For extra crunch, you can add chopped nuts on top of the oat mixture if you want to. After the oven is hot, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. A hearty and tasty stew with vegetables, tender beef, and the rich malty flavor of Oktoberfest lager beer that was inspired by the festival.
Ingredients: 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed. 2 tbsp vegetable oil. 1 large onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 4 carrots, sliced. 4 potatoes, diced. 1 cup green beans, trimmed and halved. 2 cups cabbage, shredded. 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes. 1 bottle 12 oz Oktoberfest lager beer. 4 cups beef broth. 1 tsp caraway seeds. 1 tsp dried thyme. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Add salt and pepper to the beef stew meat. Turn on the saut mode on the pressure cooker and heat the vegetable oil. The seasoned beef should be browned in batches and then moved to a plate. Put chopped onions in the pressure cooker and cook them until they turn clear. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute. Pour in the Oktoberfest lager beer and scrape the bottom to get rid of the foam. Put the beef that has been browned back in the pot. Then add the potatoes, green beans, cabbage, diced tomatoes, caraway seeds, and dried thyme. Put the lid on the pressure cooker and turn it on to high pressure. Cook for 25 minutes. After you're done, let the pressure drop naturally for 10 minutes and then quickly let go of the rest of the pressure. If you need to, change the seasonings and serve hot. If you want, add fresh herbs as a garnish.
