I love all handmade stuff, but before I started knitting, I always wondered why folks poured so much time and energy into making stuff that looks exacly like what youd buy at a store.
It very quickly hit me: store- bought stuff SUCKS. Handmade stuff RULES.
The kinds of stitches used, the thickness/ quality of yarn, even the dimensions of the item itself are just so shitty and cheap on mass- produced clothing. Once you know what youre looking at, you can see that its made to be worn and disposed of within a year. But that handmade brown sweater? That sucker weighs 3x what a store bought sweater weighs. Its softer, it has better stretch and even with messier seams, its STRONGER. It can survive a trathalon, a hop over a barbed- wire fence, and a minor nuclear explosion.
So hats off to all of the more stubtle fiberworks artists out there, your bulletproof crafts are magnificent.

Okay I'm sure this gets said like 10000 times a day but I just like. love how creative shifters are. Like, y'all spend HOURS coming up with DRs and backstories and lore and drama and scenarios and drawings and edits and writings and affirmations and subliminals. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will write thousands of words about a place they've never been to but know like the back of their hand. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will learn totally new skills just to bring their vision of their home to life. Shifters are some of the only people I know who get this passionate and creative and dedicated when it comes to their dreams. It's uh kinda inspiring?? And beautiful?? And I hope you realize how cool you are?? And I love you??

Viking Gritstone Plaque, The Yorkshire Museum, York
Many of York's Viking residents converted from paganism to Christianity. Some even became benefactors of their new faith.
This plaque names two people who paid for the construction of a church; an expensive feat. Their Scandinavian names - Grim and Aese - are clearly visible.

Strong Belly Power | In a bustling college gym, a proud man showcases the power of dedication. With a strikingly large belly, he defies the norms of fitness while pushing himself alongside his teammates. Clad in a snug T-shirt, he embodies resilience, proving that strength comes in many forms. Each lift, each rep, tells a story of determination and transformation. His journey isn’t just about fitness; it’s about breaking stereotypes. As he grunts through the final sets, the emphasis is on progress—not perfection. Here, in this lively atmosphere, he demonstrates that true power knows no boundaries. Fitness is a journey, and he's carving his own path with every drop of sweat. More images are also available at https://mpregstuff.com.
