I enjoy that they went with more unknown actors for Link and Zelda instead of stunt casting but that is not enough to convince me that this movie isn't going to be absolute garbage
#wonder if they've casted ganondorf...#still a large part of me hoping this movie gets stuck in development hell and never actually happens

One of my most recurring Ganondorf related thoughts is wanting to see a Ganondorf who has been sealed away for eons have to reconcile with how the Gerudo have changed. Especially if he perceives them as doing better without him. Especially especially if they have a new king who is different from Ganondorf in basically every way.
#ganondorf#by better of without him i don't mean in the 'he was a bad king' way but more the 'eons have passed and nothing is the same' way#not that he would take it like that#throwback to when i thought totk would have aspects of this#almost as annoyed at the fact that ganondorf and riju don't interact as i am at the fact that ganondorf and zelda don't interact#i think he would find the wilds era gerudo pathetic tbh#he would not enjoy the marriage fixation

It's pretty crazy to me that Koji Kondo was able to compose all those ocarina melodies that all sound so memorable and distinct and all start with some combination of the same five notes
#ocarina of time#loz music#and then as if that wasn't enough he went and added a bunch more in majora's mask#i don't think oot is my favourite zelda ost (that would probably go to skyward sword) but i think it is the one that impresses me the most#anyway my friend gifted me an ocarina for my birthday#and so now i will learn all of the oot/mm ocarina songs

Reason #97 why TP zelgan is best zelgan: they are both so beautiful, what a striking couple seriously
#zelgan#zelda#ganondorf#twilight princess#i think this is my favourite design for both of them#this is the ganondorf that has the biggest 'yep that is the embodiment of power right there' vibes to me#and this zelda is so elegant#give me more brunette zeldas nintendo please#tp probably has my favourite link design too while we're at it#but this isn't about him

One of the coolest (and maybe scariest) things about TP Ganondorf imo is that he has such control over his magic that he's able to transform between his man and beast forms at will
#ganondorf#twilight princess#tp ganondorf making me feel things as usual#in the game so little but he has such a chokehold on my brain#was thinking about this because i was thinking about zelda riding around on his back hehe

my favorite genre of fictional character is like "i am terrifying to almost everyone, i'm very good at killing, i can endure anything, i've become exceptionally good at playing into my reputation, and if you try to give me positive social interaction i will react with confusion and cower in a corner like an abused animal. and i may try to shoot you. but there is also a chance i may imprint on you like a feral dog receiving its first loving touch! good luck."
#ganondorf#zelgan#kind of#especially with a monster ganon but i think human ganondorf has aspects of this too#i think some part of him craves affection and human connection but he is also terrified of it

Chapter 64 🫂, traveling~
[A sketch for today! Nocturne, Ganondorf’s large, black stallion. It’s bridle is made of black leathers, adorned with gold and emeralds. It’s mane is styled in banded segments, some braided and some left free. (Guess who has never drawn a horse before!? It’s meeeeee.)]

Every so often I see people say they should make the wilds era into a trilogy and make another game with that map and I think that might be the one thing that would make me quit this series entirely
#dunno what to tag this#botw critical#totk critical#i suppose#i might be able to tolerate a third game with this link and zelda if they actually went somewhere new#though i really think it's past time to leave them in the past#but to reuse the map again? idk how anyone can possibly want that

I love finding screenshots of Ganondorf looking calm and content. There's few and far in between and they last only a millisecond in the cutscenes but they put him in a different light.
It's a delight.
Me too anon. I collect such little nuggets of joy

Thinking about a backstory for a Terminian Ganondorf... Not sure whether Kotake and Koume stole him away from the Gerudo pirates as a child or if as an adult he just went 'yeah I'm not really into this piracy and egg theft stuff' and left to pursue his real dreams (of opening a fishing hole)
#ganondorf#majora's mask#kind of leaning towards the first one but the second could be fun#either way i think aveil is his sister#need to figure out what zelda's deal is too

Chapter 63 😈, fantasy.
[Ganondorf above Zelda, her petit body gently crushed beneath him. His hand is intertwined with hers while the other cradles her head, silken hair between his fingers. With his teeth he pulls to rip a button off her lavender pajamas as they both clearly enjoy this moment.]
[A close up of Ganondorf and Zelda’s faces.]

...maybe I need to block that confessions blog that tumblr keeps recommending to me, I just keep seeing the worst takes imaginable
Seeing people say they should retire Ganondorf feels just as insane to me as if someone said they should retire Link or Zelda. He feels just as much part of the heart of this series as those two to me

#ganondorf#this is not saying that they shouldn’t make games without him#because they should if they have good ideas#and i for one am dying for another game set outside of hyrule#and likewise i think if they have a good idea for a game that doesn't include zelda or even link they should go for it#but the idea that ganon should be retired entirely???#yeah his totk writing was not great but that doesn’t seem like a reason to just never try again#idk man i really don't get zelda fans sometimes
