Once Upon a Time (three years ago)…

I did a physical print run of this little fairytale au Good Omens fanfic that I wrote. It was intended as a just-for fun art project, but ended up selling so many books that we got a bulk discount, and raised some money for the Trevor Project. Huzzah!

Over the years I’ve had a lot of people ask if I’d ever do another run, and I’m happy to say that I finally have the time! So without further ado, the final pre-order will be opening TODAY, in my BigCartel shop, to run for two weeks. Ending June 18!

This new edition will also include the current two continuation ficlets on AO3, as well as a bit of new art from the amazing cover artist Martina 💜 I’m also going to be doing the same “Raven Post” packaging as before (see story hilight for example), with an added themed bookmark or some similar merch item.

The down side is, the books are more expensive than last time. Between tariffs and the general state of the world, production costs of everything have skyrocketed. I hate that, but there’s no getting around it. To do a reprint as nice as before with the same spot-UV cover detail and 13+ color illustrations inside (and since the book is over 500 pages long) it now costs $36 USD per book, so that is how much I will be selling them for plus shipping.

To be clear, this is still a zero profit venture! I’m doing this just for the fun of it, because I love bookish things and I think we could all use a bit of whimsy right now. In the unlikely event that we sell so many again that I get another bulk discount, the profits will go to a LGBTQ+ charity like last time. And of course the original fics are still available to read for free on AO3.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? 📍

This electronic music box is not technically a new piece, but a rework of an old one!

When I first made this in 2023 I had no laser machine, and had only just started doing more elaborate art pieces. The woodwork was rough, the details/designs were made of cardstock, and the internal electronics were a total mess. You couldn’t even play the music at the same time as the rotating dancers 😬 I’ve come a long way since then!

I remade the entire base from scratch, out of engraved wood this time, and redesigned all the electronics. I’ve also re-done the halos, changed the center rotating rod from acrylic to brass, and tidied up a lot of misc internal things, with the end result being a piece that is much sturdier, cleaner, and works much more smoothly. And WHY spend hours doing this, you ask?

Well, I had intended to gift this to a certain unnamed person back then, but for once in my life my ADHD time blindness came in clutch and I never got around to sending it out. I was embarrassed at the time, but what a relief now! So I’m happy to say that this cleaned up piece will be up for auction at The Ineffable Con in August to benefit Alzheimer’s research, in honor of Terry Pratchett.

Aziraphale and Crowley’s hand in some legends….

Hercules AU

The Pegasus was a team effort.

(The juxtaposition between wing colours and unicorn colour caused some necessary brainstorming, a bucket of dye and possibly getting bitten and kicked.)

Aziraphale in the middle of a complicated project and having comeacross Crowley in the same area.“So we need to make sure there are some eye witness accounts of a winged horse along with the myth of Hercules, so I can’t do it.” (Bats eyes at Crowley.)

Crowley- “No.”

“But your wings are so AMAZING, dear, and wouldn’t you like to give them a stretch…?”

C: “But you KNOW me and horses….”

A:“Ah, we might have a stroke of luck there.”

Later: Aziraphale  performing “Behold the Pegasus” trying to make sure it’s visible only on one side.

Person in crowd: “Lets see it fly then.” A: “Er…” Crowley and Unicorn trying to indicate absolutely in no way whatsoever that Aziraphale is to go off script. (Sottovoce “NONONONONO…”)

Aziraphale: “Excuse me- he does need a little ground to air speed.”

Bends his knees to the background of quiet but vehement sounds of protest then yeets the “Pegasus” upwards like he’s releasing an oversized dove.

“My dear, some days I thought I saw you. But maybe it was just the times that made me think of you.”

Because of their spat they probably didn’t see each other in the 20′s, but I can’t think of a time that would suit Crowley more.

20′s inspired- I wanted to get in some sort of beaded wing shawl and low waist dress. Don’t @ me on inaccuracies ^^ I’m just having a design play.

I also saw some decorated heels with leaves and flowers up the spike. (Originally white- I thought the colour play might have suited Crowley subconsciously channeling Aziraphale, though in this pic- she has one of his feathers.)

( i like to think one of aziraphale’s absent minded aspects is forgetting he has a much higher upper lifting limit than even Crowley never mind humans.)

Crowley’s been emergency handed a STACK of books (AZI RUNS TO WRESTLE THAT FIRST EDITION OFF A CUSTOMER) on more than one occasion which has nearly flattened him.

This handmade Good Omens/Terry Pratchett themed music box is now up for auction! It’s for a charity event raising money for trans rights in the UK and South Africa! Check out all the amazing items on offer!

It’s custom designed and handmade out of wood/sculpted parts. It features the Good Omens bench in St James park, with a nightingale and Sir Terry’s hat keeping watch. Press the button and it plays a music box rendition of a Nightingale Sang in Barkley Square, but can be programmed to play just about anything including the Good Omens theme. The music box recharges through a port in the back (cable included).
