Tartaglia sometimes wondered what made him fall for her. Despite growing up in the perpetual winter storms of Snezhnaya, her heart had never frozen over. Her gentleness and warmth never faded, and even after he joined the Fatui, her attitude towards him did not change. She is his sunshine who will always lead him back home, no matter how many times he finds himself lost. She is also one of the reasons why he desires to get stronger - because he wants to protect her. Although he knew she's capable of defending herself since she was blessed with a Dendro Vision, he thought that she's too naive for her own good; her lack of caution never ceases to worry him.

So imagine his surprise when he came across her in Dragonspine during one of his trips with Aether. She was absent-mindedly picking the blue plants that grew in the icy region whilst humming her favourite tune, seemingly unaffected by the subzero climate.

"______?!" he exclaimed, catching her attention. Aether also paused to look at the harbinger with an arched eyebrow upon hearing the unfamiliar name; however, when he saw Tartaglia's attention on the (h/c)-haired girl sitting on the snow not too far away from where they're standing, he connected the dots and told him that he'll be forging ahead with the rest of the team.

"Hm?" ______ raised her gaze, (e/c) meeting blue. The moment she recognised her boyfriend, her face lit up and she quickly stood to run towards him. Tartaglia swiftly caught her when she threw herself at him, her arms wrapping around his neck as she nuzzled his cheek affectionately. As soon as her warmth embraced his body, he felt as if it was just the two of them in this world. No Tsaritsa, no Fatui - just ______ and Ajax. He hugged her tightly, missing the feeling of their bodies pressed together.

She let out an airy laugh. "You're not doing a good job at hiding it, you know."

"I have no reason to hide my feelings for you," he murmured, retracting himself to peck her lips before frowning slightly, "But what are you doing here? I thought your sister wouldn't let you leave Snezhnaya to look for me." Tartaglia knew how protective ______'s older sister is of her; it showed when she was initially against ______ dating him, a Fatui Harbinger. She believed that he would only bring danger into her life, which isn't exactly far from truth. However, it's not as if he wouldn't fight until his last drop of blood to keep his lover safe, and it wasn't until recently that she accepted the fact nothing could separate them.

"I spent all that effort to convince my sister to let me visit you, and that's the first thing you say to me?" ______ asked, pouting.

"This isn't Liyue."

"... I know."

Tartaglia laughed loudly. "You haven't changed at all, ______. You still suck at directions."

"Oh, shut up." She playfully slapped his arm, letting out a low puff of air. "At least I found some interesting plants to study!"

"Yeah, yeah, you can happily admire them once we're out of here," he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder to lead her out of Dragonspine, "Aren't you cold?"

Resting her head on his shoulder, ______ replied, "It's colder back at home - and now that you're here, it doesn't really bother me."

The ginger-haired male then flicked her forehead, eliciting a whine from her. "Don't come crying to me if you catch a cold."

"Come on, Ajax. You worry too much." Pulling away from his side, the (h/c)-haired female twirled in the snow with her arms spread out. "While we're here, let's play for a bit!"

He let out a muted sigh as he shook his head. "______-" Before he could formulate a full sentence, a snowball smacked him dead centre on the forehead. Time seemed to stop as ______ froze in position, her face paling considerably when Tartaglia didn't react for a few seconds. Swallowing thickly, she backed up a couple of steps. He then chuckled, flashing her a closed-eye smile as the snow slid down his face.

"I accept your challenge, girlie!" he exclaimed, deftly rolling a snowball between his hands. She shrieked and tried to escape his range, only to be chased down relentlessly by the harbinger. Coating the snowball with a layer of hydro, he then swung his arm, throwing it at her back. Shocked by the sudden coldness seeping through her clothes, she was knocked down with a single hit, and he swiftly caught up to her before pinning her body on the snow. He straddled her waist with his arms caging her head in. A smirk crawled over his lips as he lowered his eyelids halfway. "Got you~"

She sighed in defeat. "You're too fast for me."

"Got no time to waste if my girl ever finds herself in trouble." He winked. "Luckily, you got yourself caught big time by me."

For a moment, ______ thought she saw a certain spark in his dull blue hues. Although they never regarded her with hostility, she missed the friendly shine that would gloss over his eyes when they were younger. She supported his choice in joining the Fatui, but sometimes, she felt as if him drowning himself in bloody battles was gradually creating a distance between Ajax and Childe... and she feared that one day, Ajax would disappear for good. Lifting a hand from her side, she tenderly cupped his cheek, prompting him to nuzzle her palm.

"You're so handsome, Ajax," she suddenly said, making him blink in surprise.

"Now where did that come from?" he asked, unable to stop the red tint from spreading across his cheeks. Tartaglia was aware of his good looks and is used to receiving compliments, but compliments from his lover is a great honour to him.

Raising her other hand, ______ wordlessly manipulated the blue plants nearby to create a chaplet around his head. A smile tugged the corners of her lips upwards.

"A lovely crown for my king," she uttered, hands shifting to gently hold his face, "Whatever happens to you, I'll always be loyal." She then pulled herself up and pressed her lips against his. He immediately reacted by reciprocating her kiss, hands moving to firmly grip her waist as he sat back, settling her on his lap. 

When they broke away for air, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, smiling confidently as he said, "And once I've conquered the world, I will make you my queen."

Lucifer - I want to see him in something fitted still, but like in more of a business casual kinda feel?
