you are right. the first time i read it i didn’t sleep for 72 hours in quarantine until i finished it. the second time i took it slowly and understandingly.
i need to get back in the orv zone bc i have so much Unfinished Business with it on many levels but it’s also something that for me personally demands a certain level of mental engagement and i’m still slowly working my brain into shape for it
#orv#i wouldn’t precisely call it healty but it truly was a life changing experience#i am a better person than i was before#and unrelated but important: reading is just that good#i am a bit ashamed to admit it was necessary for me to read sctir to start adoring my siblings as i should#not that i didn’t love them before but i definitely didn’t value them as i should have#but then i realize how good that is#because we need new perspectives to see the world with eyes brighter than before#and i think thats great

It is but it isn’t… Scaramouche is a character of Il commedia dil arte (if i got the name right) , an old medieval italian play. You see the thing is all the fatui names are based of this theatre play, Tartagliare, Il dottore, la signora and so on.. Their character arcs also take somewhat inspo from that too, I lack research. Bohemian Rhapsody took the name out of that old character, so i am not sure if Scaramouche was inspired by the play or the song, maybe a bit of both.
