Quick And Dirty Tips For Creating Subplots

– Not everyone should love the hero.

– The more antagonists you have the more conflicts you create.

– Real life should happen to the characters, even if they are saving the world they have jobs and responsibilities.

– Give the character interests and friends outside of work.

– Multiple point of views aren’t a bad thing if you know how to juggle them.

– It all needs to come together at the end.

– Not every antagonist needs to be vanquished at the end.

I hope I'm not bothering you, Loins, but I just would like to know your thoughts about A/B/O (Alpha, Beta, Omega) AUs?

So look I used to not read ABO, it just wasn’t my thing, I just couldn’t get into it BUT then I read a few really good ones and, like with most things, if it is well-written it can be great It’s all about characters for me, so if I can believe the characters and get into the characters, then it doesn’t matter what kind of au or trope it is (as long as it’s consensual and legal), I’m there for it. 

My only issue comes into play when people use ABO as a kind of crutch…. Like in PLACE of personalities, there are just…. ABO dynamics. You know what I mean? Like their personalities do not exist beyond those pre-determined traits. It just needs to be believable for me, like, obviously not the ABO bit of it, which is by its nature very unbelievable, but the characters themselves, like if a real person was put into that situation, how would they react? Now I read ABO no problem as long as it’s a great story. And there are some really great ones out there!
