Once it was his turn in line, Rey quickly ordered his americano and moved to the end of the counter to wait for his drink. “It’s no bother; I’m from London. Moved here about half a year ago to study a master’s degree.” He replied. “Are you from around here?” Rey asked, looking at the name written on the other male’s cup when they handed it to him, remembering he’d forgotten to introduce himself. “Sorry, where are my manners? I’m Reyandesh, Veer. You can call me Rey. That’s Rey with an E, not Ray with an A.”

“London? Nice. I’ve always wanted to go. I’ve lived in Oregon my whole life and only left for a bit after college, stayed stateside though.” Isaiah offered the man his hand, “Nice to meet you, Rey with an E. I’m Isaiah Khoury. With lots of vowels.” He joked.

“It is pretty fun. The kids are great and they’re still at the age where they haven’t had the artist taken from them yet.”

“I definitely think that knowing what you’re missing with the peanut butter cups is worse.” Isaiah shrugged, “If you don’t know they’re delicious, they aren’t constantly taunting you.”

When it was her turn in line, Carter ordered the hazelnut macchiato as well before following the man to the other side of the counter. She willed herself to continue the conversation and at least attempt to make a friend here. “So, do you go to school around here?” the girl asked.

Isaiah shook his head, “No. I mean, well kinda, I teach at Chapman Elementary. So it could be argued that I go to school, but I’m not a student anymore.”

“I’ll probably just order an Americano, unlike this asshole holding up the line,” he said, raising his voice so the person in question could hear him. He wasn’t a confrontational kind of guy, but he was a bit hungover and just wanted his first dose of caffeine of the day already. “Seriously, it’s just coffee. Mate’s been over there like he’s deciding which cable to cut on a bomb or something.”

Isaiah chuckled as the other man raised his voice slightly, “Right? I mean I know there’re lots of choices, but it’s not life or death.” The person in line in front of them cleared his throat and swiped his card before moving out of the way. “Finally,” Isaiah said as he stepped forward. He ordered a Blonde Americano iced quickly before pulling up the Starbucks app and paying with that. He smiled at the other man, stepping out of the way and heading towards the end of the counter. As the other guy joined him in waiting he spoke again, “Wicked accent, by the way. Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? If you do, feel free to ignore me and we can wait in silence.”

“Anytime,” Carter chuckled along with the man in front of her. The tense that wrapped its fingers around her shoulders seemed to ease as the line moved up. “Finally,” she sighed. “Hopefully you won’t be ordering as much as that guy,” Carter nodded her head towards the man who was leaving. “Because if you do, I might just turn fifty in the meantime.”

“Definitely not ordering that much, just the one drink,” He turned to the cashier and ordered the hazelnut macchiato iced before paying and stepping to the side. He smiled at the girl and headed down to the end of the counter to wait for his drink.

Waiting to be attended, Faith Thompson was listening to music when notice that the boy in front of her was trying to have a conversation with her. Removed one of the earphones from his ears and see the man with a little smile on her face “well, thats a lot of new products, i only drink frapucchino” answerd with a giggle escaping from her lips.

“Ah, frappuccinos are good too. There are too many choices, I need to find a favorite and quit trying the new things. I get attached to limited time drinks and then have to find a new one once they’re gone.”

Carter checked her watch for the millionth time before glancing to see if the person ordering was almost done. She could’ve sworn she’d been there for nearly ten minutes, and the whole time she cursed herself for not taking up the offer presented to her at the office for a coffee run. The closest Starbucks was near a campus which only made the wait more aggravating for her. However, she tried to stay calm, but her impatience showed with the tapping of her toes against the floor. Carter’s head turned to the man in front of her and she put on a small smile, trying to seem friendly. “The Hazelnut Mocha Macchiato is pretty good,” she informed him. “But you might have a different opinion of hazelnut, I don’t think I’d suggest that.”

Isaiah shrugged, “I’m into hazelnut, thanks for the input.” He let out a sigh of relief as the person ordering multiple drinks stepped away from the counter, “Thank god, I was starting to get worried I would be forty by the time I got coffee.” He joked as he stepped forward.

× what does your muse smell like? what perfume/cologne are they using?    Isaiah wears Old Spice Wolfthorn deodorant. He doesn’t typically do cologne, but he will on a date or some big event. When he does it’s the same scent.♀ how long does your muse usually need for a shower/bath?     He’s a quick shower kind of guy, usually 10-20 minutes. ♠ any ‘weird’ characteristics on their body? one leg/arm longer than the other?    Nah, he’s a pretty average dude.♦ any tattoos? where? what’s the story behind them?    He has this tattoo on his forearm. He got it because he’s played violin since he was 6 and he loves the instrument. ⌚ how long do they need to decide what to wear in the morning?    Isaiah has a pretty easy time deciding what to wear. He usually only takes like 15-25 minutes to get it all sorted, sometimes less if he decided the night before or didn’t wake up on his first alarm.
