Switchr – a free tool for iOS developers
Some of us are checking out other App Store countries constantly. We need to do it to see what’s being featured by Apple in other territories in order to have a better understanding of it. Also, if we’re lucky and our app or game got a feature in some country, we’d like to check it out. Changing stores is not always easy, specially since the introduction of the new App Store in iOS 11 and the removal of the App Store on the latest version of iTunes.
A few days ago, our game Evergrow got featured as Game of the Day in China (awesome!). Long story short, we kind of missed the external promotional opportunities because 1) We were too busy working on our next product, and 2) We didn’t had a simple, fast way to check out what was going on in the Chinese App Store.
After that we decided to develop a small app internally, just to help us with this frequent “switching” of App Stores. But, you know, sometimes you can’t help yourself but to go a step further.
So we decided to spend a few more hours on it and create something that looks nice on our iPhones. And once we had it ready and running, why not share it with our fellow iOS devs?

And that’s the story behind Switchr. A simple, free installable web app to make your daily App Store country switching nice and easy.

Evergrow is launching on February 16th, watch the final trailer now
After 2 years, thousands of lines of code, months of testing, and quite a lot of sleepless nights, Evergrow is coming to the App Store.
This is the most challenging and exciting project I’ve ever worked on. The feedback has been amazing. February 16th can’t come soon enough!

Keep Calm and Keep Growing

Everyone is asking when are we going to release Evergrow. Well, soon – very soon. That means stay tuned because an announcement is really close.
Version 1.0 of the game have been ready for some time (actually release version is gonna be 1.0.5), so we’re not spending so much time coding these days, which feels weird.
These weeks, instead of writing code, we write (and receive) emails, a lot of emails. You know that feeling when you use a song as your wake up alarm? Well, I need change my notifications sounds ASAP.
(That’s actually a good thing when you’re gonna release an indie game.)

Enjoying the moment

I should write a post about my personal experience building a startup and developing a videogame. I’ve been tempted to do it multiple times, but for writing such story I still needed a very important chapter: Launching the product game.
But that is about to change:
The final release candidate for Evergrow is being reviewed by Apple in these moments.
It’s a mix of emotions over here. The waiting is difficult indeed, and sleeping doesn’t look like a viable option.
Evergrow has been in beta for a few months now, and actually previous builds of the game have been reviewed and approved for release in the last months. So I’m positive for this final build. Once approved, we’ll reveal all the launch details.
