jeff winger transfem order of events

(COMMUNITY SPOILERS)

- goes through some rough stuff in the later seasons (and takes it out on the people around her) but after the end of season six after everyone is moving on, she begins to realise maybe she feels like a 'failed man' because she ISNT a man

- comes out to abed first. he gets it immediately, no troubles, gives her a list of names he thinks would fit. Jeff refuses but is appreciative nonetheless. abed says he got all the names from female action movie characters. (trinity is first on the list of names obviously) later abed mentions that he knew since season 5. jeff questions further but can't get anything else out of abed

- calls annie about it, hoping to ask for some makeup tips, shes weird about it at first because she doesnt understand and jeff gives up. annie, after realising she messed up, reads up about being trans and she takes an impromptu trip to Jeff's place, and bursts through the door like "I DONT FULLY GET IT BUT I'LL DO YOUR MAKEUP ANYWAY!!" and they have a girls night and it's rly sweet

- annie accidentally mentions the girls night to dean pelton, who gets jealous that he wasn't invited, but is otherwise the same old dean. offers some of his outfits to jeff but she does not want to be an unstylish girl and absolutely refuses. comes back a week later to ask to borrow a padded bra

- he tells britta and she gets upset that she wasn't told before the dean, and jeff responds "this is why!! because you'd get all weird about it!!". britta breaks down and admits that she's been questioning her sexuality, but has been just hoping it'd go away. Jeff says that's just how she felt about her gender too. they have a tender moment and they makeout, (and then regret it the next day ofc) but find they trust each other a lot more now.

- jeff calls shirley. she's very nervous about it, but shirley replies, "if you feel like you're a woman, it's because God has decided you are one. we need more strong women in this world" and jeff is so relieved that shirley accepts her (in her own shirley way). shirley then mails her a care package, with some pretty soaps and mirrors and makeup. jeff cries when she opens it.

- chang does not care

- Frankie is surprisingly well versed on the subject of transness, and offers to do 'girl things' with her, before realising neither of them are very girly girls so they just go out for drinks.

and some headcanons

- jeff obvi is a skinny jeans and fancy shirt kind of girl. not a fan of pretty dresses for the most part

- gets her ears pierced for fhe first time and starts wearing studs

- her true gender goals are scully from x-files or Olivia Benson from season 1 of law and order svu. (she loves the chin-length hair and the smoulder)

- wants to start E but really nervous to talk to her gp about it so she puts it off for ages

- puts on a pencil skirt for the first time and realises shes just turning into Michelle Slater. then she realises maybe that's what drew her to her in the first place

- insecure about her feet and hands, and hides them in her pockets

- the usual on-and-off relationship with britta but now britta finds herself swooning for jeff even further after her starting E, because jeff gets a bit shyer about it and britta thinks its cute

- after years on E, I imagine she sees her father again and after a bombardment of transphobia he tells her softly "...you look just like your mother" and she can't stop thinking about it

- she is constantly stressing about passing and gets all in her head about it

- britta does something really embarrassing in public and it snaps jeff out of her funk
