this disability pride month I’d like to spread the gospel of the shower chair. I’m not disabled but my father is, and when I first started visiting him from out of town I’d move his chair in and out of the tub as I showered until one day I said fuck it and kept it in.
And oh my god.
If you’re a person who needs a 1000°F shower, get a chair. Get a chair and let yourself sit in the sauna. It’s amazing.
Long live the shower chair.

I know I couldn't handle having kids but if I was left in charge of some, I'd take them to the park to feed ducks. Not bread though, you shouldn't feed that to ducks. We're feeding them lettuce. Let the ducks going apeshit over lettuce show the kids that lettuce is actually awesome. When they go home, their parents are baffled by the fact that the kids are now willingly eating salad. In the most horribly animalistic fucked up way possible.

it's always bewildering to me when the "transfem programmer ~stereotype~" is treated as some kind of like horrible inaccuracy when it makes perfect sense that a group of people who are frequently isolated from public society, deal with societally-imposed difficulty in acquiring and maintaining jobs and higher education, and spend a lot of time in online communities as a result, would be more likely to invest time and energy into skills that allow one to do remote freelance work that is always in demand and is far safer than engaging in sex work. just because it doesn't describe everyone in a group (god knows it doesn't describe me, though i do have to learn some python soon lol) doesn't mean that it isn't a real trend that exists for real reasons
