While Christmas Day is the last day anyone should ask for you to spend more money, I'm asking you to spend more money. A dollar. Five dollars. Whatever you've got. Elon Musk wants to own Wikipedia - one of the last reliable sources out there, and the only one not owned by a billionaire or corporation.
If you can't donate, this message isn't for you and you should not feel bad.
If you can donate to Wikipedia to keep it out of Musk's filthy, blood-stained hands, please do.
Here's the donations page.

Locked tomb hot takes:
Insisting that the birth of Paul is only a tragedy because of the uneven power dynamics between Palamedes and Camilla as Necro and Cav invalidates Camillas autonomy and undermines her as a character capable of making her own decisions. It also undermines Palamedes constantly checking for consent. He understands more than most that there is an uneven power dynamic and actively works to respect her autonomy as much as he can while also respecting their bond/positions as necro and cav.
In a world where those who identify as men have no natural power over those who identify as women or neither, we can not apply the same cisheteronormative expectations of male behavior to male characters.
Camilla made every. Single. Choice. Willingly. She had reasons for it, and Palamedes respected that more than readers seem to. We get plenty of examples.
"What would you do if you discovered Camilla was a murderer?”
“Help her bury the body,” said Palamedes promptly.
“Sextus.”
“I mean it. If Camilla wants someone dead,” he said, “then far be it from me to stand in her way. All I can do at that point is watch the bloodshed and look for a mop. One flesh, one end, and all that.”
GtN chapter 30

NtN chapter 17
The relationship between these two may be codependent, but it's predicated on trust and consent. The whole way through. This is the life Cam wants to live. Becoming Paul was what *she wanted*. Grieving Palamedes and Camilla is natural of course, but I find it strange that some people think they know what's best for her more than she does, just because she's a cavalier.

Tamsyn Muir truly is something else for creating a world of widespread poverty, instability, and hunger where different cells of a galactic terrorist organization fight each other for power in a setting reminescent of a failed state as a bloody civil looms and a Melancholia-like supernatural entity hangs in the sky and enemy demi-gods threaten to invade and persecute the population AGAIN, and then telling the story through the eyes of a character who perceives barely any of this, cares about none of it, and whose only ambition in life is cuddling with her parental figures, avoiding breakfast, and keeping her place in a gang of schoolkids who fell straight out of a Stephen King novel.

Ianthe helped a girl lobotomize herself and said "omg meet cute??" And then spent the whole book acting like a bad boy love interest but forgot about the part where he's actually nice to the girl.

The health insurance industry has a term for this sadistic practice. It's called "step therapy." If the choice is between a more expensive medication that works and a cheaper one that doesn't work as well and might have worse side effects, the insurance company requires that the cheaper drug be used first.
One benefit to the insurance company is that the patient on the cheaper drug might die before they get a chance to use the drug that works but is more expensive. That's money in the bank for the insurance company.
Or, the patient might be so worn down and harmed by the cheaper drug that they just give up the fight to get the drug that will help them. Again, that's bank for the insurance company.

This year’s spotify wrapped is so lame. No specific slide for all the genres we listened to this year? No personality types or some other fun thing? This looks as if someone made it yesterday, disappointed
