I will... probably be moving blogs? Which I am very sorry to the person I just followed, but I will follow you on the new blog. I'm working on setting it all up, but I won't be dropping the majority of threads. I simply need a change.

I am so very much not dead, my dearlings, just on the struggle bus mentally. I fear I am burning out right now, and I've had very little energy to put towards RP, let alone online life. Me and books have become reacquainted.

I'm trying to give myself the opportunity to be a little more present, but every day is horror upon horrors under this administration, and I work in an industry often directly affected by his policies. It's been a difficult year already and I don't foresee it getting better.

Thank you for giving me the grace to not be here, and I'll try to put things out sporadically as the words flow.

"Well, then I suppose it is all the better I have a friend in Hell to remind me of my name, hm? In case I forget it all in the fall from Earth to Hell," he mused, smiling faintly.

"Although... I would suppose that would mean I become Terzo forever, and lose the name given me by my mother."

After all, Alastor didn't know his legal name. Very few did, and fewer still cared to call him it unless they felt it was necessary. He was more Terzo than anyone else at this point in his life, and that was an odd thing to be if he dwelled on it too long. "Alastor is the type of name that needs no surname. Far too unique to be dragged down by family names. A single name and a title clearly suit you best here and in Hell."

He had the good grace not to look too indignant when Alastor starts to laugh, but his nose wrinkles slightly all the same. It's far from a mean laugh, but he's not the sort to enjoy laughter at his expense, however amused it might be.

There is a small quirk at the corner of his lips, though, at the end. His laughter is borderline angelic.

"And I am assuming such... nifty skills are what led to her name? Do sinners often pick new names when they come to Hell?

He had seen the new Earth Ghoul. An opposite to Earth in nearly every single way. A pebble as opposed to a boulder, and all the energy of throwing gravel onto ice. And yet... he could not bring himself to approach, leaving him in the capable hands of Terzo and the other ghouls.

He folds his gloved hands on his desk, listening to Delta's concerns, and understanding them implicitly. It was a very big change after all, and perhaps wouldn't be so much of one if Earth had not done as he had.

"Alpha and I have an understanding to never speak to each other unless Omega or Papa Emeritus III are in mortal peril. However, I will still not mention it. I know it has been... difficult to adapt. If you cannot feel secure on my words alone, speak with Papa. He is your leader... our leader."

Not only was it his expression but the whole feeling of the room shifted and soured as the Carinal's mind wandered. As much as he wondered what he was thinking about he politely averted his eyes to a painting on the wall rather than stare at him as he waited for him to continue or snap out of whatever thought process he had that felt anything but positive. "Well it's..." in defence and unease his shoulders raised a little and his eyes were back in his cop that looked very small in his hands. He wasn't among the largest ghouls here but he could not be considered among the smaller ones either. Not like the new Earth ghoul, he was convinced no one had seen something so small since last they saw an adolescent kit. "It's just a lot of change at once so close to all the other changes," the first major rotation had been uncomfortable, and another one was even harder. "If we don't feel secure then how are we gonna perform at our best, you know?"

A soft chuckle left him and he raised the teacup to take a sip. The tea was cold now. "Oh, I know a few who might have a thing or two to say about that. If you don't have a death wish, I'd suggest not mentioning that in front of Alpha," there was a glint of mischief in his eyes as he said it, indicating that he was only joking but he was also pretty sure Alpha might just level the Abbey to the ground if that was the case.

"Jesus, tell me about it. I both recognize everyone and no one at SHIELD it feels like. Mostly... no one. Having you and Hazel helps a hell of a lot, though. Not sure my therapist is glad I'm back, though? But, I also don't see her as often. She's got a lot more people on her plate. and I'm way more equipped to deal with any trauma the blip left my brain. Score one for me, I think," he joked, grinning at Sterling with a little wink.

He was definitely in a good enough place to be able to make light of his life.

"Well, shit. At least I don't have to worry about Abby being too close in age to me, I'd never recover. But yeah, I was Buffalo Wild Wings. Did that place even survive the blip? I feel like I never see restaurants I recognize these days."

He also did an impressive recreation of a blue screen when Sterling said Aimee was married.

"Holy shit, I don't think my heart can take that, actually. Graduated, married and a social worker now? You must've gone through all five stages of grief when you found out. I'd be salty too, to be honest. Hell, if my little brother didn't get blipped, he's a year older than me now. What kind of social work is she doing, and what's Abby going to school for?"

Breaking the surface was important, yes. Now Sterling just had to swim to shore. Still exhausted from lack of air and fighting to the surface. He could still drown, but at least he could breathe.

He just had to... keep swimming.

Damn, Dory knew what's up.

"To be honest, I'm glad. It's been sort of lonely around here without the old gang. But we're still here and I'm glad to have you." It had been hard to get close to people lately so making new friends when he'd lost the old was near impossible. Dean asking about Abby, however, was the blast of nostalgia that was needed to cut through the haze of loneliness threatening to settle into the conversation.

"She is. She's in college now. We were blipped together so she got held back a bit re-signing up. What did she used to call you? Tail Feathers? No, that was Clint. Buffalo Wild Wings? I don't know. She made up so many names for people I couldn't keep up. Aimee though, you should see Aimee! She's graduated, married, and a social worker now. Abby's still salty Aimee is technically older now."

"Perhaps, if souls have colors. The assumption has always been that a sinner has a blackened one, and le anime 'pure' sono bianche. Bullshit opinion, si? Souls I think have very much a... spectrum. Like Ghouls and their elements. Many colors, even in the same element," he answered, giving a little wave of his hand.

He had no doubt Alastor still had a soul, as he imagined the truly soulless of humanity ended up in some sort of... purgatory. Void, even. Even a soul that was sold still existed, yes?

"Your soul is surely red, if so."

The crimson clad Overlord let out a softer chuckle, static faintly crackling as he did. His head tilted slightly to the side, those crimson orbs observing his friend, as he always did. He enjoyed the relaxed banter, really. It was something he couldn't really have with anyone else. Maybe with the exception of Niffty, that is.

"Black as pitch, is it? Why, I suppose that it would be a fair assumption~" He'd hum, amused by the idea. Even if he often would make a comment about his lack of a soul.

He severely doubted that he even had one. Ah, but he was maybe a tad cynical in that regard.

In the very simplest terms, Copia is a dominant.

He didn't used to be, though. When he was in his 20s and 30s, he was far more submissive in bed and every day life, doing as others wished because it was expected of him as a member of the Satanic Ministry and typically lower ranked until he became a Cardinal.

Eventually, he learned to be in charge of his needs and desires, whether topping or bottoming, and being up front that he was not usually sexually attracted to those he took to his bed.
