had a dream that someone was showing me this camera that could render anything it photographed "flawless." So like it could remove blemishes from people's faces, but also if you took a picture of a cracked glass there would be no crack in the resulting image.

Obviously this is kind of existentially horrifying but that's not the point of this post.

The point is that when dream me got the camera I immediately turned the lens onto my cat to see what she would look like "perfect." And she looked exactly the same.

genuine question here: how is a queerplatonic relationship different from a normal friendship?

Genuine answer: to start with, because it's called a queerplatonic relationship.

To elaborate, there is nothing specifically that makes a "normal friendship" a normal friendship or separates a friendship from a romantic relationship or separates a romantic relationship from a queerplatonic relationship except the decision on what it's called.

It's different because the people in the relationship have decided it is. Or maybe they haven't; maybe what they call a queerplatonic relationship, they also call a 'normal friendship' because that's what it is to them!

It differs for everyone. That's a huge part of queerplatonic relationships.

How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.

As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.

He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.

He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.

Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.

For me being in a qpr lately is like. No we're not dating. Yes this is my boyfriend isn't he great and lovely and handsome aren't I lucky. No I don't want anyone to mistake us for romantic partners.
