clarification on the previous ask about the octagon scene! Komaeda didn't speak a different language the whole time, he just asked specifically what an "octagon" (the english word) is while speaking Japanese. Essentially like if someone just asks you suddenly if you know what 八角形 means. Hence Hinata's hesitation to answer and everybody else's unsureness bc. Hell if I know what Octagon is in other langauges either lol. Which follows Komaeda's comment about Hinata being clever for that! Good on both of them for knowing, even if one was a little unsure lol!

fun fact about Hinata's (proclaimed) stupidity:
In the octogon scene in Japan, Nagito just straight-up started speaking a different language and the way English translated it made it look like Hinata's an idiot.
In the Japanese version of that scene, Nagito spoke English, and people are essensially calling Hinata stupid for not being fluent in two languaged.
:O oh wow, i had no idea that was the case!! it certainly makes the english version make a bit more sense now with that context xD thank you so much for sharing - you really do learn something new every day!!!!!
