After years of waiting and planning every detail of this joyful day, only three days remained until my wedding. Everything was ready—the home, the celebration plans, and all those joyful moments filled with hope.

Because of the genocidal war, my mother did not receive treatment for more than a year, which made her weaker and weaker. And my brothers: Mahmoud Wissam Awad, 19 years old, did not receive high school due to the war, and this led to the destruction of his future. Nour Wissam Awad, 16 years old, was also deprived of her education and life, and her future was destroyed. Ahmed Wissam Awad, 13 years old, was also deprived of education and was deprived of his childhood like the rest of the world’s children. What is his fault when he wakes up to the sound of explosions? What is his fault for coming into an environment where there is nothing but murder and injustice?!

I lived with my family in a warm house full of love and security, thinking about how I could achieve my dreams and become an impactful person in society.

But suddenly, everything changed. The war swept through our city like a relentless storm. In a single night, my home became just a memory, and the city I once knew crumbled before my eyes. The sound of planes and shells became the only thing people could hear. We tried to find shelter, a safe place to hide our dreams and lives, but the war followed us wherever we went.

We were forced to leave everything behind—the house, the memories, and even the university. We became displaced, homeless, with no destination, just trying to survive. I walked with my family through unfamiliar roads, searching for a place to take us in, trying to escape danger, running from one explosion to the next, from one ruin to another.

The war didn't just destroy our city and homes, it destroyed our dreams. My dream of completing my studies became far out of reach, and every day, I feel hope slipping further away. But despite all this, something inside me refuses to give up. There is a desire to escape this reality and build a new life, a life worth living. I dream of continuing my education, I dream of standing on my own feet again and achieving the goal I was once striving for: to help others who have lived through the pain of war like me.

I ask for your help, humbly. I can't get out of these circumstances on my own. The donations you gather will help me travel to a safe place where I can continue my studies and start a new life away from war and fear. I grew up in northern Gaza, where we lived a life of comfort and love 💖🏠, all thanks to my mother, Maysaa ❤️, who has a heart condition 💔, and my father, who worked hard to provide a bright future for us 🌟👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. My siblings—Shabaan, Hanan, Ahmed, and my youngest sister Ameera, our little darling 👧💖—were my closest friends, and we shared dreams 🌈, laughter 😂, and plans for a life full of hope 🌅✨.

I was a student 📚 at the Rosary Sisters School, part of the Union of Churches. My school meant so much to me; it was more than a building 🏫. It was my second home 🏡, a place where I felt safe and happy 😊💛, surrounded by friends and childhood laughter 👦👧💫.

But in a single moment, our lives were turned upside down 💔😢. The war destroyed our home 🏠💥 and my beloved school 🏫💔, and we were forced to flee south under heavy bombing 💣💥💨. We took refuge in the Nuseirat area, hoping to find safety 🤲. Yet even there, we were not spared; fighter jets bombed ✈️💥 the very place where we had sought shelter. I witnessed family members being taken from us in that attack 🕊️😭.

I share my story today as a child who has lost almost everything: my home 🏠💔, my school 🏫🌪️, family members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🕊️, and even my dreams 🌠. I am reaching out not only to share the pain 💔 but to search for a glimmer of hope 🌄 to help rebuild our lives.

It destroyed her future. Shahad is a girl who is talented in drawing and has many drawings. We live in harsh conditions in the middle of a fierce war that completely destroyed our lives. We were bombed more than once and miraculously escaped death. I suffer from chronic heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure, but I have always been the sole breadwinner for my family. I need constant catheterizations to maintain my health. Our situation got worse with the arrival of winter. We now live in a torn tent that does not protect against the cold, and we do not have any means to protect against the harsh winter.

We have to make fire to cook food, and there is no privacy or comfort where we live. The conditions are unbearable, and we have nothing to help us survive in these harsh conditions. In addition, our 7-storey house was bombed and completely destroyed, leaving us homeless and unsafe. Despite my critical health condition, I still have to bear the responsibility of supporting my family and meeting their needs. I need your help.
