Just Some Ghost Guy [4 / 3 / 2022]

finally got my first drawing tablet and hooboy, is drawing a breeze! before, I was using the trackpad on my laptop but now? got me a fancy gizmo and I ain't never going back!

seriously, I'm fucking thrilled here because now I don't have to spend hours trying to draw with a janky track pad. like this drawing would've taken at least several hours, if not a couple days, but I busted this thing out in about two! TWO! holy moly, it's amazing what one can do when given the proper tools.

I fell in love with Wolverine back in my teens when a "friend" :/ introduced me to the X-Men cartoons/comics/films.

Before then, the only superheros I semi-cared/knew about was Spiderman (Toby McGuire), Superman (the tv show Smallville), and Batman (the Dark Knight series). Other than that, nope, didn't care.

Wolverine: comic book style [8/2014]

this was the first time I've ever drawn in this comic book style and the only reason I did was because I was curious to see if I could. I can. but I don't think I'd like to constantly draw this way. this was kind of a pain - it took a few hours to lay down the linework, and a few more to mark up the lines a bit more (I know, doesn't look complicated, but it is).

I don't think I'm ever going to draw anything in this style again despite how good it looks afterwards - it's just too time consuming and getting the linework right is a pain in the ass.

I don't think this version with the full head came out quite as well as the one above but I'm still posting it to see the difference.

this post is just a mishmash of random doodles that I outlined in pen. a lot of these doodles were actually made before 2013 but I redrew them in 2019, and I no longer have the originals (some got damaged and others just went missing).

Butterfly Ear Dude and AfroGuy were originally pen doodles I made in class on notebook paper but I unfortunately lost them due to wear and tear (they might have maybe gone through the washer...oops). I was able to find an old photo I took of them (which I've since lost because I can't find the usb).

I don't know if you can tell, but the inspiration for AfroGuy accidentally came from Him from the Powerpuff Girls - I don't know how but it happened, PPG wasn't even on my radar at the time (loved it as a kid but grew out of it).

Voodoo Dolls [~2015]

...I don't know what to say. these guys just happened one day when I was doodling. I don't know where the idea for them came from or why I had it, but it lead to the creation of these sad little dudes.

I love them though, especially the little guy in the bottom right corner - he just looks like a sad chunk boi.

Eyes [~2008]

I doodled most these back in middle school when I went through an anatomy phase (mostly drawing eyes). the unfinished one is actually a redesign of a sugar skull eye I had made at one time.

the leaf eye one was actually made sometime before 2019 when I was going through an adult coloring book phase. it was going to be a part of a wolf concept drawing where the wolf is made up of smaller designs (hope that sentence makes sense).

these were made back after I first watched Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. I saw others making spidersonas and wanted to make a couple of them myself.

I noticed that a lot of spidermen/women and spidersonas seem to be a bit stereotyped with the males usually wearing darker colors and the females wearing light colors. that's all well and good but I didn't want that for my characters so I did the opposite.

my male hero is brightly colored while my female villain has more earthy tones, the colors of which are based off the spiders the two of them represent.

Antilles (antilles pinktoe) [1/2020]

Antilles is the superhero and the bane of Widow B's existence.

He's an artist and his suit represents as such with the pain splatters, and he wears a shawl/skirt because he doesn't care about gender norms (plus he totally looks good)

I wanted to do something a little different with this girl by making her a little more spider-like so she was given a giant mechanical spider thing that attaches to her back.

these two drawings were based off something from a dream I had about playing these Gameboy games (high scores were made by three Hellspawn).

I don't remember what the games were about exactly and I don't know who the hellspawn are, only that they had the highest scores on the games.

maybe it's because I've been really into Empires SMP / Minecraft lately?

so...I guess a life update is in order?

been hanging out mostly on my other blog, found here it's mostly minecraft / empires smp-related posts with some empires aus and some random hermitcraft stuff

uh, haven't done much art lately but I have written a few fanfics if anyone wants to check them out. link here

got Minecraft Java Edition for my laptop and have been playing that. I plan on making youtube videos at some point but I've been putting off editing any of the gameplay I've captured [mostly anxiety but also been busy writing]

I think that's about it. hopefully, I'll come by here more often to get this blog up and running properly - I've got a queue full of posts so there really wasn't any reason to stop by. maybe that'll change?

I went through a bit of a tribal tattoo phase which is why part of these are designed as such. I don't really draw designs like this anymore but I would love to, they're just really fun.

the left tribal design was the first ever I've done and it's perhaps my favorite. it took several hours to design (looks so simple but it wasn't) and I don't think any of my other ones come close to being as good as this one.

the leech is actually inspired not only by the tribal design but also a poem I wrote years ago (sometime before 2010) called "the leech". I'll probably upload that poem to here at some point.

some of these other designs - the smaller, simple ones - came to be because I was bored. the fox one was one of two concepts for a symbol for a story that I was going to write called "Wolf's Call". the story never came to be because the closest I came to a plot was: there's a family of wolf shapeshifters and the youngest child is the main character.

Silvan Sketch Dump [2019]

these are random doodles / sketches of my Bosmer assassin. he's just a tired boi who loves his Mother and doesn't take shit from no one. he also really really really doesn't like Astrid because she made the other members of the Dark Brotherhood stray from their Mother.

Cicero: Hug

takes place after the final quest. Silvan feels great respect for Cicero because they've both devoted their lives to serving their Mother, more so than any other member of their family. Cicero is like a brother to him - an insane little rat man brother :)

Mother, Why?

this takes place after the Falkreath Sanctuary is attacked and half of the Dark Brotherhood is slaughtered. Silvan, while he frowned on the family's sins against the Night Mother, he still loved his fellow assassins (minus Astrid) and was heartbroken over their deaths.

Silvan has always wanted to just tell Astrid to go fuck herself on a donkey dick but doing so would put a divide between him and the others. if there's one thing he doesn't want, it's to make his family stray further from their Mother than they already are. but a man (Bosmer) can dream, right?

Tired™

dunno if this takes place sometime before he joined the Dark Brotherhood or after, but this boy is always tired. he hardly sleeps (something we got in common) and will occasionally just crash wherever he's at - he once fell asleep on the back of a horse.

nameless character, part angel [7/2020]

I think this character was once part of an idea I had for some fandom au, but that idea is long gone with no hope of ever returning :'(

she's part angel (in reality, she has about 15 foot wingspan), and the design is inspired by another's depiction of what angels would really look like

the colors are a lot more vibrant than my photo skills allow (I tried to use a photo editor app in order to get close to the proper vibrancy but I didn't quite get it right)

I drew this one around the time of the knight above when I was experimenting with non-cartoony art (I don't want to say realism because this isn't really all that realistic and it's more of a pinup style than anything else).

I want to redraw her some day because the tail is a bit unrealistic and she's a bit too thin in the waist, I also don't like the addition of the jewelry.

I like the hair and I think I did fairly well in drawing the breasts (though they are a little perkier than what they should be).
