everything stays the same as it would if it was a normal fic, too. the avengers might show up and do their usual "oh hi peter" thing, peter might get pulled aside to help with something the other interns are doing, tony fucking stark walks in and gives peter a kiss on the cheek and tells him theres thai food scheduled to come at 8pm, and natasha casually spars with him. and meanwhile his class is just standing there wondering why quiet kid #1 is getting noticed by the fucking avengers.

not in the flash thompson special "how can such a normal, quiet, LOSER penis parker be noticed by them" way, but in a "this dude literally never talks and he's getting his shit rocked by black widow. and he's fighting back. where the FUCK are we." way.

+1 if there's another kid named eugene in the class. he's like, the nicest kid ever. but tony mistakes him for flash and is a minor asshole to him the whole time. like not picking on him to ask questions during the QNA or outright ignoring him. poor eugene thinks he pissed off Ironman😭

there’s some alternate world where tony goes into a coma after the snap. and everything in FFH and NWH happens for Peter Parker. except peter now just lost access to updates about tony’s condition. and he keeps hope/dread that tony will actually remember him when he wakes up. Every knock on the door makes peter jump, thinking it’s someone from Tony’s team saying tony’s asking for him, peter parker, even though nobody understands why. He waits for that knock on the door.

and one day, he reads in the news that tony stark survived.

and so begins the very long week of realizing… he forgot too. Peter’s last chance.
