RANT TIME : Pride Festival in Kentucky

I don't know how to start this since I haven't been on here in so long, but I'm just start off with my weekend. On Saturday, I had went to Pride Festival, where I never felt more alive than anything. I felt so accepted and i never wanted to leave. Though there were God protesters, I did not care about them. With being a closet Lesbian, it is really hard to feel comfortable in my own skin around my parents, especially my mother, who even though had many gay friends, would not allow such "behavior" as long I was living under her roof. So when I questioned this reasoning, she thought I was smarting off and told me I owe her the money she lent for for the festival that she didn't know I went to. I enjoyed the festival as long as I could, and I am glad I got to experience this with so many open arms and hearts, and knowing that there are other people supporting me along the way. I have and still am struggling with my growing body, but when I went to the doctor and saw I weighed 159, my first thought was that is just a number, that a number cannot dictate my happiness like pills on a bottle or the amount of calories, they cannot measure to the amount of self worth I feel for myself.
