THEORY#1

First Day after BOBF CHAPTER 6

In a flashback sequence of The rise Kylo Ren we see a young Ben Solo with Voe, Hennix, and Tai, learning the ways of The Force from Luke Skywalker. It's then that we get the quote below, in which Ben confirms that he was the very first student that Luke Skywalker took on after the fall of the Empire, while trying to rebuild the Jedi Order:

"We all studied together," Ben says. "I was first, but they came not long after. Voe, Hennix and Tai."

Of course Luke’s first student was Leia, but she didn’t technically complete her training, making her son Ben the first official Jedi Padawan in Luke’s new academy.

So Grogu was never his first student! That makes it clear that the little Jedi will not choose to complete his training
