar~.." - from Neko sugar girls (yes he talks brain rot lol)

OMGhHhhhh this is soo frickin cuteeeeee YOU'RE INVITED TO MY FRUIT SALAD DATE- yess yess the carrying part is very accurate because draven always loves to support his darlings emotionally and physically!!!

and for draven, Arlo is actually his first love. when he was 12 he did have a crush on tom gurney before his aunt decided he'd be home schooled after coming home once with hella bruises, the School said that they're handling it with all the prefects around but he kept coming home injured.

in draven's case, actually pure love for someone? definitely a first for him especially after hanging out with the townies for so long. he sketches arlo a lot even when they were just friends because that's his way to cope with not going to school and seeing his friends, HE ALSO TELLS HIS ANUT EVERYTHING HIM AND ARLO DO (he only has his aunt as family) and def the other townies are sick and tired of hearing about "the cute boy from bullworth" draven always looks at arlo like MY FAMILY KNOWS ABOUT YOU lol cute kids. and whenever draven is feeling off, omar be like "Is arlo no more up your ass?" and in short he get teased a lot.

sani mentioned let's goo, I think draven def have an angel tattoo on his ribcage under his left pec lol. and yeah he got it illegally. draven is really close to dotty and he can get vulnerable around them anytime, when his brown roots grow he always go to em to dye it

FOR SIMON AND NIKOLAI tbh a headcanon is that they met as simon was throwing rocks at Nikolai minding his own business I don't know why- like at first whenever nikolai tried to talk to him he'll give him that face >:[ and throw rocks at him (maybe he thought he's like the others wants to hurt him) until Nikolai one day start catching what he throws and ask him "why are you doing this, kid??" then he'll cry on him for some reason and leave Nikolai hella confused. anyways they start becoming friends little by little :D. and simon would only come to that party if kevin was to come lol. AND YOU CAN'T CONVINCE ME simon didn't bite skylar at some point-

w/ Rodney -

w/ Rodney - Rodney would have probably grown up around Kevin, considering he was frequently in town, around the greasers, and eventually became apart of their group. Kevin is two years younger than him, and Rodney is a middle child; so I think this would give them a slight younger/older brother dynamic! :D Rodney would also LOVE the fact that Kev is interested in motorcycles of all things, because Rodney has always worked on motorcycles over regular bikes + had a heavy interest his whole life (hence the nickname ‘Hotrod’).

I could see them being good shoulders to lean on for eachother— especially in the sense of grief or anything that comes with it; Rodney having lost both his parents. Overall I think they’d make really great friends and would have a ‘found family’ type of vibe to their relationship ^_^

w/ Rylie (feat Simon mention) -

Rylie would find Kevin absolutely adorable tbh, probably one of the many boys on campus that she would playfully flirt with to get her way or get a reaction out of him for funsies. I think just like with his buddy Simon, she has a sort of cuteness aggression toward them like they’re some kind of kitten. + she WILL pull puppy eyes on the two of them to get her homework done for free/get a few stolen cigarettes from the greasers.

w/ Nikolai -

Nikolai would find all of the greasers interesting, honestly, the only thing that really makes him a prep is his family name; he doesn’t behave like any of the other preps. This includes Kevin, who I think would honestly be one of the easiest greasers for Nik to interact with casually, considering Simon is friends with him. Nik is like .. this guy isn’t going to IMMEDIATELY kick me in my balls maybe I can ask him for a pencil

DRAVEN

w/ Arlo -

Since your comment made me EXPLODE into a thousand pieces with excitement, let me go on about this rq

Arlo thinks Draven is very handsome. He probably saw him in Draven’s natural habitat, around Blue Skies or New Coventry while Dottie bought weed off of someone; something like that. Arlo wouldn’t be able to remember what was going on when he first saw him anyways, because he’d be instantly crushing.

Arlo is quite the loverboy— hence his polycule lol— but I think his crush on Draven would be extra special considering Arlo has never met a townie he thought of kissing LMFAOOO he would be so intrigued and even more obsessed when he realizes the ‘bad boy’ thing is truly just a look for Draven; and that he’s actually a huge sweetie. The kicker would definitely be if Draven is willing to haul Arlo around a bit on occasion when he doesn't feel like using crutches ;3

I have a doodle in mind for this.. Dottie would definitely be dealing with Arlo zoning out in class thinking of Draven and shes like “ouuhh you like a boy, don’t youuu??”/pos shes so excited to wingman him LMFAOOO

I think his fav thing/first thing he noticed about Draven would be his eyes, and he would love his hair. Besides that, his style would be a big attractor for Arlo; he likes himself a boy that ‘seems’ like trouble, even if he’s not. 10/10 they should kiss

w/ Rodney (feat his older brother mention)

I think Draven and Rodney would get along despite not being from the same clique because, like with Kevin, Rodney would have probably grown up around Draven a bit. Now, i haven’t posted his family yet,, but Rodney’s older brother, Sani, seems like he would also really vibe with D. He’s a tattoo artist, 25 yrs old, and if Draven has gotten any tattoos or piercings before; Sani may have done one or two of em!

w/ Dottie

Right up there with Arlo, Dottie would also think Draven is bonkers cute. She’s far more upfront than Arlo, and they usually make a move on people before he does, but I think they’d actually hold out on saying anything too flirty to Draven for a while because she wants Arlo to make his first move ever/hj (She had to make the first move on him for them to start dating,, HAHA)

She would overall really enjoy bumping into Draven or any time Arlo has him over, probably yapping his face off about some hippie bullshit or squeezing on his muscles because she’s an absolute idiot.

SIMON

w/ Nikolai

Nik is older than Simon, but funnily enough, I think Nik would really want to have his company among the preps. He likes all of his friends, but his family’s name isn’t as pristine as some of the others (his grandpa was a dick and it sort of ruined their reputation for two more generations) so they can treat him like the runt of their group on occasion. That being said, Nik would find some kind of comfort in Simon as they’re both unconventionally rich teens; apart of something they didn’t ask to be included in but here they are,, so might as well try to be friends? For some reason I also feel like Simon would find Nik’s russian accent funny LMAO

w/ Rylie

Like I mentioned in Kevin’s bit, Rylie thinks the two of them are absolutely squishable. Specifically with Simon, however, I think Rylie plays her tricks to try and, via Simon, convince the rich kids to let her throw a party at one of their places (fellow rich girl stranded in smalltown missing her mansion parties 💔💔)

w/ Skylar

Weirdly enough, I can just see these two being a fun party duo if Simon ever finds himself at one. Like the type of duo you see at a frat house; Skylar is probably carrying Simon on his shoulders and making him do karaoke with him tbh 🥀🥀 SORRY SIMON

JOHNNY/GORD HCS

— I think itd be obvious but they arent the healthiest, its those Two, but they learn together

— gord fell first, johnny fell (much) harder

— When theywake up tg, Gord calls johnny really shitty names that would never describe him; like sunshine, cs it pisses johnny off

^ Gord is a morning person, johnny is absolutely not, so hes almost always awake before johnny, and Gord is almost always asleep before him

— gord dressed johnny up in like the preppies style one time it was awful for johnny but fun for gord

— when they first started “dating” (aka; had this weird enemies/freudns with benefits situation) it was horrid, consistent fighting and arguing, not being able to make things work even when both knew deep down they wanted to

^ i think its because they were both nervous in a way, johnny more than gord because how could he go and be so vulnerable with the guy that practically finished his last relationship off

and because of that he got defensive, cruel, tried to ruin things before they even could start

and gord, after so many tries, didnt know if he even wanted to try anymore, and evn though he knew he was in too deep, he backed off

Johnny, now with time to himself realized that he couldnt just leave it like that, and though hes not super in touch with his emotions, needingto be all masculine and What Not, he too realized that he was too far gone, that if he wanred it he couldn’t just leave it hanging for much longer

— Kept it on the LOWWW LOW because aftwr they both just so happened to stop their thing with lola, it already seemed a little odd 🤔

— as healthy as unhealthy can be, its possessive (we know johnny) ( we also know gord 😮‍💨😬) and when they argue its loud and cruel and neither of them seem to hold back, but theyll make up eventually

— gord likes to wash johnnys hair

— wven though gord doesnt seem to be a huge smoker, he tends to a little more when johnny is around

— the adjustment from relationships usually considered rough (although im sure lola and johnny and their sweet moments 😊) was odd, because gord seemed to be unusually gentle

^ and most things in john nys life hadnt typically been from the start; growing up alone, fending for himself, etc. The world hadnt seemed to be too kind to him. So when gord can take his hand, kiss all his knuckles without a second thought, and whisper stupid, sweet things, Johnny barely knew what to think

— now something ive always believed is that johnny isnt a huge ‘i love you’ person. its just difficult for him to say it; in most cases he’ll find a way to show it, platonic or not. all his friends know how he feels

okay hear me out Well.. Since Kevin and Florián don’t go to the same school their dynamic would be more of a casual street-level friendship rather than a deep everyday bond. They’d run into each other in places like Yum Yum Market or the skate park, or through mutual connections (like the greasers or my blonde townie oc that I haven't named yet) Their friendship would be built on banter maybe? low-stakes rivalry and mutual respect even if neither of them would outright say they’re “close.” but they would definitely open a conversation whenever they saw each other on the streets.

Kevin sees Florián as fun to mess with or slightly bully – Florián’s moodiness make him a perfect target for Kevin’s teasing. He’d enjoy pushing Florián’s buttons just to get a reaction because he's a bored sonofabitch. Kevin actually likes Florian's company – his antics amuse him. He cares and if Florían stopped showing up, he’d notice.

they drag each other into random, dumb situations – Whether it’s one convincing the other to try a stupid trick at the skate park or sneak (steal- but they won't call it that) snacks from the store. it goes like this most oof the day's, Florián is on his break outside Yum Yum Market, messing with his skateboard. Kevin, having nothing better to do, walks up and plops down next to him because he can, and they just chat about music or exchanging gossip from each other's schools.

And For Simon And Florián ->

Simon and Florián would probably have an oddly entertaining dynamic because their personalities are pretty different. Since Simon is a prep and Florián is a townie, there’s already some natural friction between them, even if Florián doesn’t care much about school cliques. They’d probably run into each other at the town, where Simon would act all cold and standoffish while Florián would love pushing his buttons just to see him get mad or easily ignore him. but the real problem is when simon is hanging out with kevin and they happen see Florían, Kevin will drag simon against his well and remember this mf is salty af so for him, Florían is on his bad side (I bet he couldn't give a less of a fuck about Simon's feelings towards him but it'd still be annoying)

They probably wouldn’t be friends, but they’d have that irritating-but-can’t-avoid-each-other energy. Simon tries to act like he doesn’t care, but Florián makes it impossible to ignore him (or the other way around) Meanwhile, but mostly Florián enjoys getting under Simon’s skin just for the fun of it.

but hey! They won't say it out loud but they kind of bond over being “outsiders” – Florián was bullied out of Bullworth for his accent and other stuff and simon, if it wasn't for Kevin and his parents he'd try to change schools too himself. he doesn’t particularly belong to any real clique. They both exist outside the usual school hierarchy, which gives them common ground ig.
