I have been seven shades 'a excellent. I got sleep, real sleep last night. I got work done. Handled some files, read a couple a newspapers, added some details to a heist plan. And I didn't get no bullets shot through my torso, or anywhere else for the matter.

And that, I would most proudly say, can be considered a damn good day if not a rarity as a Felt. Haha. Not to be a prick. Just felt damn good and had to tell somebuddy.

And then I returned after a good seven years or so. And in my absence earned a couple a followers.

Cripes, another midnight monkey on my trail. Real nice, real nice. I am so kind enough to return and I end up with the MC snoopin' my trail like hounds.  Wouldn't say I'm surprised, the bastards. Oh, they have a daughter, too.

What?

The command flies right over your head. There is absolutely nothing that demands your immediate attention, nor anything that might do so in the future, and you are very very bored as a result. You've already read today's paper thrice, as well as yesterday's, and the day before's. There's no one to talk to and nothing to do. The silence is comforting although the concept of peace is quite foreign to you.

As a man, you have a good sense-of-self. You can tell when you're hitting rock bottom. Everyday as you read the paper, you discard the Sunday funnies to whoever wants them. You never read them, ever. You would never read them, no matter how bored you were or are. They just don't entertain you the way they do other people. 

You flick through the newspaper a fourth time.

Damn, you haven't read Garfield since you were a boy. Ought to see what that fat cat's up to.
