Jay was raised by two moms

Ok so first, Jay totally came from a teen mom. He instantly looks for some way to connect with Jamali because he knows how hard it is because hes watched his mom struggle his whole life and he wants to help Jamali the best way he can. Jays birth mother is bi, and Jays birth father left when Jay was about one. Jays mom met jays other mom at college, which is incredibly difficult for her now that shes on her own with a son (she dumped Jay on his grandma a lot, but she didnt mind). Jays ofher mom was in a band, a drummer, and she invited Jays mom to a show. She didnt know about Jay yet because Jays mom was scared she’d turn away instantly. Jays mom brought up that she probably wouldnt be able to make it because of Jay, and instead of rejection Jays other mom said “i can do a show a little early just for you and him. Does he like drums?"When Jay was three he and his mom moved in with his other mom and she got him a baby drum set, which in retrospect was a mistake because he loved banging on that thing (jamalis baby absolutely gets it when their old enough)Flash foward to jay meeting Jamali, after the science museum, jay brings her over back to his place to meet his moms and they fucking love her, instantly adopt her. And Jays moms because Jamalis babys grandmas and take care of them when Jamalis in school because "youre such a smart girl, you need to go to school”

Ethan is Trans

Reasons:

Compared to the other guys he has a pretty feminine face and small figure

Tried to kill himself (trans culture hahahaha)

Yeah it makes sense he would be bullied for being emo, but at a christian school being trans would get you almost killed (i speak from experience)

Feels comfy in makeup, slowly works it out of his system (i did the same thing as did other trans dudes i know)

His clothing seems pretty gender neutral, which means he probably still has some wardrobe from before he came out

Speaking of clothes, he fit perfectly into trinitys clothes, even in that situation he picked clothes he could hide in a little bit

To trinity his family and house seems very nice, but its possible he hates them because they frequently misgender him

Is very uncomfortable around the church
