After a few days off from social media, I´m back with a new illustration in memory of David Bowie, who left us on January 10, 2016.   David Bowie is one of my favorite singers, since I discovered him in “Labyrinth” with Jennifer Connelly; film that marked my youth; or in his collaboration with Queen (my favorite rock band). Since that time, I have always returned to Bowie for inspiration or enjoyment in the face of his chameleonic personality and performance. ¡62 ilustraciones en un mes!. 62. Dos Inktobers completos en tiempo. Cuando me embarqué en esta locura no creía que pudiera llegar siquiera a la primera semana. Puede que haya a quien no les parezca gran cosa; pero a mí, Ilustrador de producción lenta, ha sido toda una sorpresa. He superado mis propios límites demostrando que puedo producir más rápido sin perder calidad. Ha sido un viaje extenuante que me ha dejado baldado, y he necesitado unos cuantos días de descanso, incluso lejos de las redes.   Lo único malo de la experiencia éste año es que, además de quitar demasiadas horas al sueño, o a mi propia vida (que no he tenido prácticamente), tuve que reducir paulatinamente lo mejor del reto: la interacción con vosotros. A medida que pasaban los días he podido responder menos mensajes, ver otros Inktobers y hablar mucho más con vosotros.   No sé si es mi última experiencia con el Inktober, ni si de hacerlo repetiría con dos a la vez. Lo que sí tengo claro, y que analizaré en otro/s post/s es que cambiaría o mejoraría algunos aspectos técnicos y de organización que puede que a algun@ os interese conocer.   Una vez más, gracias a quienes me habéis acompañado en este viaje. Gracias por los ánimos, los likes, por seguirme y por vuestro apoyo. Se ha notado, y ha contado. Mucho. VTM Inktober 2021 - Day 31 - World of Darkness - Everlasting Love - Messiatz. Npc of my Chronicle of Vigo by Night´95. United by fate to the Gangrel Vania Vallar [day 1 of the VTM Inktober], represents True Love and the union with the Humanity of the Gangrel. Hetera of renown in the Byzantine Court years before his first fall (under the troops of the IV Crusade), Messiatz moved with his beloved Gangrel to his lands in Bulgaria, to disappear from his life kidnapped by Tremere enemies of the Gangrel who they turned her into a gargoyle (in the style of those in Disney's 90s "Gargoyles" series). Her final sacrifice would be vital in the Chronicle of Vigo by Night for the final victory when she, and the Sleeper's heart exploded into a thousand pieces. With the chronological restructuring she was never heard from again, and her gargoyle cat (now Salubri´s Valeria Salini [day 6 of VTM Inktober] as well as Gangrel Vania Vallar, and those of the Coterie with whom he traveled to the Past to change the "End that should not have been", are the only ones who remember her. Perhaps, Destiny wants to give her a new incarnation in this new reality of the current Chronicle of Vigo by Night. The visual reference for the character is Jennifer Connelly. Inktober 2021 - Día 31.2 –  Agradecimiento  – Noe & Punky. Los años posteriores a la separación y el divorcio fueron muy duros para mí, pues la depresión volvió a golpearme con dureza. Gracias a los amigos, a la familia, y especialmente a mis hijos, poco a poco he ido creyendo en que el mañana será mejor. Estoy no sólo recuperando la persona que fui, sino construyendo la mejor versión de quien soy. En ese proceso de sanación, probablemente sin que ella sea consciente de ello, mi buena y muy estimada amiga Noelia fue una pieza clave. Ella y su fiel Punky y los días en el monte, largos o breves, con fotografías, o mantrailing, con comidas caseras en el monte, fueron esa última ayuda clave para reafirmar la sanación.   Por ello, y porque las actuales circunstancias hacen que nos veamos menos, he querido agradecer aquello que se me ha dado, sin haberlo pedido, fruto de un corazón generoso lleno de muchas más virtudes.   Muchas gracias, Noe. Inktober 2021 - Día 31 –  Loved One, Retrato – Lula. La muerte de mi Madre dejó un profundo vacío en mí, pues también era mi mejor amiga. Cuando mi hija Lourdes Anneke (Lula) llegó, yo estaba sumido en la depresión por la enfermedad y muerte de mi Madre desde hacía más de un año antes. En aquel momento no estaba preparado para abrazar con alegría el manto de la paternidad (había aceptado serlo por amor a quien me lo pidió al mes de morir mi Madre). En el momento en que visité a mi hija y ella con toda su mano cogió mi dedo índice, sentí una conexión única con otro ser humano. En aquel momento, se forjó el recuerdo más poderoso de mi vida, que espero y deseo sea el último recuerdo que pierda, si es que eso llega a ocurrir algún día  He aprendido a ser Padre al tiempo que he aprendido a vivir sin mi Madre. He aprendido de todos y cada uno de mis errores, siendo consciente de ellos en el camino de la Paternidad. He seguido aprendiendo, aun cuando la Familia fue rota unilateralmente. Creciendo como Padre en la distancia, soportando la pena y el dolor de la no poder estar con mis hijos más que en la brevedad de los fines de semana al mes, o determinados días de las vacaciones.  Siento gran orgullo de la persona en la que mi hija se está convirtiendo. Admiro la resiliencia con la que afrenta sus luchas interiores y externas; debatiéndose entre el deber y el querer, creciendo y desarrollando su maravilloso potencial. Llevo deseando conocer a la adulta que será desde que cogió mi dedo con su mano, y estaré orgulloso de ella hasta cuando no esté para recordar ese momento. VTM Inktober 2021 - Day 30 - World of Darkness - Ghoul - Lucia Javorcerkowicz, The Wizard. Pnj of my Chronicle of Vigo by Night´95. Lucia accompanies the entity called "The Man Without Time" as her assistant for more than 1000 years. It is the one in charge of organizing all the homes and the multitude of people who work for it, with efficiency and results. Due to the problems I had today (I had to redo the illustration of All Might after 3 hours of work, since fatigue played a very trick on me with the anatomy), and therefore, even having another sketch, that It would take too much work, so I had to stick with this other idea. Inktober 2021 - Day 30 - Manga / Anime - All Might (Boku no hero Academia). Toshinori Yagi is my favorite BNHA character. My daughter introduced me to that anime a couple of years ago and it has become one of my favorites, as well as All Might, which, whenever I can, I draw trying to pay tributes to both Superman and illustrations by the great @thealexrossart. And in this case to the classic and mythical pose of Clark Kent changing from the shy reporter to the symbol of Hope. Magnificent and sensual character of the even more impressive Diana / @ ladycamafeo, who is part of the Kamanala comic created with @madridbynight.   I had wanted to make this illustration for a long, long time, ever since I saw the photograph that served as a reference. Unfortunately I saw it in an IG story, and I did not save any reference or data that I can put.   Inked with Fineliner Staedler (numbers 0.8, 0.6, 0.4, 0.2 and 0.05). The host of the magnificent animated series What if…? has made its way to the Inktober, honoring both series and character with this illustration. I was about to make it also in A4, but the devastating production rate and the piece from the 28th still pending completion, made me decide to leave it in this size. Estuve a punto de hacerla también en A4, pero el demoledor ritmo de producción y la pieza del día 28 todavía pendiente de acabar, me hizo tomar la decisión de dejarle en éste tamaño. VTM Inktober 2021 - Day 28 - Marie Thérèse Sambre (Clan Toreador). Pnj of my Chronicle of Vigo by Night´95. The exuberant bullfighter with long golden hair and lion eyes is one of the Paladins of the Sambre Familia, a unique Toreador Bloodline from my Vampire Chronicle. Inktober 2021 - Day 28 - Heroes Unlimited RPG - Cheetah. Illustration of one of my many characters from Kevin Siembieda's Role-playing game for Palladium. In this case a (apparently) feline humanoid animal, well accompanied by other cheetahs. I have almost done this illustration in A4, but with how bad time has gone, and all the work that has overlapped me, I have left it in this small format, as a preliminary study for a larger version.   Inked with Fineliner Staedler (numbers 0.4, 0.2 and 0.05). Winsor & Newton indian ink for the illustration wash technique. Color with liquid watercolors Vallejo and Page watercolors. –SPOILER ALERT for my Players- VTM Inktober 2021 - Day 27 - World of Darkness - Immortals - Estanislao Zerind. Dark Ages NPC within my Chronicle of Vigo by Night´95. Estanislao, after his first death discovered that he belongs to the race of The Immortals. He is the cousin of a OC from the Chronicle (the Koldun Angyalka Zerind), and was once a Crusader Knight too devoted to a too relaxed life, which left him ill in bed. After the Embrace of his cousin Angyalka he remained by her side as a Ghoul, becoming the best version of himself, always in love with Evelyn Elufssen. He is a NPC with whom I have always really enjoyed acting.   The illustration proposes the character in our current nights. His visual reference is actor Liam Nesson.   Inked with Fineliner Staedler (numbers 0.8, 0.6, 0.4, 0.2 and 0.05). Jinhao SB56, SB57 and SB8 markers for hair. Winsor & Newton Chinese ink for the illustration technique and filling of masses. Gouache Talens white for lighting and fog corrections and effects. VTM Inktober 2021 - Day 28 - Marie Thérèse Sambre (Clan Toreador). Pnj of my Chronicle of Vigo by Night´95. The exuberant bullfighter with long golden hair and lion eyes is one of the Paladins of the Sambre Familia, a unique Toreador Bloodline from my Vampire Chronicle.
