It is is heavily influenced by traditional 17th century Dutch dolls houses and is made to 1/10-1/12 scale, with 20 rooms and a working electrical system. The style of the building and rooms span a period from late nineteenth century to the 1950s and portrays aspects of Dutch and Australian life from that time (via).

Every time I reopen the early Worlds Behind books I become more aware of the depths of YeoWoo's Problems <3
YeoWoo, inside her own head, constantly:
"you see my Revenge is All and it justifies all. I had to cut myself off from everything else for it, and also now I HAVE to pursue my Revenge because I have nothing else. No this isn't circular reasoning."
"I balance my own goals and my moral standards by deciding I won't witness evil and do nothing and then trying very hard to make sure I never technically witness evil."
"I'm justified in not treating Athelas as a person because he is Pure Evil. I am also justified in not treating him as Pure Evil because my Revenge is a higher goal. It's the perfect combination to rationalize using him as a tool!"

pulled up the audio for WB 2 on Hoopla and. Athelas. GOSH. he really does open his narration by analyzing a series of neutral-to-negative interactions and going "oh NO I'm getting ATTACHED I'm giving myself AWAY I must retreat"
