here’s a few of the villagers, with some rather obvious choices like Mia as belle and diego as Gaston obviously and grossberg as the bookstore guy (but mia obsesses over literal law texts instead hgvbhj), with April as one of the fawning entourage (the other two being cammie meele and ini miney but my sketchbook is only so big)

pearl is lefou but she really has no idea what she’s doing, she just wants to join in with the village having fun. but the reason she’s hanging around gaston so much has to do with maya who doesn’t have a direct counterpart in the disney movie - she’s mias little sister and also isn’t exactly happy with life in the village, but less “there are great things out there” like mia and more “hey if we gotta farm how come y’all still yell at me for running barefoot through the mud and eating a whole raw pumpkin” and she has this like subplot about wanting to replace Diego as the number one shooter in town but The Misogyny…

also as a disney Guy gaston doesn’t smoke but I can’t stop seeing diegaston smoking a cigar for some reason I think bc it’s so easy to imagine him vaping in 2018
