Part 1 of Intraoperative Resuscitation
And there I was, lying on the operating table, intubated, with an open incision over my sternum, my heart having stopped beating, and with the ventilator breathing in my place, the worst thing I could have hoped for happened: cardiac arrest. I was dead.
One of the surgeons began performing CPR on my lifeless chest. The ventilator continued to breathe for me. This continued for a while until my heart began to move erratically and uncontrollably.
There, another surgeon called for the defibrillator paddles, applied a conductive gel, and placed them on my exposed chest. I could hear him say, "Charging to 150 Joules." All that remained was to wait for the cardioversion to take effect. When the paddles were ready, he said, "Preparing shock, no one touches the patient," and then said, "Clear!" At that moment, my body shook from the electric shock that ran through my heart, but it was still beating erratically.
The same surgeon would repeat the action, but this time he said, "Charging to 250 Joules." It had to work this time for the surgery to continue. Then, the paddles were already charged, and he warned the rest of the staff that no one could touch me, and immediately afterward he said, "Clear!" My body received another electric shock directed at my heart, but with the same result: my heart was still fibrillating.
The same surgeon would administer another shock, but this time he said, "Charging to 300 Joules." I was only expecting the worst, and with the paddles charged, he said, "Clear!" once more. My body shook violently from the electric shock directed at my heart, but it was the same result: ventricular fibrillation.
He prepared another 360-joule shock. My body began to shake violently again, but this time my heart stopped: asystole, I was dead again. The surgeons performed CPR on my chest again, injected adrenaline, took me off the ventilator, and air was delivered through an Ambu Bag connected to my endotracheal tube. The same cycle was repeated.
Will I be able to leave from the OR alive, or will I end dead?
(A second part is on the works, but I need to censor my private parts for the next one)

The big moment was approaching…
Now that everything was ready for the surgery, the surgeon asked his assistant for the scalpel. All I could do was watch as he pressed the blade into the skin of my chest and saw the blood begin to flow from the cut.
But my body said something I hadn't expected: I began to convulse, my heart began to beat wildly and irregularly. This continued for a while until my body calmed down, and then I felt the worst: total silence, my heart stopped, I went into cardiac arrest, I was dead...
The doctors and surgeons didn't know what to do; some wanted to let me die in peace, while others wanted to start CPR to try to save me. What would happen next? Is my life over or will I cling to life?

The last moments before the surgery...
After intubation, and the nurses gave them the go-ahead to begin the surgery, they placed a kind of plastic sheet on me to protect the area to be operated on; a transparent sterile surgical drape that covered my entire torso.
Then, they covered my body with a sheet up to the end of my sternum, so that my entire chest was uncovered, including my nipples. My head was separated from the work area so I couldn't see them opening me up.
I was completely immobile, helpless. All I could do was listen to what the doctors and surgeons were talking about, breathe through the ventilator, listen to my heartbeat in my subconscious. I couldn't move, not even a finger. I had to prepare for the worst if something happened to me during, or even before, the surgery began…

Sadly, the Part 1 of my story was flagged as Explícit (even with the blur censorship that I placed).
I'll try to post the first image (probably cropped) without my exposed crotch, so you'll be able to see it.

This is me about to enter the surgical stage.
My body is completely exposed, leaving only my legs covered.
All I can do right now is breathe the air from the ventilator, feel the doctors touching my body, listen to the sounds of the monitors checking my vital signs, hear my heartbeat, and wait for them to open my chest.

Part 3 of my story
After they intubated me, they uncovered my entire torso so I was naked down to my crotch, exposing my private parts.
Tumblr media
From there, they began cleaning my torso, and it felt like the cold sensation of disinfectant running over my entire body, especially my nipples (my body felt a slight reaction when they rubbed them there).
Tumblr media
Then they disinfected and cleaned my private parts so they could insert a catheter, which I could urinate with.
Tumblr media
Finally, to make sure I was completely asleep, they used forceps and touched my nipples to see if my body reacted.
Tumblr media
When they saw a negative response, they said everything was ready for them to open me up.

Part 2 of my story...
Tumblr media
When I lost consciousness, I was trapped inside myself. I could hear everything they were telling me in the operating room while I was sound asleep.
Tumblr media
And that's when they opened my mouth to insert some kind of foreign object down my throat. I tried to get it out, but my body couldn't react.
Tumblr media
Then they inserted some kind of hose over my mouth, and then I started to feel a flow of air breathing in my place.
Tumblr media
It was a mechanical ventilator, and I felt like I was able to get my lungs working, since I had no airflow at all.
Tumblr media
A part 3 is on the works (might need a little bit of work, beause I need to censor my private parts to post it here)
