NRM leaders threatens to overthrow Museveni, gives him ultimatum

Leaders of the Ruling NRM party across the country have given the party Chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni an ultimatum of three days to meet them or else they leave the party.

According the Kampala NRM Chairperson Godfrey Nyakana, the party chairman has deliberately refused to meet with party leaders to addresses grievances affecting the party which are threatening to divide the party.

The development comes after several members of the ruling party have threatened to join Bobi Wine Leople Power Movement due to unfulfilled presidential pledges.

“We need to address our internal grievances once and for for all because if president does not handled the current situation with care, he will end up like Mugabe,” an angry NRM supporter told this website on condition of anonymity.

The party leaders want the president to address several issues including the increasing number rebel NRM members of parliament, division within the party and the growing popularity of Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine among others.

Other leaders are also hungry at the way the president have been dishing out money to different groups in the recent weeks while neglecting those who served in the party for long time.

Shock as Kadaga sacks driver over witchcraft

The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has sacked her longtime driver over suspicion that he went to meet a witch ‘doctor’ without informing her.

According to sources at parliament, Kadaga was annoyed with a one Ngobi whom she accuses of indulging in witchcraft. It is remembered that two years ago, Kadaga went to a shrine in Iganga to meet her witch doctor and therefore, it isn’t surprising that her driver has been dealing in the same trade.

“We were surprised when Ngobi turned up for work in the morning but instead the guards to the Speaker chased him away informing him that he had no job as he had been fired” a source said.

Nevertheless, Ngobi wasn’t the only one sacked as many other people have been summarily sacked her. The following have been sacked by word of mouth from the so called “Kamuli Iron Lady” of sorts but what is interesting is all of them are her fellow Basoga tribe-mates.

A one Ruth, formerly her ADC, used to carry Kadaga’s bag and did the unthinkable of cleaning her wound as well when she fell sick. She was sacked because of the rumour that she was working with Mbabazi. Kadaga didn’t give the woman chance to defend herself.

Kadaga worked her sources within police and asked that she be transferred to Moroto. However, the woman was taken to Budaka district and later tranfered to Namave police post where she is suffering.

Eddy Basoga. This is a son of the late Basoga Nsadhu the former Minister of Information.

He had been seconded as a Personal Assistant to the Speaker but on contract. He was also sacked basing on rumours from a one Hellena Namutamba who masquerades as an Intelligence operative and the woman at the centre of giving her falsified intelligence reports to Kadaga.

Sophie, this is another personal assistant to the Speaker whom she personally recruited to her office.

She is a daughter to one of her longtime campaign managers in Kamuli. She was sacked due to the rumour that she was a spy for Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kutesa and First Lady. This is the girl she accused at one point. Kadaga came out openly confronting Mr. Kutesa and others for allegedly funding her opponents.

Longest serving ADC-Abbey to Kadaga was also sacked in similar way and she accused him of being a mole of State Minister for Lands, Persis Namuganza.

She wanted Abbey demoted and sent back to the barracks but senior security officers at parliament pleaded for him and she left him around parliament but not in her security detail.

His reason for sacking is that he answered a phone call while she was at a function. She suspected the phone call was from the First Lady and that they were spying on her.

Also sacked is the commandant of parliament police unit Ngobi was also dismissed.

However, the sacking of these people has angered a group of leaders from Busoga who accuse Kadaga of listening to nonstarters like Namutamba.

They assert that Namutamba who claims to be a presidential appointee on land matters is a fraud whom Kadaga seconded to State House without knowing her origins.

She is the woman forging reports for Kadaga claiming they are from Internal Security Organisation (ISO).

The leaders from Busoga have resolved to meet the president and table their side of the story as regards the sacking of their children.

Shocking details: BoU boss’ wife’s multibillion account details transactions leak

Leaked bank statement shows that, the huge amount of money was transacted by the wife of deputy governor bank of Uganda Edith Kasekende.

Billions of shillings have been transacted on the accounts of the wife of Louis Kasekende held at Standard Chartered Bank Speke Road in Kampala.

According to bank statement, Mrs. Edith Kasekende runs an Easy Go account at Stanchart Bank number 0100111660500, which she uses to transact hundreds of millions of shillings

The huge amounts of money raised eyebrows due to the fact that the Mrs Kasekende does not run any known business nor does she hold any serious job that may make her a billionaire within a short period of time.

For instance, the source at Standard Chartered Bank reveals that “She receives questionable deposits of Shs1.6Bn from BoU which she pays back, implying that she and other people, including her husband, use BoU for liquidation of their business and put the money back before it is detected.”

On one of her accounts, the statement shows that she received Shs1.7Bn from China Railway Seven CRSG Company and Shs394M from Arnold Masembe, which is suspected to be payment from BoU lawyers.

Her bank statement indicates that between 01-05-2017 and 17-05-2018 she received another Shs6447m from an unknown source and Shs421m from Bank of Uganda.

Over the same period, she deposited Shs415m and Shs383M respectively, and another Shs120m and Shs394m, although the source of this money remains unknown.

The sources went on to reveal that “There are large sums of cash deposits from unknown people, yet her property, as declared by the deputy governor BoU doesn’t match up to her bank transaction.”

The revelation comes at the time IGG is investigating the Deputy Governor of Bank of Uganda a long with other senior officials of the central bank over alleged frauds, corruption and abuse of office.

Kasekende and others are believed to have illicitly acquired multibillion properties in upscale Kampala areas, Wakiso among other strategically located areas.

IGG is interested in finding out their sources of wealth which they used to acquire prime assets in question including huge chunks of land in the city and very expensive posh cars.

14year boy who was sentenced to death by execution in electric chair

George Stinney Jr. of African descent was the youngest person to be sentenced to death in the 20th century in the United States.

He was only 14 years old when he was executed in an electric chair. During his trial, even on the day of his execution, he always carried a bible in his hands claiming to be innocent.

He was accused of killing two white girls, 11 years old Betty and Mary of 7. The bodies were found near the house where the teenager resided with his parents. At that time, all members of the jury were white. The trial only lasted fr 2hours and the sentence was dictated 10mins later. The boy’s parents were threatened and prevented from being present in the court room and subsequently expelled from that city.

Before the execution, George spent 81 days in prison without being able to see his parents. He was held in solitary, 80 miles from his city. He was heard alone without the presence of his parents or a lawyer.

He was electrocuted with 5,380 volts in his head, imagine all that voltage in a 70 years later, his innocence was finally proven by a judge in south Carolina. The boy was innocent, someone set it up to blame him for being black.

Battle lines drawn as Stella Nyanzi is set to battle Janet Museveni again

The Makerere University Appointment Board has once again summoned Dr Stella Nyanzi for insulting the minister of Education and the first lady Hon Janet Kataha Museveni.

In a summon sent to Dr Nyanzi on October 18, the research fellow is accused of using vulgar language and abusing Mrs Museveni using her official Facebook page. The board accuses Dr Nyanzi of referring to the first lady as a “lazy pig, big-thighed cow, poisonous snake, empty-brained leopardess and certified fool”.

“She is seriously more foolish than I envisaged. Somebody lend Janet a few brain cells please, please, please,” the board quotes Nyanzi as writing on her Facebook timeline in March 2017.

She is also accused of tarnishing the name of Makerere University by Intentionally insulting the education minister, under whose docket the University falls.

In response to the latest summons Dr Nyanzi said she has spoken the truth and stand by what she said adding that she is not scared to defend the truth.

“When did I ever deny speaking the truth about a fool? The truth liberates! I will defend the truths that I speak,” Nyanzi said.

On the charge of tarnishing Makerere University’s image, Nyanzi said that the appointments board was obsessed with “illusions of grandeur about the image of this house of vast oppressions, repressions and suppressions”.

She added; “Isn’t it the deepest insult to any scholar who has ever been at Makerere University that Janet Museveni was appointed based on pure nepotism to become Minister of Education and Sports in Uganda?”

She also questioned the qualifications of Janet Museveni for the docket she is holding adding that she got it because her husband is the appointing authority.

“Every day that she masquerades around as Minister of Education and Sports tarnishes the image of all institutions of education in our country because Janet Museveni only slept her way into that ministry,”Nyanzi asserted.

On tarnishing the name of University, this is what Nyanzi had to say; “Makerere University tarnishes her own image through defending the folly of this nepotism, exchange of sex for a position, and imposition of a failure upon the education sector.”

Trump sends strong warning to M7 as 6 gov’t officials punished by US over Bobi Wine torture

The spokesperson of the United States Embassy in Kampala Mr. Phil Dimon has confirmed that at least six senior security personnel and government officials have been issued travel ban to Trump land.

The ban means that they are not allowed to enter the US and issued to the officials following the incident that marred Arua municipality by-election.

Mr Dimon says the ban illustrates US government commitments to promotion of human rights warning of further consequences if security forces do not stop human rights abuses and violations against unarmed civilians.

According to State-owned New Vision, the 6 officers include policemen and soldiers from UPDF. They were meant to attend a leadership capacity building training at the FBI National Academy at Quantico Virginia.

They were earlier invited but following their involvement in Arua town fracas which resulted in the torture of Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine, their participation has been blocked and travel ban imposed.

The six officials received a letter informing them of travel ban and were signed by Besty Bartko, the US Legal attache based in Nairobi. There explanation that they acted on order from above was rejected by the USA.

Bartko warned that acts of torture attract personal consequences its now upon the individuals responsible to feel the heat and be held responsible.

He added they will only be permitted in the US once the ban is lifted upon review. But the torture acts similar to that of DP activist Yusuf Kawooya outside Christ the King Church yesterday that went viral throughout the night might make things only more complicated for Ugandan officials.

The Kawooya video has already attracted massive condemnation and outrage. The new vision newspaper confirms that the affected officials were linked or participated in the Arua skirmishes that left some victims with severe forms of disability.

Police in happy mood as international serial criminals are finally netted

Uganda Police Force has netted 27 suspects in an operation code named usalama that is done in conjunction with countries in the region.

The operation that was carried out between 27th September to 2nd October 2018 saw countries that fall under the umbrella of the Eastern African Police Chiefs Organization [EAPCCO] And Southern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization [SARPCCO] conducting it at the same time.

“This operation targeted transnational border crimes which include, theft of motto-vehicles, human trafficking , wild life and environmental crimes , stolen documents , vandalism , narcotic drugs , , illicit trade of small and light weapons and terrorism” Director INTERPOL and International Relations, Dr.Fred Yiga said these in a press conference today at INTERPOL offices in Kampala.

Ghetto youth threatens to cane Bobi Wine if he cowardice and abandon the struggle

As several Ugandans are busy looking at how they can afford three meals in a day, majority of Ghetto youth are yearning to see their president on the ballot paper at whatever cost.

To many, 2021 is still far but this is not the case with those who want to strategise early for eventual fall of president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who ruled the country for the last 3 decades.

We all know that Former Forum for Democratic Change president General Mugisha Muntu is still hustling to recruit 20,000 members according to her new formation General Secretary Alice Alaso but this is not the case for Ghetto president.

Yes the Kyadondo East lawmaker might not be interested in the race or kinda afraid of facing off with the bush war veterans but this doesn’t stop people believing in him from telling him to join the battle (Songa Mbele). Surprisingly one of Bobi Wine’s fan has openly vowed to beat him like a lizard if he dare depicts cowardice when the time comes to compete with fellow men for the top seat in the country.

A fan who goes by the names of Hasmart Shana Reko in one of the Facebook comment on Bobi Wine page urged the Kyadondo East member of parliament to go for it or face it.

Bobi Wine on several occasions has clearly stated that he is not looking forward to being president of Uganda but rather having and living in a free Uganda.

Well whatever the case, it is wait to be seen how things will be in 2021 which is two years from now.
