Wow! Ford in a cape! Interesting! :)
#reminds me of his portal outfit- I wonder if that’s potentially an early portal outfit design?#I’ve seen a person say it would’ve been great symbolism if he kept the cloak and ditched it by the end of the series#but personally I’m a bit glad and can see why the ultimately had him change out of his portal gear and lose the hooded cape#the cloak does a good job of emphasizing that he’s mysterious and he’s visually out of place among the cast#however I’d say perhaps a bit too much so and I’m glad they ultimately had him in his sweater and coat#still retaining some of that somewhat closed off and clearly adventurer flair#but a bit more approachable and not completely seperate from the family#especially given we get the episode of him bonding with Dipper and then another one that cracks open his past with Bill#so a lot of the mystery around him is already pulled away pretty significantly#but long analysis short I do wish disney would let Hirsch and team make and release that art book-#I would LOVE to read their decisions on character designs and why they chose to go in certain directions or inspirations#gravity falls#stanford pines#dipper pines#mabel pines#storyboard#disney
