The minotaur is doing this because he wants to use the comic to warp public perception of Thor to make him stupid

on the topic of gambit n the x men I am currently thinking of one of my fave lil pairings……. remy lebeau and logan howlett…..but SPECIFICALLY from x men origins where they had a five minute whirlwind romance together on screen

Today sure was a day for ruining Magneto's character huh....

First, Resurrection of Magneto depicted him without his tattoo, and then X Men 97 had him say that the Holocaust was about religion and that Jews oppressed him.

I hate it here.

the x men 97 animation is soooooooooo comforting. that’s the style of my childhood. that’s a style I have seen in countless tv shows for countless hours on countless saturday mornings. the colors are bright and blocky. the black outlines are thick. there’s not too much going on in the background that it’s distracting. the mouths move just enough. I cry

Gambit in X-Men '97

this is something that’s often missing from batman media. bc his parents death might have been the catalyst, but GOTHAM created batman. he was born in the shadows by its corruption, by the people who raised him, by the curse of the city itself. this little boy never stood a chance

gotham (2014) really did a deep dive into the very conception of batman in a way no other live action version has, or likely will ever. batman was born in an alleyway of gotham (a hellish and cursed city overrun by the mob, with a corrupt political and judicial system and not a single clean cop, where the craziest thing you’ve ever seen happens everyday) and protected/nourished by a cutthroat sarcastic butler with a dark past and a hated self sacrificing cop with an even darker future. at twelve years old bruce wayne was learning how to fight, how to build bombs, researching every inch of gotham’s crime and corruption, threatening the dirty board members at wayne industry. the show explored the complexity of relationship with alfred, and how alfred (while only wanting to protect bruce) is just as much to blame for batman as martha & thomas’ deaths. we watch bruce lose his innocence, and almost lose himself in his journey to become the dark knight. gotham said : u will watch the birth of the bat

I hate (love) them so much

the scene where matt & foggy decide to open nelson & murdock together under the neon lights of josies bar is such a mess of them being overtly romantic / in love while simultaneously friendzoning each other. like foggy says ‘I’m with you. for better or worse’ to which matt replies, a lil flirty, ‘sounds like we’re getting married’. foggy laughs and says ‘this is way more important than a civil union (sus sus sus)’ but then follows it up with ‘we’re gonna be business partners!’ then follows THAT up with ‘we’re going to share everything. our thoughts, our dreams, bills, crushing debt.’ matt, in a sea of mix signals ‘there is no one I’d rather be doing this with…. buddy’. foggy replies ‘me too. pal.’ girlies I’m going to kill u

there was such an insane amount of fatphobia when it came to shipping discourse back in the day I simply have not forgotten. I don’t believe in telling ppl “you have to ship this” but so many people rather said “I don’t get HOW you ship this” to mattfoggy stans despite the amount of canonical evidence we had (you’re not going to kiss me, sounds like we’re getting married / this is more important, you’re REALLY attractive). it’s one thing to not like a ship but then say how much it doesn’t make sense and go into inboxes talking about how ugly foggy is…….

……….wondering if there will be a matt x foggy resurgence bc of the new season / wondering if I need to be prepared to fight ppl with a bat “I see what mattfoggy stans were on about” now that elden is more “conventionally” good looking in the series (wearing nicer clothes, well groomed hair / beard, lost weight). will be giving ppl the benefit of the doubt especially if it means more truthers join the ranks but I WILL be wary……..
