BoB Masterlist

The air felt cold on my skin. It had been that way the past several days in Bastogne. The same icy wind that sent shivers down my spine and made it hard to sleep at night. but even then, I still had a job to do. And that was to take care of the injured men that poured into the Regimental Aid post right behind the front lines. The constant arrival of wounded men proved just how relentless the Germans were. It was war, it wasn’t supposed to be kind to those involved, but still every time I saw the destruction first hand, I felt sick to my stomach.

Talk about twisting the knife.

“Do you ever miss home?” I heard a voice behind me. I smiled at the voice. It was a soldier named Walter Gordon, but I always knew him as Smokey. He was a part of Easy Company. Of course I wasn't with them every step they took, but I saw them almost all of the time. After shelling. After firefights. After men fall. Soon after I started recognizing faces, Smokey being one of them. I turned back to him, he was still awake.

“Sometimes, but you need sleep. We can talk more in the morning.” I said softly, careful not to wake up the others resting. It was early in the AM and only a couple hours before the drilling started again. “Talk to me when I wake up?” He asked with that sweet southern charm that he hadn’t lost within all of this mess. Looking at him made me think of how quickly life can change. He could be back home, going to school, falling in love, living his life to the fullest, but here he looked helpless. Stuck in bed, injured with no movement. The least I could offer him was comfort through conversation.

“Promise.” I touched his hand lightly, giving him a wink I hoped was steadier than I felt. And with that I left, checking on all of the men one more time until calling it a night myself.

Before I could lay myself down to rest, the quiet morning turned not-so-quiet. The blasting started, the sound was in comparison to fireworks on the 4th of July. I walked back to the opening, waiting for injured soldiers to arrive, it was only a matter of time after all. Almost on cue, the jeep came in fast. I was prepared, ready to fix up whoever I saw, but to my surprise, there weren’t any wounded men in the back. Just him. Eugene Roe. He walked out of the driver's seat and headed towards me.

The connection I had with Roe was a quiet one, formed over fleeting touches, black coffee in silence, and lingering looks neither of us could quite explain. Eugene nor I had time for verbal declaration, he felt the same way I felt about him, but there was a job at hand that had to be completed. Any feelings felt now would have to be discussed at a different time, but not here, especially not here.

“Missed me?” I laughed soft heartedly, but the look on his face was serious. He didn’t reply, I quickly wondered what was wrong but then I found my answer. Crimson blood soaked the outside of his shoulder. No. Not him. I hissed at the sight, running towards him. Before I could get too close to him he stopped me.

“It’s okay, just a cut. Stitch it up for me? I couldn’t find Spina.” I sighed in relief when I heard it was just a deep cut, nothing too harmful.

Once we got inside I stitched the wound up nicely. His face remained still, only the clench of his jaw when I finished up the last piece.

“How come you never flinch?” I said playfully.

“I flinch when you get hurt.” I froze. He had a look on his face like he never even said those words, but his eyes gave it away. I tried ignoring the comment the best way I could, even in the icy cold my skin felt hot. I kept my hand on his shoulder for longer than I should have. Even then he didn’t move. And neither did I.

“Forgive me for coming in like that. I’m sure you already got your hands full?” His voice quickly made me aware of my hand on him, I moved it.

“No worries. Need anything else?” A part of me wanted him to say yes. Any moment that I could keep him away from the line, was a moment where he was safe.

“Got any more bandages you can give up?”

I walked over to the nurse's beds. I had previously cut up my pillow because we had run out of bandages, I had half of the makeshift wrap left that I could give him. As I folded all of them up in a neat bundle, I could feel his eyes on me, watching me. Like maybe he wanted to say more. But he didn’t.

I grabbed the bandages and handed them to him. “Let me go out there with you. I know you need help.”

He took the bandages from me but didn’t move. His fingers brushed mine, cold and calloused. He stayed there for a second too long, long enough to feel like an answer.

“No. You shouldn’t be out there. he said softly. “It’s getting worse.”

“You don’t think I know that?”

He looked down and then away. His jaw was tight with that same quiet glow in his eyes.

“It’s not about knowing. It’s about what I’d do if you got hurt.”

My heart stuttered for a second. Not because of the words entirely, but because of how hard it was for him to tell me that at all.

“Just please let me help you, you don’t have to do all of the work by yourself.” I grabbed his hand, the same cold and calloused feeling that presented itself in his palm.

He looked back at me, and nodded as if it pained him to do so.

“Alright then,” He murmured. “but stay close.”

And just like that we were off. The morning had turned quiet again, the flak stopping for the moment. We didn’t know when it would start back, but at least Gene had more help.

The cold had crept into my bones by the time I made it to the line. Easy company had set up camp nice, but even then the air felt miserable. The sound of my boots crunched on the frozen ground as I heard a faint noise of soldiers' voices.

I stepped closer to the spread out foxholes. The line sure was… thin. A few heads turned my way, some I had known well, some I hadn’t known at all.

“Look who decided to show up.” Babe Heffron called out with a big laugh, that usual teasing tone in his voice was enough to make me smile. Luz was with him, and gave me a silent wink that made me feel even more at ease.

“It’s nice to see you guys” I said whilst still following Eugene. It felt nice to see the familiar faces I hadn’t seen in so long.

Once we got to his foxhole I didn’t spend any time out in the open for longer than I should. I sat down on the cold ground and waited for him to join.

“So this has been home for you?” I asked. Uncomfortable was an understatement. The ground was hard and cold to the touch, while the hole itself wasn’t much but a small area to crouch your body in. He sat down next to me. The cold still came in between us and took all of the warmth out of our body heat, making me shiver yet once again.

“Yeah, some nights it's a different foxhole, just depends.”

He rubbed his hands together in an attempt to warm up and his nose had started to turn pink again as the snow lightly fell. Although he was tired, he still looked beautiful. That same kind glow was in his eyes, even if he felt drained at the moment. All I wanted to do was take him away from the freezing cold and hold him tight. But I couldn’t. Even though he felt like mine, he wasn’t.

He was not even a foot away from me yet I felt like we were an ocean apart. I yearned for him in every way, his touch, his small laughter, the quiet assertion in his voice that sent chills down my spine in the best way.

I knew our relationship was at its precipice, and if I didn’t do something to keep him safe, I don’t think he could ever fully be mine.

“What’s on your mind, chérie?” His voice brought me out of my thoughts and into the present. He had been looking at me the whole time, silently watching the expression on my face as I tried to puzzle our complicated no-labeled relationship.

“This.” I took a breath before grabbing the sides of his face and crashing my lips into his. It wasn’t soft, but it was firm and passionate, my way of telling him I wouldn’t leave. I was tired of dreaming about the next time I could feel him close, or when I could finally share how I felt. He didn’t hesitate either. He held me close and accepted the way my lips worked with his.

When I finally pulled back, I gave him that smile I had always shot his way when he did something good. He looked like I had cracked something from inside of him.

“I’ve been waiting to do that since Normandy.” He said a little breathlessly.

I grabbed his hand to hold. “Don’t wait anymore.” And just for that moment, the war disappeared from us. It was quiet, the only sound came from our breaths. Even in the winter cold I felt warm in his touch.

And then it hit.

A deep rumble of the earth around us. It was a deep scream, then turned into a sharp whistle through the air above us. My eyes shot open

“MEDIC!” The scream cried out, I instinctively got up amidst the shelling to find him.

“NO! Stay down!” Eugene shouted, grabbing my arm back from the noise. I turned to him, looking in his eyes. “It’s okay Gene, I got it.” I gave his hand a tight squeeze, trying to reassure the man in front of me the best way I could. His eyes looked betrayed. He didn’t say anything. He let go of my arm and turned away. I felt the absence of him immediately, feeling cold. ButI had to go give aid to whoever was hurt. I had to.

I ran trying to find them. The smoke stung my eyes, and the white snow had turned into dirty slush. The boy was there in front of me, barely old enough to be here, screaming in pain right beside the tree line.

“One second! It’s going to be okay, I promised.” I tried to sound reassuring even though my voice felt like it was breaking. I ripped off my satchel and tried to find all of my bandages and a pouch of morphine until I was blinded by a flash.

I didn’t hear the second shell until it was too late. The loud crack of impact. My body lifted, then immediately slammed back into the ground.

My ears pinged. Everything hurt. The world around me was spinning as I lay on the soft snow. I tried to move, but the sting of pain rang up through my leg. Blood soaked my outfit completely. My vision started to blur, but even through it, I managed to see a dark figure running towards me.

It was Gene.

“Nononono” His voice cracked when he saw the damage inflicted on my body. He put pressure on the wound. I saw that look on his face. Then I looked at the crater-sized wound on my leg. This was it for me. He already knew there wasn’t much he could do.

He stuck me with some morphine before putting pressure on the wound. Pain rushed all throughout my body.

“Please Genie, it hurts.” I cried out at the burning feeling from my leg. It hurt too bad to keep my eyes open. To talk. Even to cry.

“I know, chérie. I’m gonna fix you up okay.” He ripped the side of my pant leg to get more access to the wound.

Others started arriving at the scene, trying to help Roe and the other man that was injured.

“Stay with me” He whispered. He was losing me, he felt it and so did I.

“But I'm so tired, Genie.”

“Don’t you dare close your eyes” He lightly tapped my face to keep me awake, but it only worked for a second until I closed them again.

My breathing slowed. The world had finally stopped spinning around me. It was still, and quiet beneath me.

“Stay with me. Please?” He begged, his voice shaking. “Please?”

I wanted to say that I was sorry. That I shouldn’t have left. That I loved him. That it had always been him, but the words wouldn’t come out. I couldn’t feel my mouth anymore.

His hands still felt warm on me, soaked in my blood.

“I didn’t get to tell you.” He whispered as tears ran down his cheek. “I didn’t get to tell you in time.” He took his hand and caressed my hair softly. He felt soft. It felt like home.

He wasn’t the stoic medic right now. Not even close. Just a man begging for one more chance with me.

I could feel my heart slowing, and then, nothing. Just the cold. Just his broken cry. Just his arms that held me knowing I was already gone.

He’s very proud of you, likes showing you off whenever he can. Almost everyone in the whole camp knows you and him are a thing. When given the chance, he’s bringing you up just to flex on the other guys. “My girl’s a vixen, the prettiest thing in this whole damn place.”

He absolutely lives for seeing you mad. It just lights a fire inside of him when he sees you putting someone in their place. “You’re a real spitfire aren’t ya, well I can handle that sweetheart. “As far as your personality goes, he finds you so cool. The way you can adjust your personality to the situation at hand amazes him. (Because he genuinely has no filter.)While times get tough during the war, He thinks to himself, “What would she do?” and it helps him make rational decisions

Before he ships out, you and him would sit alone together and talk for hours about stories about home or from childhood. As much as he loves talking, when he’s with you it’s like he has a secret mute button, but it’s only because he just loves hearing you talk.

Both of you are pretty open minded and are welcoming to all different groups of people. You two are definitely that one couple that's always taking strays under their wing, and mentoring the young kids in the neighborhood.

As far as being dirty minded, that makes two of you, He honestly can’t help it though. Just being around you skyrockets his libido. It’s safe to say he can never keep his hands off of you and even then he wouldn’t want to. If there's a time and place, he's taking his chance.

Every time you get more comfortable with him and break down one of your walls, it makes him so happy. Personality: People have told me that I look unapproachable? It’s the rbf, ahem. Introspective and rational, terrified of conflict. I daydream a lot and tend to space out when I’m not talking to someone. I’m a true introvert, but I love to talk to certain people and about things I find interesting, like my fixations or a fun hypothetical situation. I observe people more than I want to interact with them. I'm also good at reading people (to the point where my brother thinks I can read people's minds). Purple represents me best as a colour.

I value my authenticity, creativity and emotional intelligence (I can’t say I’m really empathetic, but I listen to people when they need me to and I try to be there for them). But I am quite sensitive and emotional. I tend to remember events in which I was hurt easily. My friend would describe me as a jaded Disney princess because I daydream a lot and used to be idealistic as a kid but now I'm more of a realist/pessimist. I also seem to be developing a bad habit of impulse buying cute things like phone charms because I now have easier access and money.

I was raised by parents who are both thinkers, so I find that I tend to think quite logically (when I'm not stressed) compared to my feeler friends. Not easily influenced by what's considered the norm (I don't like conformity much) and by extension social media. I am good at academics. I was top of my class in primary school for 3 years straight. In high school, I was tied with one other person in my batch for the top spot. Thing is, my classmates probably couldn't tell that I studied? Cause I don't do it at school, I do it at home, where it's quiet. There was a time when everyone was frantically studying in class half an hour before our exam and I spent the time talking to my friend about anime instead. I got the second highest score for that subject. Meanwhile the other top scorer in my batch would take her notes everywhere with her, even to the toilet. So I was probably thought of as a talented genius rather than one who worked really hard.

Many people have called me pretty. Also complimented my handwriting, they say it's so neat it looks like computer print.

I don't like when people touch me most of the time. I like to touch them on my own terms. Like a cat.

Tend to get lost in new places. :’)

I seem to have good luck when gambling/playing card games. Ex: I usually get the deal breaker cards when playing monopoly deal.

When someone tells me to do something, I usually do it if I think there's nothing wrong with it. And then I find out they didn't actually expect me to do it.

When I say something sarcastic, I say it in a deadpan or neutral tone so my friends usually go "really?" and I'm like "no I was being sarcastic".

I admire activities that require certain movements like playing instruments and ballet that I can't do because my spacial awareness/motor skills are shit. Also I have no practise ethic. I can't do the same thing over and over again, I'll get bored.

I love cat plushies.

I don't like bugs but will leave them alone as long as they don't come close to me. I don't trust myself to be fast enough to kill them so I just run away even when they come close (this applies to mosquitoes as well, I just let myself get bitten).

I read a lot of fiction growing up so now I'm disappointed by a lot of the books I buy and read because my standards have raised. So I find that the plot is bad/boring.

He enjoys knowing how much you like reading ,especially poetry. Sometimes he’ll ask you to read some of your favorite pieces to him when he’s bored or can’t sleep. Its just something about your voice that soothes him right to sleep

Some nights, he’ll make you some amazing Dubu Jorim when you’re craving tofu extra. He’s also always making excuses to surprise you with chocolates.

He loves watching thunderstorms with you. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. His favorite part of it is watching you with fascination everytime the lightning strikes.

I feel like for y’all’s anniversary he is trying his hardest to learn and pretty much teach himself how to crochet a flower or maybe even a plushie if he gets good at it. He would try his absolute hardest until the day of the anniversary, where he finally surprises you with a bouquet of flowers he made.

Gyu would LOVE taking you to any amusement park. I think him going to six flags would be a life changing experience, he absolutely loves and he loves you. Other than that one his favorite date would be going to the arcade together. He likes being competitive with you but isn’t a fan of physical activity, so beating each other in arcade games is the next best thing.

He enjoys whenever you’re being sarcastic. Usually he can tell when you are but when other people can’t? He finds it hilarious.

Overall he loves you his heart and would happily do anything for you, just say the word and he will <3

I think he would meet you sometime after the war. He’s at your home to fix a leaky faucet (a small job he picked up while going back to school.) When you open the door for him, he forgets to breathe for a second. He genuinely believes you are the prettiest thing he’s ever seen. He might be a bit bashful about it but he has to ask you out afterwards.

For his date, he’s taking you out on a sweet picnic on a sunny Sunday evening. That’s the day when he knew you were the one.

He’s a bit shy at first around you, but quickly gets comfortable. He’s completely fine with being the “leader” or wearing the pants in the relationship but he isn’t controlling about it at all. He’s so gentle when it comes to you.

You need words of affirmation? He’s the best guy for it. Every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed he's reminding you how much he loves you, how beautiful you look, and how proud he is of his girl. You will NEVER feel insecure in a relationship with him. Every time you compliment him or something like that he can’t help but blush like crazy.

He loves that you like to read a lot like him. For any holidays or special occasions, he’ll go get you a book you had been wanting to read forever. When he gets really tired at night and can’t sleep, he might just ask you to read some to him.

Woody absolutely adores your cooking. He thinks it’s so sweet of you to cook for him after a long day. He won’t stop repeating how blessed he is to have you. Oh and if you make your famous bread or those rolls he loves? he’s a goner.

On some nights after you finish cooking, he’ll hold you in the kitchen and dance with you to some jazz classics, it’s one of his favorite ways to be close to you.

I think he would also take up gardening with you in his free time. He thinks it’s so convenient to have veggies and plants growing in your own backyard. And same for flowers because they are just so beautiful. (catch him making you a beautiful bouquet out of the flowers you two have grown)

Once you two get a place together, you guys are getting a fluffy St. Bernard that gives the best snuggles!!

He’s so understanding when it comes to you being around other people. He knows that you aren’t you aren’t super friendly with other people and he completely understands . You don’t need to be when you’re with him and that's totally fine!

He’s going to try his hardest to keep you off the line for your birthday and the next couple of days after that, probably as a runner. Even though the conditions aren’t perfect, he tries to make your birthday special as possible.

Lewis Nixon: He’s finding you wherever you are at midnight and singing happy birthday to you (in a loud whisper voice though bc he doesn’t wanna give up the position) , he’s going around and collecting what he calls, “Birthday tax” If anyone has extra cigarettes (if you smoke) or chocolates, anything really, then he’s taking them and giving them to you as a gift. It’s pretty sweet to see all the guys put something in to make your day :)

Carwood Lipton: That whole day, he’s going to your foxhole every couple hours to see how you are. He’s of course going to wish you a happy birthday and all that fun stuff! He knows it’s not ideal but tries to make the best of it.

Eugene Roe: I’ll be honest, with him making all of his rounds it might be a little hard for him to see you, but I promise that he’ll be there at least 50% of your birthday. During the small moments where it’s just peace and quiet, he’s celebrating you as much as he can, whether it be from talking about past birthdays or holding you tight, he enjoys every minute of it. For a gift I feel like he’d give you a sweet candy bar and a promise ring that he had bought from a blacksmith while he was in england.

When he shows you it, it’s pretty enough to make you cry. “I’m sorry we couldn’t do more today, I’ll promise to make it up to you when we get home.

Shifty Powers: For his present, it’s the cutest book filled with romantic poetry. “Everytime you read it, maybe you’ll think of me.”He’s taking his ration of chocolates and putting a little candle in it to sing happy birthday to you. He also makes sure to sing happy birthday again when you guys all eat dinner together. He would tell you about his birthdays back home and how his mom would make the best peach cobbler on his birthdays. He promises that when you guys get back home she can make some for you too.

Babe Heffron: He’s trying to be as romantic as possible without being an absolute fool. He’s making you coffee flavored ice cones with the snow and giving you any of the extra clothes he has. For your gift he’s giving you some Jenever that he’s saved from Holland to give to you (which took a LOT for him not to drink until then.) Also later into the night he’s giving you another special gift that will raise your spirits for sure.

Frank Perconte: He’s saving up all kinds of stuff MONTHS before your birthday, (he’s kinda gotta collectors thing going on for your gift.) He’s got a photo of the countryside of England, one that he had been meaning to give to you. Along with a small globe from France that he has had the hardest time keeping safe. When he gives it to you, you can see that it’s been stuffed and protected by newspaper and old letters that he’s collected.

Ronald Speirs : He tries his best to see you, but with him still being with D company it’s hard. He’s going to meet up with you late in the evening while the line is quiet to bring you your present. It’s a beautiful necklace that the family he billeted with in England gave him. He talked about you 24/7 to them and by the time he had to leave, they wanted to give him a gift for you. Along with that he’s giving you a little note explaining how much he loves you and how he wishes your birthday is as special as you are.

Johnny Martin: Similar to Nixon, he’s going around and collecting (more like forcing) the guys to give up any of their extra cigarettes or candies that might have saved up, which they do easily because let’s be honest, you’re everyone’s favorite. Once he surprises you with them, he lets you know that he’s gotta gift waiting for you at home whenever the wars over, (surprise surprise it was an apt for you guys to live in after the war so yay)

Chuck Grant: This sweet guy is collecting all of the fallen evergreen leaves and making you some sort of makeshift bouquet. The best thing about it is that it’s beautiful, along with the sweet thought. He’s putting you at the first of the line everytime you guys get food so it isn’t extremely cold by the time you get it. He’s going to try to keep you from going on any patrols that day too. All he wants you to do is relax and try to get away from the personal hell you’ve been fighting in.

Skinny Sisk: “Happy Birthday sweet thing, your wish is my command, doll.” He’ll do anything you ask him too. He’s gonna serenade you with his God awful singing of happy birthday and gift you with the prettiest watch. “I figured you’d need it since you’re always asking me what the time is.” Don’t ask how, but he’s getting the cook to make you something that looks like a cake? It might not be the best but it’s the thought that counts.

David Webster: He’s probably got letters saved up from when he was in the hospital and missing you. The sweetest love letters that he had planned to give you on your birthday. After that he gives you almost all of the chocolate and candy he had saved up while being away from the line to give to you. “I know this isn’t a lot, but if we make it through this I’ll make it up to you tenfold.”

Buck Compton: He tries to be in the best spirits for you, truly. He talks to Winters and Lipton about taking you off the line as a runner for the day and they agree. He might not be totally vocal about how much he loves you or how happy he is to celebrate you but I promise when you look into his eyes you’ll see everything he means to say to you but quite can’t. He doesn’t try making conversation while you aren’t feeling good but he’s so present during it all. When you finally doze off to sleep, he’ll be by your side holding your hand.

Getting you food and making sure you have a cold compress on your head every so often. “Trust me you’ll be better in no time hon.” Lew also is gonna hook you up with a bunch of meds to get that fever down.

Carwood Lipton: He feels horrible when he sees you like that. You say the word and he’ll do it. It could be robbing a bank and I'm sure he would comply. He’s going to be there by your side, holding your hand the entire time while you rest. Reading a book quietly while taking care of you. He’s making sure you have water and are taking your meds exactly when you’re supposed to.

Joe Toye: He’s quiet but he’s very set on getting the job done (taking care of you). He’s trying his hardest to make you soup (he’s following your recipe but it does not come natural to him poor baby) Joe wants to make sure you don’t move a finger. If you do, you’re in trouble with him. He will sit quietly with you and watch movies or color, anything you want to do.

Joe Liebgott : “C’mon doll let’s go get you to rest.” He doesn’t let you move, you need to itch your leg? He’ll do it for you. You need water? He’s got it for you. He hates seeing you like that. He’s going to the drug store and asking the pharmacist what he should give you for a high fever. If it gets any worse he might recommend putting you in a cold shower.

Bill Guarnere: He’s actually really good at helping you. Of course he’s making you sit down and rest until that fever goes down. “See doll, my bedside manner is actually amazin’.” He’s giving you tylenol, hydrating you and keeping your body comfortable. Anything to break the fever. Bill’s so patient and loving.

George Luz: He’s the one that notices you have a fever in the first place. “You’re hot. I mean you are hot but like, you’re burnin’ up.” His bedside manner is also pretty amazing. Here let me help you with that. He’s going to be spitting all of his infamous one liners to try and get your mind off of being sick. He's giving you double the serving size tylenol on accident though.

Moe Alley : He’s taking care of you as quietly and quickly as possible so that you can spend the day sleeping and relaxing. He promises you to make you any kind of soup and he surprisingly is a good cook. “You need anything else sweetheart, then let me know.” You realize how attractive he looks when he’s taking care of you and it’s enough to keep you sick for the rest of the week.

Eugene Roe: He’s conjuring up some natural cajun medicine to get that fever down. Maybe some honey and other spices/herbs and it will also help you relax too. “Drink slow, Chérie. It’s still hot.” Taking care of you is such a second nature to him. He’s so naturally good at it, that you’ll feel better in no time.

Bull Randleman: He’s doing almost anything to break your fever. He has a bit of anxiety seeing you sick and so he tries his absolute hardest to get you feeling better. Whether it’s cold compresses, meds, or an ice bath, he’s using all of his options before he takes you to the walk in clinic (which he will do if it doesn’t go down after 24 hours)

Floyd Talbert: He isn’t super good at taking care of you at first, but he learns quickly. I feel like once he realizes you have a fever he’s gonna telephone his mom and ask her what he should do to help you feel better. He’s a little clumsy at first. Giving you too much or too little medicine and forgets to feed you for the first couple hours but by the end of the fever he’s almost a pro.

Skip Muck: He’s a really good caregiver but he honestly forgets that you’re sick and just wants to rest :( He’s a sweetheart and doesn’t mean to do it on purpose, but after giving you your meds he’s going a hundred miles per hour on something you can’t stay conscious to listen to or make sense of. Don Malarkey: You would have thought you had a gunshot wound. He’s a bit dramatic, in the way that he’s checking up on you every 2 hours and giving you a routine or meds, old compress and all that jazz. He’s really good about making sure you take your medicine and eat. He won’t let you get up to do anything other than go to the bathroom though. You have to convince him not to take you to the doctors.

Shifty Powers: He knows something is wrong with you before you even know it yourself. “Oh darlin’ Just say the word and I'll do it, okay?” He hates seeing you sick. He wishes he could take the pain away from you. He’s not loud and he doesn’t panic, but he’s firm. He’d gently sing to you church hymns or old country folk songs to calm you down.

Babe Heffron: Babe doesn’t talk much when he’s worried, but you can tell he is by the look on his face. “Jesus Christ, when did you start feeling like this sweetheart?” He’s warming you up canned soup (bless him) and convinces you to drink as much water as you can. He doesn’t sleep that night other than stand by your side like he’s on guard duty lol.

Frank Perconte: He’s loud at first, but then softens once he feels your head. He’s a little fussy about you not telling him but he'll get over it. “You’ve been feeling bad this whole day and you didn’t tell me?” He’ll wrap you up in the covers, making sure you can’t leave. If you do, he’s tucking you back in all over again. He’ll check your head over and over with his hand till it goes down (because he doesn’t trust thermometers lol)

Ronald Speirs: “You’re sick” His face is unreadable, and his voice is flat, like usual. But then he drops down to you and puts his hand on your head, “Why didn’t you tell me?” He gets softer once he sees how bad you’re doing. He takes control of your care. Getting you blankets, food, water, meds, and all the other necessities you need to get better. When you’re asleep he’s gonna stay by your side the whole night. “Don’t do that again.”

Johnny Martin: He’s kinda like Perconte, he fusses at you for a small amount of time, “why didn't you tell me sooner? I knew you weren’t feeling good.” He’s getting everything he’ll need to take care of you and fix you all up. He’s gonna pet your head softly while talking to you about the future to distract you. When you doze off, he’ll be by your side standing guard until you wake up again.

Chuck Grant: He’s wrapping you up in a big blanket, and bringing you tea, medicine, and water with a look that says Take this, no questions asked. He stays by your side but stays quiet, wanting you to rest. He doesn’t want you to get up or do anything and when you get frustrated because of it, all he can say is, “You don’t have to be strong right now, just let me help you.”

Skinny sisk: He’s a mess, but a cute one. He’s giving you meds, a damp cloth, and some tea but is going to be checking every 5 seconds if he’s “doing it right.” He probably will bring you three different soups because he wasn’t sure which one you’d like more. He’s nervous and a bit awkward at first but he catches on pretty quickly.

David Webster: He’s super attentive and sweet, but he’s also hyper aware of every symptom you have like he’s studying for an exam. He's very meticulous about his care taking. Giving you water at the right temperature, giving you medicine exactly when you need it. To help you go to bed, he’ll read a book to you until you're sound asleep.

Buck Compton : He’s picking you up and carrying you to bed like it’s nothing. “Alright tough girl/guy, you’re down for the count.” He’s going to try to crack jokes here and there to make you smile, or tell you funny stories about old teammates or LA antics. Once you fall asleep he kisses your shoulder and holds your hand the entire night.

Finally once he catches him, He’s spraying raid on the little guy while trying to console you. “See, it’s dead.”

Carwood Lipton: He gets a little worried when you scream bloody murder from the kitchen. He runs out to see you, perfectly fine? And then you point to the roach and he finally understands what you were screaming about. I feel like he wouldn’t kill the roach like Dick, and take it outside. After he does that he’s checking on you to make sure you’re okay. “It’s not in here anymore honey, I handled it.”

Joe Toye: He’s getting raid (or whatever substance they used in the 1940s) and is killing the bug. Simple. Plain jane kinda stuff. “Let’s get down from the counter babydoll, I got the little fella’.” He honestly thinks your reaction is pretty cute. He’d never tell you but it makes him feel good when you call for him to kill bugs and such, it lets him know he still has some use to you lol.

Joe Liebgott: Hearing you scream honestly scares the shit outta him. He runs to you to see, what, a bug? “Doll you can’t scream like that, I thought you were being killed, and, why are you up there?” He forgets that you actually get terrified of bugs like plenty of others, “Don’t worry i’ll get him honey” I feel like Lew he’s gonna have a hard time catching him, and when he does he’s curb stomping it lmao

Bill Guarnere : He’s gonna be laughing at you until the roach starts crawling towards him, then he’s gonna be moving around yelling too. It literally looks like him and the bug are boxing up on each other. “This little fucker is going down.” After a long battle between him and the bug, he finally kills it. “Welp that was easy, sweet pea, don’t ya think” (cue in your laugh bc what?)

George Luz: Best believe he’s gonna be up there on that counter with you. He’s breaking the gender rules on this one. In his mind, the one who spots the roach has to kill it, and that person was you. (of course he’s gonna kill it for you but he has to tease you about it first.) “Baby look at it, he’s harmless, maybe we should keep him as a pet” After the teasing he’s finally going to get down and get the roach. “See honey, that was easy.”

Moe Alley : I have a feeling he’s gonna get the roach out quick and easy with no problem. He does think it’s pretty cute though when you get all scared over a little bug. “Don’t worry, sweet thing. I handled it.” Just know he’s gonna pick you up and plop you back on the floor if you stay up there for a while. Afterwhile I think he’d call an exterminator to make sure there weren’t any more where that one came from.

Eugene Roe: When he hears you yelling his name across the house he runs across the way to check on you “Woah there, what’s the matter?” He scolds you for yelling so sudden, just because it scared the crap out of him, but only for a second because he can never stay mad at you. “I got it, now everything is all good, darlin’.” He’s caring the roach with a jar and then releasing it back in the wild.

Bull Randleman: “Sweetheart what’s all this fussin’ about?” When you point to the bug all he can do is laugh, “That’s no big deal, I’ll get him for you,” This gentle giant is taking the roach and putting it outside, away from the house. Afterwards he’s gonna check on you to make sure you’re alright. “If you see any others you let me know, okay, honey?”

Floyd Talbert: A part of him freaks out when he sees a gigantic flying cockroach in the kitchen. “I never knew they could even get that big” He reluctantly tries to kill the bug, even though he is a bit scared (but at the same time trying to impress you) After he kills the bug and cleans up the mess, he gets so paranoid that there’s more out there. “ We should probably do some deep cleaning after this, don't you think?”

Skip Muck: He’s gonna freak out a bit, but he’s brave enough to get the job done (for you and you only) Catch him with the fly swatter hitting almost everything in the kitchen, missing everytime. “Okay, I almost got it!” Once he finally kills the bug he’s so relieved. “Thank God, I thought the bug was beating me for a second. He’s inspecting the house later though to make sure none of his other big buddies are still hiding out.

Don Malarkey: He’s taking the bug outside and finding it a little home somewhere out in the woods. “Let’s hope we don’t see anymore of those guys for a while.” He’s going to be so sweet when he checks up on you. Like consoling you even though the bug is long gone LOL “You okay, honey? I’m sure that gave you a big scare.”

Babe Heffron: He’s going to be yelling at the roach like it can hear him tbh. Running around the house hootin and hollerin with a broomstick trying to get the bug out the house. Once he finally kills it, He acts nonchalant after like he didn’t just give an oscar worthy performance right in front of you. “Ah it was nothing, but it is gonna cost you a kiss or two.”

Shifty Powers: He has a completely different reaction as babe haha, he’s so cute about the whole thing “Aww that’s what you’re afraid of? I got it honey.” I think like Don he’s taking the roach out and finding him a home somewhere in the woods. “It’s alright now, they’re living here just like us. Nothing to be scared of really.” (AHHHH my heart)

Frank Perconte : He’s having a panic attack when you tell him there’s a bug on the loose in the house. He starts tap dancing all over the kitchen to try and kill the bug. He’s the type of guy to spray an unnecessary amount of raid until the bug is completely dead. After that fiasco he’s calling an exterminator and making SURE there aren’t any more bugs around.

Ronald Speirs: He’s catching the bug fairly easy. I feel like he would catch it with a napkin and then squish it in his hands or something like that haha. “See honey, that was no problem at all.” He does take a kick out of seeing you up on the counter, like some of the others, I think it’s nice for him to know he’s still useful for something.

Johnny Martin: “What the hell is all that yelling about?” And then he sees the roach and totally understands your reaction. Surprisingly, I feel like he would have an extremely difficult time catching the bug. He’s knocking down whatever comes in his path to catch the little sucker. With his luck it might even fly right towards him. He’s gonna kill it just fine but it’s gonna take some elbow grease.

Chuck Grant : He’s gonna laugh at you a little bit before he actually does anything to remove the bug. “Babe, it's not gonna hurt you. I promise.” Finally he will get the job done with some raid or just one big stomp. “Are you alright sweet thing? See, it wasn't that bad at all.” He’s so sweet at reassuring you after if you were genuinely scared though.

• Really random but whenever you dye your hair he wants to match hair colors with you!! It’s one of his favorite things

• Whenever you’re feeling a bit insecure about your appearance, let me tell you this man is gonna feel so bad, in his eyes you are absolutely perfect, so he genuinely can’t see why you would feel this way about yourself. Just know he’s going to go out of his way to make you feel beautiful (even if that means kissing on every inch of your body)

• He loves seeing you being the “mom” of your friend group. Just seeing you go out of your way to take care of everyone makes him fall in love with you all over again. He just knows that when you guys start a family in the future, you’re going to be the best mom.

• Okay but I just KNOW you guys would have some of the best yap sessions when you guys are in a talkative mood, like you guys would probs talk about anything and everything just because you can

• Trust when I tell you that he’d protect your heart with all he’s got. Both of you are really hopeless romantics when it comes down to it. It’s like a part of him is healing your inner child because he is honestly so respectful and loving to you

• Whenever you feel comfortable, he is the BIGGEST cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. He honestly loves when you’re clingy too. Like please jump all over him and stay by his side

• Also let me tell you, this man LOVES your cats!! The first time he meets them he’s buying them all kinds of toys and treats, he is a proud cat dad and is definitely going to make your cats meet his cat at some point!

• PLEASE watch some ratchet reality tv with him. He will be so confused at first but it will be absolutely hilarious

• He loves when you fall asleep on him. Just know he won’t move an inch of he knows you’re tired and really need the sleep

• When you eventually get a place with him, y’all’s house is going to be consumed in stuffed animals and blankets. During every holiday or celebration he HAS to give you a cute jellycat. You guys have a whole collection of them

• He loves hearing you sing. It’s one of his favorite things when you’re enjoying yourself singing some karaoke. I just know you and him could sing breaking free like no other.

• Whenever you get scared and see any spider, just know he’s your designated spider catcher

• Just know this man LOVES you with his whole heart!! If you want to be treated like absolute royalty, then he’s the guy for you !
