Meeting the Jedi had been by chance. Zoro had heard stories of them as knights, as great warriors. He hadn't seen the girl in front of him fight much but what he had seen so far was impressive. Was it lucky or unfortunate? He wasn't sure yet. But he was ready to find out.

Maybe this hunt wouldn't be a complete bust.

"Anyways I think we have the upper hand. A Mandalorian and a Jedi?" Zoro smirked at Sai, sharp as a knife, before slipping his helmet back on. He took a sword in each hand before going to stand in front of her. "They'll never see it coming."

Zoro couldn't help the amusement he felt bubbling up. He quickly took a drink before he could actually laugh out loud. He set his drink down with a loud thunk before leaning over to pour more of Nami's alcohol of choice into her cup. If this was the direction the conversation was taking they might need a few more drinks.

He sat back down and looked at Nami with a smirk.

Kalifa had joined CP9 young but later than the others. She had still been a child, of course, but she remembered the time before the training began. She knew some of the others didn't have that. She was lucky in that regard.

But she would give all of those memories up to just have Kaku back. She would forget every memory she had of her father to have him by her side again. Nothing felt right with him gone. It was like she was missing a limb. She still had the others, and she was forever grateful for that, but Kaku was different.

She missed him. Oh, how she missed him.

"I just," She paused for just a moment. "I just want to know why you left."

Beckman had only been away from his crew for a few days, his errands had taken him inland, but he had missed it. Missed the sea. Missed the crew. Missed home. There was nothing quite like a party on the open seas with the people he cared for most in this world around him.

Of course, he wouldn't tell them that. They all have big enough heads as it is.

"If you're so glad to see me, you should order me a double," Beckman joked, bumping his shoulder against Yasopp's. "You wouldn't believe what I overheard in town."

When was the last time someone said they were proud of him? He honestly couldn't remember anyone ever saying it. It didn't matter if someone had or not but...

Zoro opened his eye to look up at Nami. He knew he had a reputation for being unfeeling or even heartless at times. But he did care for his crew. He liked knowing he could rely on them. The opposite was also true. There was a sense of fulfillment in knowing they felt the same.

A smile worked its way onto his face.

"Yeah, yeah," Zoro said. He closed his eyes and nudged her with the toe of his boot. He felt... content. "Proud of you, too, witch."
