One of the healthiest couples in Miraculous

for the writing challenge and myvan may, just mylene and ivan.

Mylene is Ivan’s greatest inspiration for his songs and poems. He’s written so much about his love for his girlfriend that he could probably fill multiple books with just the highlights

Mylene was never a huge fan of rock music before she started dating Ivan, but he was able to bring her around to it. She’s especially developed a love for Joan Jett, Green Day and Bon Jovi

Neither needs a single word to know when the other needs something, whether it be comfort, affection, support or whatever else it may be. They know each other’s tells and act on them before ever needing to be asked

The two are fiercely protective of one another, no matter what the situation. Anyone who upsets or does anything to hurt Mylene will find out exactly why you should avoid making DuPont’s resident gentle giant angry. And anyone who tries to dismiss Ivan as a mindless brute or even goes the opposite way and insults him for being too “soft” will be torn a verbal new one by the tiny activist

They trust each other implicitly and completely, and tell one another everything. Mylene was the first person Ivan opened up to about the situation with his biological father, and she can always talk to him about her struggles with anxiety. They also don’t keep things from each other. (When a guy from her junior theater troupe asked her not to tell her boyfriend after he made a physical pass at her which she refused, that didn’t work out for him)

These two are huge cuddlebugs, especially with one another. They’re almost always curled up in each other’s arms. Whether he’s picking her up or she’s pulling him down for a hug, they feel secure in each other’s arms

If there’s a day where they don’t see each other, they make it a point to at least try and text each other to ask about their day. Just some assurance that they’re doing alright is all they need. One will also usually call the other to say good night as well, just to close the day on a good note

They often talk about things like their future wedding or what their lives together as adults will be like. They know without a doubt that they love each other and can already envision spending life by one another’s side, so talking about these things isn’t daunting to them

Even before they revealed their identities to one another later on, each felt a strange sort of protectiveness towards the other while in hero mode. Even with the magic of the Miraculous, they could subconsciously recognize the one they love

Saw the post comparing Canon Mendeleiev to Nath’s mom so I like to imagine in our canon that when Mendeliev saw Nath was drawing in her class, she talked to him privately after class, stern but understanding. He told her about how he’s not allowed to draw comics at home and she got pissed at his mom.

Mme. Mendleieve: … What?

Nathaniel: M-my mom hates comics and the last time I- sh-she shredded it…

Mme. Mendleieve: … I’m going to have a VERY long talk with your mother. For now, if you must draw in my class, turn your notes into a comic, please. I’ve seen your work, and it is impressive, but I’d still like for you to improve your grade.

Nathaniel: O-okay.

Mme. Mendleieve: Now get to your next class, and if you hear screaming, don’t worry about it.

And that’s how Mme. Mendleieve helped Nathaniel’s aunt Aya get custody, helped raise Nathaniel’s grade, and helped visual learners by printing his note comics

Actor AU: Mylene and Ivan, what were your favorite scenes to film together?

Mylene: Well, the fourth season in general was kind of a mess, but I did really enjoy our scenes in Mega Leech. It was nice to get to portray how supportive we are of each other. We don’t get screen time like that a lot!

Ivan: I liked a lot of our scenes in Horrificator, especially the scene where ‘Lene is changed back. Like Mylene said, it’s one of the few spotlights our relationship got.

Mylene: The show and the writing weren’t always great but we did get to have some nice moments here and there. That doesn’t mean we don’t regret leaving after season 5, and appearing in more independent productions, mind you.

Ivan: We’re definitely much happier with our work now.

The god of time and the former king of the titans, and father of Adrien (Zeus), Kim (Poseidon), and Nathaniel (Hades). He locked his sons away in Tartarus as children to secure his power, but was defeated and imprisoned by them. Nath makes time every week to go down and troll him.

Emilie: Rhea

The former queen of the titans, ex-wife of Gabriel. She despised him for imprisoning her sons and helped overthrow him. Still mothers the heck out of her boys (and the new gods in general), regardless of how powerful they are.

Anarka: Leto

Goddess of motherhood and mother to Juleka (Artemis) and Luka (Apollo). Will eff you up if you mess with her kids, and vice versa. Still a chaotic free spirit.

Jagged: Aeolus

God of the winds and father of Luka and Juleka. Serves as mentor and teacher to the four young wind deities, telling them where the winds are needed that day. Still loves music.

Clara: Euterpe

Muse of Music, and eldest of the nine. Her younger siblings all adore her and she helped them all to embrace and master their special talent.

Vivica: Calliope

Second eldest muse, muse of poetry and epics. A bit shy, but loves to perform with her siblings.

Lucien: Zelus

God of envy and jealousy. In love with obsessed with Marc (Persephone), and couldn't handle it when he chose to be with Nathaniel. (Mylene (Demeter) feckin' HATES him, and has threatened him with a pitchfork more than once.)

Emani: Dolos

God of manipulation and control. Former lover of Nathaniel who would do anything to have him back.

Duusu: Argus

Marinette's (Hera) sacred peacock, and beloved companion.

Liiri: Aetos Dios

Adrien's sacred eagle, who carries messages for him and serves as a companion.

Xuppu: Delphinius

Immortal Dolphin, and Kim's best friend. Was his wingman and helped him get together with Ondine (Amphitrite).

Kaalki: Pegasus

Immortal winged horse, famed mount of heroes. Found as a foal and reared by Max (Athena).

Socqueline: Heracles

Greatest mortal hero who ever lived, had the strength of a god. Wore a lion pelt.

Aeon: Helen of Troy

Most beautiful mortal woman who ever lived, kidnapped as a teen by the Trojans for their prince. The Gods sided with the Greeks in the war to bring her back.

About Canon Nath

I remember making a post awhile back about my dislike for Canon!Nathaniel. After watching the Ruler (the first episode where I thought he was truly well-written), my view of him has softened. While I still find Evillistrutator and Reverser to be problematic, it's not like Nathaniel had good parenting. Perhaps his outbursts were a result of trauma and issues of not being heard by his mom and dad. If they keep writing and improving Canon!Nath's character, I honestly can say my previous dislike of him will become outdated.
