UGH THE PAIN

my biggest and most intense transfem headcanon is shared by nobody else (not saying which, it's a rly small fandom) i'm the only one who has ever picked up on ANY of the clues. even though IMO it's practically canon already if the story would just admit it. the author almost directly said she "would be trans if he knew what that was" once in an interview

her entire arc is dedicated to how much she hates being a man and AMAB, hates performing masculinity, feels like her life is being sucked dry by the strenuous task of putting on that man-mask every day and she doesn't know how much longer she can pretend to be Just A Man anymore. one day an apparition appears, a symbolic representation of her future self, who is a beautiful woman, and leads her around talking about how her life has to change and she can't keep living like this, and "how do i know this? because i'm YOU". she then has a breakdown, changes her name to a feminine one, grows out her hair, starts wearing sparkly feminine clothes, trains her voice to be higher pitched, um. just. it's a lot of clues

i've been searching through every mention of her on every platform i can think of and there is not a SINGLE POST reading her as transfem. finally recently i found ONE person. ONE (1) PERSON IN THE ENTIRE FANDOM. writing a fic on ao3 tagging her as "trans character" and. and. and. they're. writing her as. transmasc. and they said. "his arc is sooo transmasc if you read into it, there's a lot of symbolism here" . i'm gonna. die.

What’s up with people who see a character who is canonically trans or very heavily implied to be trans one way going “god I HAVE to headcanon them as trans in the other way” . Like buddy either you have no reading comprehension or you’re being very weird about trans people.

it was on wiktionary!!!* they have pages for all sorts of slang and somehow i got picked to represent "look, people are on twitter using weird homestuck words" for the writer's case to add the page

i stumbled across it a year or so after it happened, never would've known otherwise. be careful using niche fandom terminology on the 'net or you too may be unwittingly cited...!!
