this is Clemence Ward, my oc that i always neglect drawing in favor of my main two. Sorry if this doesn't look up to my usual work's standards, i drew it/designed her a very long time ago.

she's from the same universe as Rue and part of a book im writing. tbh, i might end up editing her out.

Personality wise, Clemence is pretty outgoing and likes being around others. She is definitely a perfectionist, though, and can come across as a bit snobby and self-righteous. She's also a little too trusting of people.

found my old mp3 from last summer and started listening. The nostalgia hit like sack of bricks. Summer of 2024 was honestly such a trip and the playlist captured the vibe my memories so well. I’m crying over the injustice of the promised neverland season two again

can I ask what your rendering process is? I’ve been kind of struggling with rendering lately and your work always looks so good

Yes of course! Thank you! It's nothing special really

I start with the flats obviously, then I do big chunky shading and lighting, shadings usually blue or purple on multiply and the lightings usually yellow on add

Then I lower the opacity of those and create a new layer of all of it together

Then I blend it out, fairly smooth but not completely

Then I do mostly the same on a couple more shading layers, defining deep shadows and highlights, then on top of THAT I'll airbrush the general light and dark areas with pretty saturated colours usually red and blues but sometimes whites or greens, whatever happens to meld best and set that to overlay

Then I create another layer with all of THAT and emboss it, set that to overlay too and lower the opacity

And that's basically it, I mean I'll often put noise or texture over top but other then that there's not much else, if there are any specifics you wanna know feel free to ask!!

It's not exactly the same every time but it's pretty similar
