'Voices', the first EP from Deeper than Forever - released July 1st 2014

New talent- Shadowshayd

Shadowshayd are a band from Worksop Adam and Ryan have known each other for about 12 years and first started playing in a band together late 2011.

Then the band split up and but luckily got back on track in January 2013.

By that time Terry and Andrew joined the band after the previous members left.

The members consist of:

Adam Methven- Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar

Terry Emmerson- Drums

Ryan Wyld- Bass

Andrew Proctor- Lead Guitar

They are currently in the process of writing their first EP.

They're a hard rock, grungey, metal band from Worksop with energetic, strong, tight music.

They've been influenced by bands such as: Metallica, Black Stone Cherry, Machine Head, Pearl Jam, Nirvana,Guns N Roses.

Their tour dates are:

Shadowshayd & Occulum @ Three Legged Stool, Worksop. Saturday 20th April 2013. 7:00PM

Retford Festival- Sunday 19th May 2013

We had an interview with everyone in the band about their EP release and playing the BBC introducing

    How are you feeling about tonight?

Very excited!! *screams*

Are you playing any new songs tonight?

Yes we've got 3 new ones, got three extra ones we've been working on, we've got lost in the moment, what is this feeling and reggae

Is that what you're most excited about tonight?

No it's just generally performing and getting up on stage

How does it feel like to have your songs supported by the BBC?

I think it's great, it's a great feeling

How does it feel like to have your album released?

It's amazing, I'm glad we've got it out, you know it's great finally getting our singles released

Thursday 21/02/2013- Showcase at The Palace Theater

New Communication played tonight at The Palace Theater in Mansfield as part of Showcase in the local area.

Showcase held a vary of musical, dance and drama acts throughout the night.

I spoke to the band after they played and they said how nervous they were to start and how it's given them confidence for tomorrow night.

Album review- Mumford and Sons: Babel

Move out of the way Dubstep, Folk is back in town!

How do Mumford and Sons make a follow up to Sigh No More and keep their success? By making Babel!

Babel was released in September 2012 after releasing their lead single I Will Wait and becoming the fastest selling album of 2012 in Britain.

Mumford and Sons stuck to their guns on this album and have made music like their previous album and satisfying listeners' needs by giving a great kick in tracks like Babel, I Will Wait and Lover of the Light but there are quieter moments on the album like the soft and gentle Ghosts That We Knew and Reminder.

Even though the album is a great achievement, the band said themselves in an interview that they thought Babel was going to be “the disappointing second child” when the popularity of Sigh No More increased.

This marvellous album won album of the year at the Grammys and has 2 nominations at the 2013 BRIT awards.

Mumford are currently on tour in Europe and will be headlining T in the Park this year as well as playing at a “Gentlemen of the Road” stop in The Covent Field.

In The End Records talks to latest signing New Communication

NEWS UPDATE! We spent some time with the new band, New Communication, on their new upcoming album. We had a quick interview with the band members on the progress of the album.

New Communication are a pop/ hip-hop band and they take influence from the Fugees. We spoke to some of New communication, Charlie (drums), James (guitar), Tom (keyboards), Jack (bass).

They described life in the studio as relaxing, great and fun. What makes this new band unique is the unusual vocal line up and collection of instruments.

Their upcoming shows are at the palace theatre which is on the 21st and the 22nd February and their EP launch is on the 11th March at the old library as part of Sonar music industry week. Stay tuned as we will keep you posted with more news as soon as possible!
