What do you think Jack would have done had he found out that Danny was Phantom and that Vlad was a halfa mid-way into the show?

DANNY:He’d feel a bit guilty that his work was responsible for changing his son like that– but it would be overshadowed by his pride at his son using those powers to do some good in Amity Park. His son, Danny Phantom, the hero. 

Knowing Danny was Phantom wouldn’t change his mindset about all ghosts, but he would accept Danny and wonder why his son never told him earlier. I’m certain exactly what happened between them in Phantom Planet would occur– Jack offering to let his son be his ghost-fighting sidekick. 

Throughout the entire series it is never up to speculation how much Jack loves his family. That love is without end or equal. He’d put himself in harms way for them, he’d gladly fight an army of ghosts to keep them safe and he’d sure as hell sneak some tech into the outhouse to ensure they were protected. So if Danny had ever come out to him at any point in the series, he’d just scoop his son up into a hug and reiterate how much he loves him, ghost powers and all. [And offhandedly remark about how clever Danny must have been to hide that fact from him, since he’s so darn perceptive.]

VLADThis discovery would be a bit more devastating on Jack. Ever since the accident, all he thought he did was give Vlad a spot of bad acne. So his apologies, get well letters, and all that weren’t too heartfelt, more just GET WELL SOON VLADDY SO YOU CAN COME HANG WITH ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND, MADDIE.

But to learn that he had turned Vlad half ghost, that Vlad had to go through that all alone, that his rude quips to Jack were how he actually felt– that because of Jack he had to live through such a traumatic experience… I’m sure Jack would be beside himself with guilt. He wouldn’t be able to find words to say he’s sorry enough and would probably be willing to let Vlad [or Plasmius] lash out at him to make amends.

Again, Vlad has always fallen under the blanket of ‘People I care about’ to Jack– he loves Vlad the way one loves a brother. To have been responsible for putting him through a hell like that would hurt. What makes matters worse is that Vlad would probably relish the pain he could inflict on Jack. The guilt and sadness he could cause just by walking into the same room. 

Jack would try to perk up, try to find ways of making it up to Vlad but he’d probably accept none of them. To see Jack crumble like that would be far sweeter than just killing him.
