Wolfe hadn't ridden in many cars in his lifetime—and as he staggered out of George's with knees like jelly, he decided he never wanted to get in another one. No amount of teeth grinding had helped. He had snapped at George to slow down, and though he had mercifully done so, moments later the car had accelerated once more, hurtling down the narrow country roads like there was a bomber on their tail.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't have to hate the things you create. It's okay to feel good about your art! Give yourself permission to love your own work, and develop your skill as a creator out of love instead of out of dissatisfaction.

1. Honestly, a little bit of both. I do a general outline of the main plot, as well as any worldbuilding needed. And once I start writing, I let the pacing flow naturally and the characters flesh themselves out 2. Current WIP - "The Court Magician": Forest man on house arrest must save the world from the fae 3. 1. I'm definitely a planner! I enjoy a bit of chaos, but need structure for most things, and that includes writing. An example of my most extreme planner moment: I was writing up fake advertisements for my in world D&D newspaper, had to give the businesses addresses... So I stopped halfway through and had to plan out most of a market district map, which will probably never be used again 2. Aura Sighted: Gifted-kid burnout syndrome mage has to figure out how to save her sister from a psychotic King, while staying out of the way of the Prince with daddy issues. 3. Keywords: (I'll come back to this one) 4. Genres: Fantasy, Action/Adventure, Eventual Romance 5. Favorite Tropes: Found Family, Eventual Idiots to Lovers, with a hint of Enemies to Lovers Bonus: My Camp goal this year is just to get some writing done; shooting for 15k words!

1. Planning: Generally it depends. I don’t outline Fic usually, or random ideas that just jump out, but I do like having vague-to-solid roadmap on other ideas 2. WIP that i think I’m gonna try to do: A pirate loses his ship and crew to his creditors and makes a drastic attempt to pay them off by promising to produce a rare magical artifact—a weather violin that specifically calls moody weather when played—and he isn’t prepared for his quest to dump him on a small island, inhabited by one other person; the violinist who found his treasure first. 3. Key Words: Broody Boi, Dislike to Love (think animated Anastasia/Dimitri), reformed pickpocket, identity, violin + The sound of rain on a tin roof while a sad viloin plays, deserted island, survival, persons of debatable charm, BLORBOS 4. Genre is uhhhh.... Pirate Captain on a deserted island with a Moody Violinist ..... idk if it will be humor or romance or survival but it’s def Fantasy with Magic and whatnot 5. Tropes: Pirate on Deserted Island, Survival, is Learning to Communicate Effectively a trope? And uhhhh I’m not sure how the Only One Bed will turn out that’s the one I pulled out of a hat (what quantifies Idiots to Lovers bc they might be that too)

1. former pantser, trying to plan now. don't think my previous method was working for me, so I'll see how this goes! 2. sentence: an average human is suddenly gifted 'divine' knowledge, transporting them from one dismal situation to another. 3. will need to figure these key words out, i think. 'wasps, red, gods, superstition, summer'. 4. not too sure, but got some fantasy in there... 5. rivals and rivals and more rivals. also deceit.

1. I think I lean more towards a pantser. Ideas come to me as I write that I would never have thought of in the planning stages of my wip. But I'm doing my best to find a way to give myself more structure. 2. Filipina in San Francisco meets cyborg private investigator, and they solve some murders. 3. Keywords: tomboy, trauma, sapphic, straight people being friends, siblings-centered 4. Sci-fi and mystery? ( i know there are technical differences between mystery and thriller, but i dont want to try and think about it.) 5. my favorite dynamic? Close sisters who can depend on one another

I've been obsessed procrastinating having fun with writing out Henry and Mack's first meetings and early friendship lately. Needless to say I'm enjoying myself :D

'What's your name?' Henry asked, wondering if the boy might let him ask any one of his mounting questions. 'Mack,' the boy said. 'Farrow.' He fidgeted, glancing down at the chicken in his hands, and Henry had the distinct impression that he was glad of it. 'Henry Wolfe,' Henry returned. 'Though, I expect you knew that.' Most people he met already knew him—or if they didn't recognise his face, they all knew his name. He'd gotten used to it. Mack eyed him suspiciously. 'Your Da owns this place?' 'That's right.' Henry puffed out his chest. 'It's been in my family for three generations.' Mack wrinkled his nose. 'You're as bad as the rest of 'em.' He turned and began to walk away. Dismay threw Henry forwards, and he grabbed Mack's arm. Mack rounded on him at once, and dropping the chicken he threw a swift punch right at Henry's nose.

So I'm back from the dead to scream about my book again. 😅

Keep Me Breathing is nearing it's publication date and I' thought I'd post about it everywhere now.'m growing more and more excited. I have decided to send out Advance Reader Copy's of the book. And so a google form has been opened.

Reopening old wounds was not on the list. Neither was letting secrets be known or catching feelings of the wrong kind.

On the outside Fubuki Snow is alone and her personality is less than friendly. She barely leaves her house and her only friend is considered family.

But she has everything she needs. Hobbies, work and a family she loves dearly. She doesn’t need romance, adventure or shallow relationships. No matter how much her best friend pesters her about it.

Sakura Petal might be considered the opposite of her best friend. She’s outgoing, adventurous and spreads happiness wherever she goes. She has everything.

Unless you ask her. Then she’s the reason her best friend is alone and she’s a horrible mother.

When Sakura's son disappears, the girls must not only venture into the cave system to find him. They also have to face their own insecurities and past mistakes.

Today I bring something beautiful for you all to gaze upon: the cover for my next novel, Desecrate!!

Summary

What would you do if everything you knew about your faith was flipped on its head?

That's what Kit has been trying to find out. After dropping out of Seminary and giving up on his life's dream of being a priest, he has to piece together the shattered remains of his faith.

But what if those pieces fit together in ways they never have before? What if they reveal a secret that the church has been hiding for millennia? What will he do then?

Adonai's been held in captivity for longer than They can recall. They don't remember what the sun feels like on Their skin, what the wind feels like in Their hair. It's a shame, one of Their only regrets was not fighting back that day.

Their time will come. The Messiah walks among the living once again, and They know that he will free them. Until that day, They will remain patient.

Everyone should go and read this! I finished it yesterday and have still not recovered!! It’s amazing! And I will most likely re read it like 10times before the year is over 😅

Thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement along the way. I'm still working on the sequel, but this is a huge achievement for me so I'm taking a moment to be proud of just how far this book has come. It is my first finished original novel, and at 83,000 words (ish) and 38 chapters, it's also the longest story I've ever written. Considering I once was completely certain it wouldn't entertain me past the week, I'd say it's done pretty well!

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have! <3

George's scenes are very much still being figured out, so I'm not entirely happy with how his character is portrayed yet. This has definitely opened my eyes to how little of his anxiety he lets slip in dialogue :'D

There's a sentiment I've seen out in the wild a few times that women can't/won't let themselves get invested in female characters because they're subconsciously comparing themselves to them (and finding themselves lacking) and I have to wonder how common this is because it's a concept that would never have crossed my mind before now.

I'm aware that self-insertion is a phenomenon that occurs but I always thought it was relegated to the niche spaces of y/n reader fics, YA, and romance, not that women would be approaching media at large and trying to project themselves onto the female lead in general. I have to admit it's something I have trouble getting my head around and I can't quite understand the logic.

IT'S HERE!!! I can finally show you the cover for my debut novel.

I love it so much!! And a HUGE shout out to L00llaby for drawing the beautiful illustration for the cover.

I mean, I've had my hands on this illustration for a while now. It's even my phone wallpaper AND lock screen. And I still get all excited when I see it.

Fubuki Snow has everything. Her motorcycle, books, a job she likes and her family. Why would she ever need to leave her home? Besides, everything she needs to know about the world outside, she can learn from her best friend. Sakura Petal is nothing like her friend. She has always loved adventure and romance. Even if she only manages to get one of them, it doesn’t stop her from trying. When her son goes missing, the two friends set out into the cave system to identify the only clue they have. Even with Sakura’s knowledge and their newfound friends, the search for the boy only seems to create more questions than answers. Will Fubuki be able to get him home, before it’s to late? And who will still stand beside her when she does?

That's interesting and I wouldn't be surprised by it being true for people.

I, myself, I started to realize, a while ago, that many of the female characters that I find annoying isn't necessary because they are badly written/portrayed(some are), but rather because they have qualities that I hate in myself.
