As the minutes passed and the cafe's closing time drew near, the tension between you two at Cafe Cinnamon's table grew stronger. The once lively environment had quieted down, creating the ideal atmosphere for their eagerly awaited game;

A staring contest.

You and Niki locked eyes in a fierce staring contest, both determined to win. Everyone could feel the tension as the battle went on. The prize was either a fancy pan for Niki or some delicious dumplings made by Niki himself for you.

Of course you wanted to win because you hadn’t eaten lunch since you were setting up the practice room for Crazy:B later today.  However, Niki was also determined to get that pan that caught his eye while the two of you were on a date at the mall. 

Although your eyes began to feel dry and painful, you remained resolute in keeping them open. Using his keen perception, Niki detected your obvious fatigue and his expression changed from a focused stare to a beaming grin. Your forehead furrowed in confusion, but before you could fully process what was happening, you felt the soft press of his lips on yours.

As your eyes automatically closed, Niki's stayed open with a sly grin on his face as he kissed you. But as soon as you realized, you pulled back in surprise, your eyes wide. "Hey, that's not fair!".

“I win!” Niki smiled and finally blinked, “Are we going to get that pan like you promised?”

I feel I should specify when I talk about the vast majority of Israelis supporting this genocide it's not to call for violence of them or even to demonise them. It's to call attention to Israel having a genocidal education system which dehumanises Palestinians from the moment Israelis start school. Ilan Pappé did a study in 1994 of the Israeli education system and raised the alarm that it would raise a generation who are even worse than those who first colonised Palestine in 1948. We're seeing the truth of that now.

I raise this point because we're seeing this attempt by politicians and the media to claim that it's just Netanyahu who is to blame for this genocide and not a systematic problem that requires boycotting, divestments and sanctions to push them to correct. This lie is being pushed because they do not want to change the status quo which allows for Israel to steal Palestinian land and homes and keep Palestinians under military occupation.

Lucifer:*sarcastically* Oh, yes. It’s just wonderful to see the dedication those two can put into pissing me off.

MC:*shaking while still trying to hide their laugher* R-right…..*laughing so hard they double over*

Lucifer:*sighing* You know if you can’t find them….you’ll have to clean all this up.

MC:*immediately serious again* I’ll go find them right now!!!

🌼 gardenia: would they be good at keeping a relationship secret, if needed?

– Yes... for a while, that is. And it is by accident that your relationship with him was revealed. Not because it was a slip of the tongue, no, no! Even when Rinne constantly badgers him to tell him everything, Niki would never tell a soul that he's with you. So, how on earth did he manage to mess this up?

– By treating you better than any of his other customers, of course. He is SO obvious about it. He may not realise it, but the way he looks at you or the way he asks you how your meal is gives it all away. Not only that, but when you do visit him at Cafe Cinnamon, he's always cooking you a little something extra that he always whispers 'is on the house.'

– Rinne immediately pieces the puzzle together, announcing to the other members of Crazy:B his insights to which they were actually not surprised about. Maybe Kohaku is a little shocked though... Anyway, after Rinne finds out, his teasing becomes even more unbearable for Niki, and for you too.

🌼 sunflower: how would they confess their feelings to their crush?

– His confession was during the time of the filming of AtoZ's Date Plan A to Z. When the group was taking in suggestions of what girls would like on their date, Niki obviously suggested food. He probably believes in the quote that food is the key to a woman's heart. So, that's what he did when he confessed his feelings to you.

– He baked up one of your favourite desserts, putting all his love into them. When he handed the box of treats out to you alongside his adorable little confession, you could see it in his food (and hear it in his words) all the love he has for you. So, of course you were going to accept his confession!

"(Y/N)! You're free now, right?" he asks you, huffing and puffing. He just finished practising his performance with AtoZ. "I really want to talk to you...!"

"Yes, I've just clocked out," you answer. "Are you okay? Did you run over here?"

"Y-Yeah... but it's fine. Please hear me out, okay?"

As he babbled his confession in both excitement and nervousness, you listened to him attentively. Your heart fluttered even more when he brought you over the box of sweets as he finally declared the words 'I really like you!'

When you accepted, you couldn't stop grinning, and neither could he. You thought his baked goods were delicious too~

a pleasant shiver runs from the back of your head to the base of your spine as you rouse from your slumber. you yawn softly, nuzzling into the warmth pressed against your cheek, and stilling in surprise when the warmth hugs you back. 

“you’re awake?” you feel the rumble of hiiro’s voice in his chest before you hear it. you make a noncommittal sound – not really saying something or the other, just letting him know you’re awake – and readjust your head, your ear pressed to his chest. hiiro hums and moves a hand to your shoulder, squeezing softly. the two of you fall into a comfortable silence. 

the strong, steady thump of his heart makes you smile, and you close your eyes in an attempt to hear it better. “are you trying to fall asleep again?” hiiro asks, an audible smile in the lilt of his voice. your answering silence has him chuckling, and strong arms pull you to a sitting position beside him. “it’s a new day! you can’t go back to sleep now – we’ve got so much to do!” the sweet smile hiiro gives you makes something burst in your chest, filling it with warmth. maybe waking up isn’t so bad if you get to see that smile. 

maybe waking up isn’t so bad if he’ll be here with you again as you drift off tonight. aira, mayoi and tatsumi below the cut!

“waa~ that was so cool!” you can practically see the sparkles around aira as he wears a content, closed-eye smile. 

he’d been looking forward to this live for weeks, and gushing about it for even longer. it was held by a fairly new unit – he had rambled to you about it once over lunch – but it had become somewhat of an overnight sensation. the day he had gotten the tickets, aira had come running to you, holding out a ticket and asking with wide eyes if you’d like to go with him. you had accepted, so now here you are, linking arms with the boy as you amble along the pavement.

“did you enjoy it?” 

you don’t think it’s possible for him to look any happier, but your assurance that yes, you did enjoy it very much has him clapping his hands and bouncing in glee. the scene makes something soft blossom in your chest, expanding to fill your ribs and escaping you as an amused laugh. 

“you know, i’m glad you don’t comment much on how much i like idols,” he starts, fiddling with the keychains on his bag. “most people are surprised that an idol likes idols so much, and say some weird things about it. but you just accept it as a part of me, a-and let me talk about them… uh, did i say something wrong?” he blinks at your wide-eyed expression as you try not to burst into tears at his admission. or grab him and shake him like a maraca.

the best you can do is aggressively reassure him that you’ll always listen to him talk about his interests. his resulting laugh has your face lighting up as well. “does that mean you’ll come with me to more lives?”

“wh-what are you doing!?” 

mayoi, after much coaxing, has finally agreed to put his head in your lap. even so, he refuses to put his full weight on you – my sins may be too much for you to bear! – choosing instead to hold himself above you, muscles tensed. you had just ghosted your fingers over his hair when he had gasped, pulling his shoulders up to his ears as if trying to hide in his shell. 

i’m playing with your hair, you say matter-of-factly, and he whimpers at the thought of your hand on his scalp. “you can’t!” he protests weakly. “i – you’ll be tainted!” 

by what, mayoi, you ask, before switching tactics. you assure him that it’s alright, that you want to do this. nothing’s gonna happen to you. nothing’s gonna happen to anyone. your determination is rewarded when he eventually relents, his face hidden in his hands as you undo the ribbon holding his braid. 

the first contact of your fingertips against his scalp sends a shudder down his spine, a soft sob escaping him. you smile softly as you continue your ministrations, carding your fingers through his long strands. you admire how well-maintained his hair is… the colour, the texture... and before you know it, he’s completely relaxed, fully resting his head in your lap.

he sighs contentedly, almost nuzzling his head into your hand like a cat. soon enough, his breathing evens out and you know he’s fallen asleep. be sure to savour every moment now – you’d want to be able to assure him that this was nice when he wakes up apologetic, right? 

you feel a warm pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind. the sudden contact makes you stiffen a little, but the gentle press of tatsumi’s lips against your cheek has you almost melting in his arms. 

“they look delicious," he says, referring to the sheet of cookies you're about to put in the oven. you laugh – that's uncooked dough, tatsumi, you'll get sick – and he chuckles in response. "my point still stands," he remarks. "i can hardly wait until they're ready to eat."

you feel tatsumi's soft gaze on you as you place the tray in the oven. growing flustered, you buy time by fussing over the temperature, hoping that he'll look away...

...which does not work. when you stand up and turn to face him, tatsumi's right in front of you, his smile so filled with adoration that it makes something twist in your chest. he takes your hands in his, and you slowly begin to dance to a silent song – a song composed just for the two of you, heard only by the two of you.

the aroma of your baked goods wafts through the air. you let out a flustered laugh and for a second he feels as if he’s reverted to a grinning, blushing, lovestruck boy. the lights in the kitchen are far from flattering, but to tatsumi? he swears you have never looked more beautiful than in this moment, right between his arms.

he likes making sweets! however mayoi will not let you know that of his own accord. you’ll have to figure that out on your own.

you wouldn’t realise until you learn he’s in the sweets fan club… and even then he denies being any good at it. (if you peek over his shoulder you can see himeru, tsukasa and kohaku stuffing themselves on mayoi’s treats so you can draw your own conclusions from that…)

he’d be so hesitant to make something for you… what if he messes up? what if you don’t like it and you never speak to him again? what if he accidentally kills you? please reassure him. poor boy has his face in his hands, but he’ll eventually give in… he can never say no to you, after all.

expect to find him approaching you almost fearfully, shyly handing you a neatly-wrapped box. 

he’s so adorable, nervously wringing his hands together as he waits for your reaction… and promptly blushing when you react in delight to the absolute perfection in your mouth right now.

it couldn’t hurt to make more sweets for you… especially if it makes you so happy, right?

your wish is his command. 

if you even so much as let slip about a trending dessert you’ve been meaning to try, niki is looking up how to make it instantly. 

he wants to make you happy!! and if the happiness comes from his food, it’s just so much more worth it to him.

he’d probably end up eating a few of them while he’s making them… maybe just two. or three. or four… just – don’t be surprised if he comes to you with a suspiciously small batch of cookies, okay? niki himself isn’t immune to the charm of his delectables!

he loves watching your face melt into bliss as the flavours explode on your tongue… sure, he loves cooking and baking! but knowing it’s for you gives him new determination and a pep in his step as he expertly moves around the kitchen. 

he spoils you so much <3

In the hometown event to the Sunset Savanna, it’s stated that it is difficult to get different kinds of beastmen to get along with one another. This is because their cultures and practices, despite all being beastmen, vary greatly (similar to different kinds of fae). They even point out that the acting king Farena/Falena, despite his good naturedness, has found it challenging to unite his people.

… You know who seemingly doesn’t have these struggles? 😭 LEONA, THAT’S WHO.

Look at Savannaclaw; there’s a variety of beastmen there (although it looks like it’s mostly predator animals based on just the game visuals alone, there are still many different kinds of predator animals depicted). Jack and Ruggie count toward this as well (since the former is a wolf and the latter is a hyena). Even so, the students in Leona’s dorm all hold the same sense of respect for their dorm leader and willing follow him (for the most part).

I wonder if Farena/Falena is aware of Leona’s abilities in this regard 🤔 We do see him in the book 2 flashback acknowledging Leona’s intelligence and trying to let him know that there are other ways he could serve their country without being king. Later on in the main story, we learn that Leona’s plans on interning at a mining and energy lab (presumably to learn more about how he can contribute to his country’s development via safely harvesting its natural resources). However, he also seems to have the skills and the makings of an effective diplomat 👀 you know, if Leona didn’t hate having to put on airs and all that stiff, formal stuff—

He’s pretty playful with kissing, especially if he’s had a pretty good day at Yumenosaki and wants to spend time with you

Leo definitely writes you some corny love song that ends up with you both on your couch making out as he laughs throughout it.

Apart from dedicating you songs, he also likes going on coffee dates or making coffee himself at home for you.

Sometimes when he has to babysit his sister, Leo makes it a fun day for you all loke going to an amusement park or even walking around town while there’s a festival being held at the moment

various hiiai related hcs bc they are all i think about

aira taught hiiro how to properly use his phone camera once and now he LOVES taking pictures. he sends tons of pictures of stuff he thought was cool to aira whenever they're not together and he takes a bunch of pictures of him and his friends to print out and stick on his wall

after getting over the initial 'oh god pretty boy i cant function help' phase of knowing midori he and aira actually become good friends and bond over liking cute things. they also talk about their pathetic little crushes together

before they're actually dating the ryuseitai juniors are acutely aware of hiiai's mutual crushes on each other (aira told midori and hiiro told tetora) and they occasionally try to push them into just confessing

aira is nosy and loves to hear about pretty 5's relationship gossip but tries really hard to change the subject whenever they try to get him to talk about himself. eventually they force him to invite hiiro with him to a meeting once and aira is mortified but hiiro has a good time

hiiro is a little bit sad that he can't see the stars as well in the city as he could back home. he tells aira that someday he'll take him somewhere where they can properly look at the stars together (he will point out all the constellations when they do)

aira purposefully does not wear a jacket when its cold sometimes so he can steal hiiro's. hiiro knows that he does this on purpose and thinks its cute

aira actually needs glasses but wears contacts because he thinks he doesnt pull of the "idol who wears glasses" thing. hiiro comes over to his dorm unannounced and sees him in them when hes studying or something and thinks its adorable. aira starts wearing them occasionally after this

hiiro is very curious obviously and asks aira about his manga which he reads frequently and it starts with him giving hiiro recommendations and lending him stuff and eventually gets to them reading manga together. aira like sits in hiiro's lap and hiiro has his head on aira's shoulder and cuddles him while they read (aira holds it and turns the pages because hiiro reads faster)

aira tries to get niki to teach him how he makes his omurice so he can make it for hiiro as a present but its hard to be secretive about it because he lives in the same room as him. aira's a little mad it didn't stay a secret but its cute anyway

aira likes to bring hiiro shopping and put outfits on him because he's pretty and looks good in everything. also aira buys them matching jewelry
