One of my favorite things about the "I live in a world made of cardboard" speech is the fact that Superman always holds back. Even in fights against Luthor or Brainiac. He is willing to drive himself to the brink so as not to hurt someone.

Peter and Paul are both the names of saints.

Both are young, attractive, aryan men dressed in white.

There have been myths of gods coming into houses testing the owners hospitality and punishing them when they aren’t given it.

Peter and Paul ask for 4 eggs. There were four rivers in paradise. There are four gospels. On the fourth day, the material world came to be. The devil speaks only four times.

Eggs are often a symbol of new life, of resurrection. Jesus rose from his tomb. On that day of rising, we celebrate with Easter eggs.

Paul has complete and utter control of time and space. He can pause the film, rewind it, change the soundtrack. He looks at the camera and addresses us directly. He has god-like power and almost acts like some angel of death.

Last up, the loving wife game. When Ann doesn’t do it right, Paul forces her to pray properly and is disgusted and annoyed when she doesn’t know any prayers.

God is smeared all over this movie. I’m hoping some smarter people figure out what this is trying to say cause I don’t got a clue. Thanks xoxo
