the biggest indicator to me that Ramon is JUST AS MUCH complicit in manipulating Chris into believing Eddie doesn’t want him / staying in El Paso is the best course of action was him correcting Helena’s “diaz boys” to “diaz men”.

Eddie EXPLICITLY called Ramon out for making him “be the man of the house” at the age of 12. I believed all this time that maybe Ramon has had at least some modicum of self reflection since but clearly NOT???

also add to this the fact that Ramon put himself down (or at the very least did not correct the assumption) as Chris’ DAD??? excuse me back the fuck up???

I'm seeing so many anti Helena posts on my dash and it's awesome, keep it up you guys, but I think we should start anti-Ramon posting too. Like, I'm sorry, but he's just as bad. And just because he's less clumsy about it - going after Eddie to "support" him - doesn't mean he isn't just as complicit in this rift between Eddie and Chris.

He told Eddie to give Chris time. That Chris will come around. "Like Eddie did." Completely ignoring that a) Eddie only came around because he wanted to stop being angry ("for myself"), not because Ramon redeemed himself, and b) Eddie has been giving Chris time. Months of time.

So maybe it's time to stop being passive. It's time to talk to Chris. It's time to have that heart to heart. Telling Eddie not to do that ensures that Eddie stays well away from Chris, in the same way that Helena keeping the PS5 does.

At the end of the episode, Eddie stops following Ramon's advice (to follow Buck's instead) and wouldn't you know it? It works!

In conclusion: Ramon sucks just as much as Helena does, and you will never make me like the Diaz parents.

the last two episodes have made it crystal clear to me that they have been manipulating chris this whole time. but this time instead of being outright like the last time they asked for chris to be turned over to them because chris needed "stability", it has been much more insidious and intentional.

all of helena's pointed remarks ("maybe I can get an extra bumper sticker" in that tone? "are these the healthiest choices?" "we're just gonna tell your father that he's gonna have to give up the seat on the bus" "so you're just disrupting his life like that?") and all of ramon's behind the scenes scheming (not a single word was spoken when helena is making those remarks and WHAT THE FUCK do you mean you put yourself down as christopher diaz's DAD???) have proven to me that not only did they NEVER care about bridging the rift between chris and eddie, they were ACTIVELY manipulating chris into thinking that eddie does not want him??????

and really what could possibly be worse than this betrayal? eddie has been living a half life in LA since chris left, he was constantly walking on egg shells around him, he uprooted his entire life and moved back to a miserable place he never wanted to be in, he is bending over backwards just to be WORTHY of his son? there isnt a single place he would choose to be of his own volition except right beside his SON.... and these fuckers have somehow managed to convince chris that his dad doesnt want him????? poor chris poor eddie my heart so much for both of them and all the time lost.

eddie diaz your soul too pure and your heart too big for these fuckass parents of yours. if it had been they would have been dead to me for life I AM SO SERIOUS!!!!
