FINISHED TRANSFER'S DESIGNNN

Too lazy to retype most of the stuff from Transform's design, so I've linked it here

Fjsgsjs some things about Transfer:

• They're also genderfluid just like Transform

• When assuming a more physical form, they take on the shape of various organisms meshed together. Never one "pure" form but always in a state of in-between similar to the realm she resides in. It just so happens that this design is a more neat blend of humanoid and peacock mantis shrimp.

• Much like Transform's love for giving things new shape, Transfer can and will shift energies around. However, he cannot give it new shape, only move energy around, hence why Transform and Transfer require each other's ability to properly shift anything into a new realm.

• The design was actually hugely based on a scrapped Pressure OC of mine that never got out of the sketch phase because the shapes were a little too out of my art skillset at the time (like September of 2024) anyways, yay for art progress!

• Dawg those nebulas took FOREVER to draw holy shit. They're easy enough granted you got a reference + color palette but oughhh drawing that many for each segment is time consuming. I think this piece took 10 hours and 40ish minutes to draw

• I hope you can sense the exhaustion emanating from this post. Never ask me to draw 7 nebulas in one art thingy again (I say, fully aware I did this to myself)

Heyyyy it's been a while since I've posted here (schoolwork sorry)

Anyways!! Transfer's design is almost done I think!

Anywho, heres a small concept drabble of how Ink could've met with 2/3 of the thieves den trio :3

Intro post

“I'll have a brown sugar milk tea!” 

The little inphernal grabbed the edge of the counter with both hands, practically standing on tippy toes to see over it.

Vinestaff meanwhile was almost in a state of shock. It's not everyday a newspawn shows up at the cafe and orders all by themselves.

Though, more odd than the occurrence itself was the spawnling's characteristics. Rainbow horns and oddly shaped, bright heterochromatic pupils that felt almost animated.

Vinestaff shook her head. It's rude to point out another inphernal's differences. “Er– that'll be seven bux.” She spoke, trying to give the little one the benefit of doubt. It's not easy being a newspawn. Most don't even make it past their first two years in the Inpherno. The fact this one managed to make this far is a miracle.

After a few seconds of scrounging through various pockets, the little one dropped a few coins on the counter.

Vinestaff blanched. That wasn't bux…

Ink dropped the gold on the counter. This AU was weeeeeeird. All the monsters looked relatively the same species.

He was certain he'd counted put seven of the shiny coins before plopping them on the counter. Maybe he put too little.

“Oh, my bad!”

Much to Vinestaff's continued bewilderment, he added two more gold to the small pile on the counter, hoping that'd cover what he miscounted.

Slingshot had just finished baking the last batch of pastries. Steadily placing them on the cooling rack, he was about to tackle the dirty dishes until he saw Vine slink into the kitchen, leaving the spawnling alone at the counter.

The pink-horned inphernal was clutching a few shiny coins in her claws as she practically dashed to him.

“Wha–”

“Sling! There's a spawnling at the counter who paid in LITERAL gold!” She whispered at him as loud as she could.

“Gold?” 

Slingshot picked up one of the coins. The dense metal weighed on his hand.

Slingshot had heard that actual gold was pretty pliable.

Hesitantly, he bit the corner of the shiny coin to test that theory; half expecting Vinestaff to scold him for it– but she also was waiting for his evaluation.

Not much force was needed to leave a small indent.

Slingshot looked at Vinestaff.

Vinestaff looked at Slingshot.

Ink stared up at the two of them.

“...”

Little known fact, Slingshot actually has a higher scream than Vinestaff.

AHAHAH I'M BACK WITH RELEVANT INPHERNAL!INK LORE (writing this at 12:34 AM I'm so tired)

Anyways, for this AU's eldritch creature(s) of a higher plane, I present Transform!

Lemme break down their role + design stuffs for ya

Lore Significance:

• Transform (or Transformation if you prefer) is an eldritch being that resides on a higher plane of existence. They're a physical embodiment of energy transformations (think chemistry).

• After Ink punched a hole in the omniverse (referring to this post; specifically the 2nd paragraph), he basically got sucked out of the entire UTMV as a whole and landed in the space between worlds where he's discovered by Transform & Transfer (soon to be designed!)

• Basically, the two entities are the ones that reshaped Ink into his inphernal form and released him into the wild for reasons I have yet to come up with since I feel the two are purely neutral entities (don't harbor any malice or need for entertainment) being based off that one thermodynamics law

Design Inspirations:

• The concept for Transform (and Transfer) is inspired by [REDACTED] and [EXPUNGED] from @/vauschen-art's I Can't Phucking Aim

• As for actual visual design, the inspirations I drew from were This Specific Picture Of A Nebula, Tabuu (Smash Bros Brawl), 1x1x1x1 (Forsaken's version), and Biblically accurate angels :3

Fun Facts:

• Transform is Genderfluid

• She can take any shape. It's just that he likes the celestial look– makes em feel important. Between them and Transfer, they're the more outspoken (and flashy) one, often choosing bright, extravagant, and more solid forms ublike Transform who'd probably appear in either their true form (nebula) or more of an abstract one

• Transform likes to...reshape things when given the chance. It's part of their nature. Y’know how artists see a piece of paper and IMMEDIATELY statt doodling on it? Yeah, that's basically Transform with anything she can get his hands on. Good thing not too many living beings pass through the in-between.

Initially, I was considering dropping Ink into Thieves Den for his introduction to the inpherno, but after the Vinestaff Q&A, it'd probably be better to throw Ink into Crossroads

Pre-Isekai Things (pt. 1)

Multiversal Role: Protector of AUs + In Balance w/ Error

In this interpretation of Ink, he’s the protector of all the alternate universes and is tied to Error as two sides of the same coin. If one is present, the other must also be there. Ink oversees the creation of alternate universes for observatory reasons as well as making sure that if any severe glitches occur during the creation process, he can fix them. Think of him as a gardener of sorts, tending to the plants making sure they grow properly. If Ink focuses on growth, Error focuses on pruning. Sometimes, AUs crumble away, glitch out beyond repair, or fade into obscurity— this is where Error comes in. The multiverse has a limited amount of space, and more often than not, you get a lot of duplicate universes that could’ve just been timelines— which requires meticulous work from both parties to carefully transplant into a like universe as a timeline. Half of their work essentially comes from optimizing the multiversal code. Ideally, at least. Seeing as there’s only two of them and a constantly shifting multiverse, as well as more than enough idiosyncrasies attributed to each individual, safe to say this system is a lot more chaotic + inefficient in practice rather than theory. 

Events leading up to Ink getting isekai’d:

Ink often has bright, vibrant dreams of other worlds. I mean, as a protector of the multiverse, it makes sense that he’d see visions of the AUs he tries to protect so dearly, right? Well, not really; He also sees visions of AUs that aren’t in the multiverse or even multiversal events that have never occurred. Sometimes, he even sees different versions of himself in different roles. Endless universes, endless timelines, he sees all if only for a brief moment. It was almost like there were alternate universes for the multiverse… an omniverse. Nine times out of ten, most of Ink’s ‘revolutionary’ (look— it depends on who you’re asking) ideas are forgotten or tossed aside in favor of a more impulsive one. But the idea of an omniverse? The possibilities are endless, which is precisely why Ink has to find them. To keep this paragraph short, let’s just say that Ink did in fact successfully speedrun his way to the edge of the multiverse and punched a hole in the wall only to realize that he broke through the barrier of the omniverse, not a multiversal barrier and ends up getting flung very far from home.

Alrighty, here's Inphernal!Ink's design :D

NOTE: Any part of this design or written characteristics provided below may be subject to change over time as the AU takes shape!

All the notes about his inphernal design are below the cut!

(Honestly, it's less of a design and more of a translation from one species to another lmao)

Height: 4’5

Bodily Characteristics:

Canon Ink’s height is 3 '8 however in this AU, we’ll bump him up to 4' 5 because with how tall inphernals are, it’d be mean to have him continue to be stepstool sized. Another reason for 4’ 5 being a good height is that’s roughly the average height of a ten year old; the bodily and mental age at which newly spawned inphernals appear. Basically, what this means is that throughout the AU, people’s first impression of Ink in the inpherno is gonna be something like, “Oh. That’s a child” which opens the doors to explore the cultural concept of how children are treated in the inpherno.

Eyes: Black+ dynamic pupils

Since Ink is no longer a skeleton monster and now has an inphernal form, many of his skeleton characteristics have been transformed. His former eyelights are now replaced with normal eyes, however seeing as the eyes are the window to the soul (even if he may or may not have one) keeping the pupils dynamic and changing as per his emotions makes it so he retains some of the key components of his original design as well as making him uncanny by inphernal standards to everyone he meets in this new world.

Horn color: Rainbow (pastel)

Ink’s horn color is rainbow because why not. The horn shape themselves is vaguely supposed to look like a paintbrush from the front/back. The coloring of the horns offers a significant function. Despite being an Inphernal now, Ink still doesn’t have a soul and requires his vials to supplement his emotions. When he hasn’t drunk from his vials in a long time, not only will his dynamic pupils revert to thin white slits, but his horns will shift to grayscale. Another side effect of this is that his body temperature will physically become colder until he has replenished his system with the ink vials.

Skin color: Inphernal White

When thinking about how he’d look like as an Inphernal, not a lot changed, lol. Though, one change that did occur with Ink was his physical makeup. Anyone familiar with Ink's lore knows he doesn't have a SOUL. With monsters being made of magic– before getting isekai'd, Ink couldn't feel physical pain. However, now, despite his soulless status, Ink's been turned into an inphernal which means his body is more physical in terms of matter which means (I'm sorry I'll get to the point now LMAO) Ink can feel pain. He can get hurt, get injured, and won't be able to bounce back so easily (without help at least–) Do with that information as you will :) Lets turn a god guardian into a mortal

Hiiii! Welcome to my dedicated corner for screaming about my inphernal!ink concept :P

To begin, Inphernal!Ink is a mesh of two of my favorite fandoms (Undertale and Phighting!) Basically, he's a version of Ink!Sans that got accidentally isekai’d into the world of the Inpherno after he got a little too curious about the nature of the multiverse.

Oh I should probably note that anything and everything lore-wise will probably be reworked as time goes on and I get a better better idea of everything!
