Wanted to join in the clan gen blogs BUT, see, I'm bad at comics, so I am not gonna even ATTEMPT to commit to that. But what can I commit to? A gigantic illustration that will take me weeks? Uh, sign me up!

So, I opened clan gen and created a clan, played two hundred moons on it and drew out the final family tree! I'll probs reblog this later with like, doodles of memorable moments the clan had, my fav relationships n stuff, but this is the main project heheh.

It's so many cats y'all. so many. 84 I think? God, and I was trimming the clan too! Kits and joiners that I killed as soon as they joined were not added here. Mostly kits tho.

Mapping out the characters was the hardest part. While clangen offers a pretty comprehensive family tree by looking up each cat, it's harder to have them all mapped out (which is why clangen doesn't DO that, they arent stupid like me) I started by mapping it all out on a site called Family Echo, with which I could map out the greatest majority of the tree~ I then did a rough sketch on my canvas laying out where the characters would be. And looking back, I hilariously underestimated how much space I would need, lollll. The original canvas was already pretty big, about 5000x1200, but that was before I decided to do, you know, a nice organized layout. Here's that original tree layout:

So umm, a whole ass mess. The final canvas is... 11480x3513. The biggest canvas I've ever had to have. golly.

Would I recommend this to anyone? Well, if you start your clan and do this immediately and go updating bit by bit as the moons go by, then yeah! I really enjoy visuals like these, it's like seeing statistics, heheh. Otherwise, unless you seek suffering? NO.

Fun fact, originally the clan was named DewClan, but while I was playing, @moons-of-dewclan started their blog (yes, I've been working on this for that long (also, go check themout, it's really really ggod!) and I was like oop, so I just used orvalho, which is,,, dew in Portuguese heheh.

There probably are mistakes here and there, for example I just saw that BirtchSpike is named as BirthSpike... OH FUCKING WELL.

Hello evryone! it's been a long while! I was hit with terrible art block for like, two months, and I'm finally peeking out of the woods, doing some of that there drawing.

I haven't gotten to work on any warriors designs yet but, here's my oc, Twilightfang, showing off the direction I want to go with on the new designs, if only in terms of laout. I want them to br a little more elaborated, really showing off and explaining the design, rather than the mostly one pose drawing I's beed doing so far.

I hope to get back on the designing train soon! I'm really needing to tweak some of these desins, oof.

Hey yalllll

Letting you know I'll probs be rebooting this blog.

Basically I'm deeply unhappy with everything. I should've organized better from the start. I should've learned my lesson given how many times I say "I should've organized myself better".

Alas, I'll just delete all posts eventually and replace them with something I' more happy with. I'll very likely be tweaking these designs too.

I know my Hawkfrost design is very goofy looking, and like, not evil, but don't worry, it's nothing two little lines and a few teeth can't solve! (His teeth are a tad crooked btw)

moooore concepts, tbh I don't see these changing much to the final renders, I'm happy with them. Maybe i'll tweak tigerclaw a tad, so he resembles mothwing a smidge more, but i'll probs just give him ear fluff and a gradient lol I'm trusting that the wiki has accurate descriptions to what is in the book, which means tawnypelt barely looks like any of her parents. I tried to at least reuse the same colors here and there.

I just realized I've had the initial concepts for Ferncloud and Ashfur for a while. Time to finalize 'em! Ashfur gonna have to wait tho, it's Ferncloud time. I think this is a very... quirky Ferncloud design, she doesn't really fir in with the other deisgns y'aknow, which is good, but maybe not as recognizable? hmmmmm well, I aint changing it... probably.

God, I'm gonna need to make an height chart eventually. I have no idea if i'm doing the proportions right on these oops.

I feel like all these dudes are pretty basic. Maybe Cinderpelt is a lil more original (?) Idk, I really like this drawing, sshe looks sweet qwq There is not much to do with graystipe tho, pretty straightforward, so was cloudtail. Making his tail all round to pass it to Dovewing, that and the little face dots, family traits yall. Also, I simply HAD to have Brightheart with hearts all over, I simply had to okay.

FINALLY, I've finally found something neat for Spottedleaf. I didn't know she was realted to Redtail (I didnt read the books, so idk if that is like,,, mentioned at all lol) but since I'm making Redtail all squared? Spottedleaf gets the same treatment, and I think it suits her!
