Hello hello! After a super long hiatus, I return with a song that has been haunting me for almost a year until the movie finally released: Uta Yo.

Kaho Nakamura (the VA and singer for the character “Belle” in the movie) has such a unique voice! She really sings with her heart, and I feel it very strongly.

I hope I was able to convey a similar feeling too. Enjoy! :)

This is my very first uploaded/published cover of...anything, really. It literally came out of the blue. There were several ideas/songs that I wanted to try, but in the end, 1000 Words stole that "first ever cover" spot in my history. Anyway, this is a piano + vocal cover (as stated in the title. :P). Both the vocals and piano, and the arrangement of the piece were all done by me. Do pardon quality of the audio, I used my phone to record while I played and sang at the same time. And also, pardon my mistakes in lyrics and perhaps certain parts of the melody. It's difficult to sing and read lyrics at the same time. :P Oh, and the weird-messy editing. That's also me. Sorry about that. ^_^; Anyway, I hope you enjoy this cover. :) Constructive criticisms and feedbacks are very much appreciated as I know I still need to improve on MANY things.

There was once a time I was taking a walk in a park. I came across this man and saw him sit on the bench, looking very down.

So I took a seat next to him and I asked him, “What’s up?”

He looked up at me with his sad eyes, and smiled a little when he said, “Difficult times ahead, my dear,”

"Why do you say that?"

The man was looking at a family playing by the little pond at the park and said, “I have a feeling that people would stop believing in me after a while, no matter how much I try,”

I felt sad, realising that his words were true, no matter how high or low one’s position was.

This was a dream I had a few days after Barack Obama won the US Elections. I look at what happened before and what’s going on now, and now I realised why he said those words to me.

I dreamt that we were lovers, you and I.

But I was accompanying you to your wedding…

..with another person.

So yes, after you’ve said your vows and everything, you took your bride up to your room

I followed silently from behind and stayed in the room next to yours.

Texted you and said that the door is unlock, and you can come in anytime.

You never did though.

…shit just got weird after that.

I jumped out of the window, and find myself facing a very long misty path, away from the hotel.

I walked into it…and as the mist cleared, I found myself in a jungle.

The ground was filled with all sorts of poisonous animals; poison dart frogs, scorpions of all sorts of colours, snakes..

I carefully avoided them all and kept on walking down that path.

…until I reached the sea.

I was at a beach, not the beautiful sandy ones.

Rather, the sand was gravel.

And everything around me was grey and bleak.

Somewhere near the shore, I came across a face that was frozen in ice.

And I saw that it was my face.

And when I turned back, I realised that the world has ended.

And I woke up.

A little unsure if I should count that as unfortunate.
