Limitations of Using the Odoo Community Edition
Basically, Odoo community edition is the edition where you can get access to the basics only. On the other hand, the enterprise edition is where you’ll find a lot of supports and advanced options. The community edition is free, and the enterprise edition is paid. That’s why it comes with so many advantages. You’ll surely face some barriers at the time of working with the community edition.
For example- in case of community edition, you can’t get a handful of functions and features. Hosting, version upgrade and unlimited functional supports will be missed if you use community edition. It will also lack the mobile version.
You’ll also miss the studio features and full accounting support in the community edition. If you get Odoo for sales, in community edition subscriptions, eSignature, VoIP integration, digital products, helpdesk, etc. In the case of manufacturing, you won’t get any function except MRP. Lead scoring, e-mail marketing templates, and marketing automation are not available in the community edition you are talking about.
There are many more features and functions you can’t enjoy in the community edition.
Odoo community edition is for testing purpose- as far as I can understand. If the users of this edition find it comfortable to use, they start using the enterprise edition. So, the community version doesn’t allow you to get all the functions.
