I know it I can just feel it in my bones that when Hal was catching up with Jessica and she told him that she had a thing with Barry he fell to his knees at the fact that Barry dated a Green Lantern and it wasn’t HIM.

Back when Sinestro was still a Green Lantern, there was a particular planet in his sector that was always causing issues bc the monarch was an idiot and his "great ideas" always caused a ton of problems that Sinestro would then have to swoop in and fix. The monarch never did any real harm and his people loved him, so he just remained a low level annoyance for years. He wasn't malicious or anything, just dumb and surrounded by yes-men.
After he's banished to Qward, Sinestro claws his way back home to get revenge on the Guardians but first he stops by that planet and beats up the monarch with all the wrath of a retail worker who just clocked out.

Just saw a post that abbreviated corporation as “corp” and that moment of whiplash gave me a new idea for “evil Green Lanterns” from some parallel earth
The Green Lantern Corporation, an intergalactic conglomerate that deals in private military contracting, weapons manufacturing, and other shady stuff. The GLC’s executives, the Weaponeers of Oa, hire mercenaries from all over the universe to instigate conflicts, taking advantage of the chaos to sell arms to every side for maximum profit.
Agents of the corporation are often hired out as private muscle, usually to tyrannical despots who need enforcers or assassins but occasionally legitimate planetary governments will also pay for contracts. Earth has produced quite a few of the GLC’s top assets.
Space is a cyberpunk dystopia spread across the whole universe. The Green Lantern Corporation is the most influential megacorp in the cosmos but it has its rivals, like the Tression Company or the Reach Conglomerate.

idea I want to jot down before I forget: power rings translating mundane things while GLs are chilling at home. Hal is sitting on his couch and sees like, the tomato sauce commercial scored with la donna e mobile and he's like "what the fuck is happening right now why is this guy singing about how much women suck"

Y'know the Tiktok video trend where a younger sibling does something diabolical like pouring water on their older sibling, then trying to escape but the cameraperson locks the door on them?
Slightly shaky video of the Lanternfam's backyard. Simon is silently creeping up behind Kyle, who's lounging in a hammock and reading manga. Simon hefts a banana cream pie and smashes it down on Kyle's head. Kyle screeches with rage and the hammock flips over, dumping him on the ground unceremoniously.
Simon roars with laughter as he runs toward the camera, but his gleeful expression turns into one of betrayal as Keli's hand reaches out from behind the camera to lock the door. A giant glowing green hand closes its fingers around Simon and drags him offscreen as Vocaloid music starts to play...

Hal knows full well that there are over a thousand Pokemon by now, but insists on calling all of them "Pikachu" because he enjoys the pained expressions it causes anyone younger than him
Guy earnestly tries to remember every Pokemon's name because that's the sort of thing that kids care about. He gets irascible when Hal is being deliberately obtuse
Hal: Oh look, a Pikachu! (pointing at a Fuecoco plushie) Guy: Jordan, I am going to nail you to a steel beam and throw it into the ocean

A very lovable, wonderful dude, but nevertheless, a completely different character!!!!! You're causing brain short-circuits every time you mix them up!!! I'm thinking of a whole different guy!!! Why would Connor be hanging out with Tim Drake??????

Was rereading some of Hal’s 1990 Green Lantern run and while I dont like much of it personally later on I ADORE how tactile he was with John and Guy so I took screenshots of my personal favourite ones. He really was the dad of the Corps.

hal greets arisia like a sister and welcome her to the corps like a sister but the more time passes the more he realizes she also sees him as an older brother/mentor/someome to be inspired by and it scares him because it's a great responsability but he doesn't want to disappoint her
then parallax happens and he tries to convince her that this is all alright! he's doing it for good! you will understand him!
and then he dies. and then he comes back. and he sees arisia keeps his jacket. martin's jacket. and he realizes that he became his father.

Interesting little detail from GL 2005 #26: While Laira is on trial, Hal states that he spoke up in favor of Sinestro before he was banished, which I found super interesting for a couple reasons. Mostly bc I've read fan-written summaries of this scene where they state Hal reflects on how he testified against Sinestro, even though that's not what is happening on the page, and because that's a theme that we see in a lot of SinHal fanworks.
I figure a lot of people assume that Hal testified against Sinestro because that's how it went down in Emerald Dawn 2 and because Sin was doing something evil so Hal would naturally oppose him.
But I actually feel like there's tons of storytelling potential here, like maybe Hal was in total denial until Katma took the stand with years and years worth of evidence. IDK, just a tiny detail I found interesting, and I do wish they'd do a full retelling of that era, not just the glimpses we saw in Secret Origins.
