I made that several months ago, joked that they’d be the main characters of my next original incest fiction story. Then a few weeks ago, I had a dream about a Doctor Strange-type character who, in saving the world, had no choice but to cast a spell with a particular cost… his sister. It wouldn’t kill her, but it would rewrite reality so that she wasn’t his sister anymore, that she’d never known him. After, he’d try and track her down and resume some kind of relationship (”what is destroyed can sometimes be rebuilt” was a phrase from the dream itself), but because she didn’t see him as her brother she’d wind up falling for him and he’d have no navigate around that and his own complicated feelings.

I shared the dream with the discord and apparently some people there liked the idea as a story plot and inspired me to get it a try. It’s another “I will just post updates sporadically and not worry about getting a complete story done), but, the first chapter’s up. It’s mostly setup, establishing he rules and what led to the spell being cast, the sister doesn’t technically appear yet. So there’s certainly no incest yet. Chapter Seventeen is up! (Apparently AO3 had some weird glitch where it labelled a 'draft' of Chapter Sixteen as Chapter Seventeen, so I briefly thought this was Eighteen, but it's resolved)

I'm still running with about a completed chapter (completed save a few descriptions and other things-I-need-to-decide later that is) ahead, but that has downsides in that I'm excited about stuff I can't tell anyone about. :)

Chapter Fifteen

A little note about this, there's a bit of real world politics in this. When I started writing this I didn't really expect the clusterfuck of US politics, and as such I hadn't firmed up exactly WHEN it was taking place, it was a nebulous 'now.' But that kind of assumed US voters would make a sane choice, which, well, (gestures at everything) and to keep it with what previously established it couldn't happen any time later than mid-2024. And, moreover, I thought of a way to tie it into the story.

No one in the current administration is mentioned by name, but is referred to in terms of the magical communities thoughts on him. This won't be a major part of the story, just sort of background, that MIGHT factor into a sequel but probably only by virtue of at least some of it likely taking place in 2025.

Did I say sequel? Yes. The good news is that, at this point, I'm more or less settled on where this story goes from here and how it ends, and it's not THAT far away (and that although a few things are settled it definately leaves things set up for a sequel... spoilers, I guess?).

I'm also still running at almost a chapter ahead of what I'm posting.

Yearly Folgerscest Fic: Holiday Signs and Symbols (Boy Kills World)

For the last several years I've had a tradition of doing a Folgerscest mashup fic with some fandom I enjoy. This year I knew exactly who I wanted to do it with. For a while I worried I wasn't going to be able to finish, but I managed with a few days to spare. So, I present to you... Holiday Signs and Symbols. Not thrilled with the title but it was all I could think of. Still, I had a lot of fun writing it.

Also, I hesitate to mention since it's so tenuous, by my last cestfic, a Time Bandits (2024) fic called "The Land of Kisses," is a little bit of a stealth Folgersfic? In that I seriously considered actually writing it as a full-on Folgers parody, and eventually decided not to but still had fun working in a few references to the commercial in there. However, since it's the Folgers season, and the fic didn't get a whole lot of views as it was, I'm going to mention it anyway.

New fic! (Time Bandits, aged up, post-canon Kevin/Saffron).

Recently watched Time Bandits season 1 and... it's already cancelled. But, it was a fun ride, and they did one genius thing the movie didn't, they gave the main character a sister who eventually gets involved. And, since they cancelled the show, I'm free to decide where their relationship goes. Regular followers will know where I decided to take it.

Consider this kind of a season-three premiere, if they ever got a season three, with a possible cast change.

Fic

I've finally posted the first chapter of my Boy Kills World fanfic! It will have two chapters total and the second chapter is drafted, but I'm still editing it. So I'll publish that soon.

Ch. 1 is from Boy's POV and Ch. 2 will be from June27's POV. It takes place between the end of the movie and the post-credits scene, and some of the second chapter takes place immediately after the post-credits scene. In the movie that's most likely meant to be just a few hours but in my story it spans two days. It's still canon compliant, though. I made it work, if you can believe she still has her eye makeup on.

Not much plot, mostly just these two hiding out and recuperating from their injuries and being awkwardly attracted to each other and trying not to be attracted to each other and failing and sharing a bed a lot.
